Fox has an oval face with high cheekbones, framed by long, straight brown hair that she wears lose most of the time. Her eyes are almond shaped and almost the same brown as her hair. Her mouth is a light pink colour and her bottom lip is significantly thicker than her upper one. She's never liked her nose much, because it's much longer than she would have wanted.

Fox is known for her kindness and soft nature. Sometimes, she cares too much about other people and forgets about herself. Her good will could also be seen as one of her biggest weakness. It makes her naive, gullible and vulnerable to exploitation to those who only have their own interest in mind. Fox often wishes she was braver and thinks of herself as weak and cowardly, although she posesses more strength than she gives herself credit for, especially when she sees her friends in danger.

Being from Factory station, with her parents both working hard to feed their child, Fox' family never had a high opinion of the Ark's goverment. Her father would often run his mouth about Chancelor Jaha, sure that the priviledged were keeping more than their fair share of food for themselves. In his opinion, the guards were no more than the governments marionettes, blindly doing their bidding. This seemed to be the popular opinion throughout Factory station and the youth had created a popular sport of making fun of the guards patrolling every part of the Ark. Whoever could mock them best without being caught could boast about their bravery.
Fox was usually too scared to attempt anything herself, watching her cousin and the other kids make fun of the guards, but keeping her distance. The others kept teasing her though, daring her to play along. She finally gave in, pretending to kick one of the guards in the butt as he walked past. Just as she kicked up her leg with a nervous grin on her face, another guard rounded the corner ahead and saw her. They arrested her on the spot, not believing that she'd only been pretending, playing around. Her cousin Adam rushed towards her when the guards grabbed her and he was arrested as well.

Fox was scared when she first came down to earth with the others. She'd grown up hearing stories about earth being poisonous, not survivable. After a while she grew more confident though and enjoyed the freedom after being locked up on the Ark for so long. Resenting her home's government as much as the rest of her station, she was keen to get rid of the wristband that was still tying her to them.
The Delinquant was among those who caught the virus that Murphy brought back from the Grounders, but she was lucky enough to survive it. Along with 47 of her friends, she was taken by the Mountain Men. For a while, she thought that she would be safe with these new people. But she and the other Delinquants soon found out that they hadn't been taken in our of benevolence. Fox was taken by the Mountain Men trying to defend herself and her friends. Bellamy saved her and she threw herself into his arms, relieved and terrified at the same time. Maya's father took her in to protect her from his people, but she's later found to have died at their hands anyway.
