.:Personality:. James is reserved and tends to keep to himself. He puts all of his energy into his job on the guard and training so he can do his job better. He prides himself on his ability to take care of people and protect them like he's supposed to. James can get a bit of a temper if the right buttons are pushed, and that tends to put him back a few steps. James tends to be honest and often more honest than he should be. But many people end up appreciating this about him. He easily falls into the role he needs to play in order to make things work.

.:Special Skills:. Hand to hand combat and using a knife. He's fairly good with a gun but that is something he's been forced to work on since arriving on Earth. His fatal flaw is his temper, as it sometimes overcomes any logical decisions. James has worked on his battle strategy skills since coming to the ground, but has not really had a chance to put them to good use.

.:History:. Born and raised on Alpha station, Thaddeus James was born to Kate and Logan James. His mother died of natural causes when he was seven years old. His father was a member of the guard and became an Inspector at some point in his life. However, Logan James was released from his job as inspector for unknown reasons while Thaddeus was in his second year training to become a cadet. From there his father became a history teacher, focusing on wars throughout the world. Thaddeus always knew he wanted to be a member of the guard, but not because of his father. When he was eighteen he started his schooling so he could become a cadet. After his three years of training he made it to cadet status and following a year of being a cadet, he was finally made an official guardsman. He led a mundane life on the Ark, doing his job and making sure the citizens of the Ark were protected and that the laws were upheld. 

After landing on the ground, James continued to serve as a guardsman. He was always weary of the grounders but kept to his orders. It wasn't until the survivors from Farm Station were found that James knew he wasn't the only one not trusting the grounders. He sided with those that thought the grounders could not be trusted, and in turn ended up siding with Charles Pike when the time came. James believed it was the right thing to do, as he had always wanted to do what was best for the citizens of the Ark.
