i can't know how you feel Marcus both agreed with and hated the idea. Ever since Jake Griffin had found the flaw which would eventually kill them all, the plan of 'how to save the human race' had been something they were desperately trying to find. The plan was suggested that they send some people down to discover if the Earth was livable. Marcus agreed with this part. He didn't think it was, he was a believer of science and facts and every project they had run said the year needed more time. He was willing to try it if it meant they MIGHT have been wrong. It was also suggested that they send people down who would not have been of value to the whole. With this, Marcus agreed. He didn't want the best of everything going down, because when they died of radiation then the knowledge would be lost. Where he disagreed with, was sending a bunch of kids down. The every idea was against logic and reason. IF the Earth was survivable--what then? The were kids with no knowledge, and most of them violent. However, Marcus was one to pick his battles. He would send the kids down, and it would give the Ark a few more months of air. He didn't like it, but he would see it done. Even if they sent others, eventually they would be right back at looking at them again. It had been a busy day int the medical bay, which was why Abigail Griffin had not come tot he council meeting. That, and because it had been known her daughter was one of the ones who would be sent down. Believing her vote to be compromised, she had not been told about the meeting. Walking down the hall to her rooms, Marcus heard the thud of his boots echo slightly against the metal hallways. Ominous thuds that warned of bad news. He paused outside her door before pressing the pad of keys there. While he could easily just walk in if he wanted, as the head of the guard he had access to every area on the Ark, he instead buzzed to let her know he was here. |
