He has brown hair, light skin, and blue eyes that are perhaps his most prominant feature. He dresses with sophistication, as much as he can provided what is available on the Ark.

.:Personality:. Crane has a very analytical way of looking at things. This trait has allowed him to excel in his professional field, however can sometimes create a social awkwardness in his personal life. When at work, he is eloquently spoken, able to organize his thoughts and perform his duties as a psychiatrist with excellent caability without letting emotions cloud his judgment. Outside of this, he can be a little less confident and unsure of himself. Despite this, not all of his social ties have suffered. He is on excellent terms with his former wife [up until a certain point], and he was extremely close to his daughter.

.:History:. Crane was born on farm station, having a rather normal upbringing. Nothing out of the ordinary, nothing apart from being loved by two parents, and having a humble life. He had always taken an interest in psychiatry, even at a young age. His mind was wired to look at things from a different point of view, not making him one of the "cool kids" but not subject to torment or ridicule either. The first major life altering event, was the marriage of his childhood friend. They had been friends majority of his life, despite their class differences as she was among the privileged. Their friendship eventually turned into more, dating for some time before getting married. They however quickly realized that they were better friends than a romantic pairing. It wasn't long after that they were divorced, but a daughter came out of the marriage. They both doted on her, having no tension from their failed marriage as they remained close friends. They raised her together, and she was the source of pride and joy for Killian.

The next major life altering event, was the failure of the Ark. Crane remained with farm station, his former wife and daughter with him. Together, as a family. They survived the landing to Earth, believing that was the hard part. As soon as the doors were opened, they were experiencing the fresh, new air of the ground. The children went out to enjoy it, among this his daughter. Unfortuantely, fate had other plans. They were attacked by Azgeda, and among the victims, was Crane's daughter. Devestated, he mourned her death. His capabilities in his former field, compromised. This also caused a rift between him and his former wife, who was once his best friend and now, they both thrust blame at each other for not protecting their daughter better. A stage of mourning, as Crane continues to grieve. He tried to help those through the trauma of the ground, but deemed himself unfit to council, less mentally stable than ever before. He eventually went to Arkadia with the others, and was among one of the first to take the chip when offered an escape for his pain. His mind knew that it was not possible . . . but his heart could no longer bare the suffering of his loss.
