.:Name:. Abigail Griffin .:Nick Name:. Abby, Doctor Griffin .:Affiliation:. Arkadia .:Age:. 40
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Abby has brown hair with blondish highlights, and since it's past her shoulders she generally has it braided. She has equally brown eyes and light skin from being on the Ark all her life. Though small compared to most of her comrades, Abby makes up for it in tenacity and ferociousness. Her clothing generally consists of denim, including her jeans and jacket. Nothing fancy, often patched and reused and washed out of blood considering they can't exactly go to the nearest clothing store. The only jewelry she has is a simple chain necklacke with her wedding band safely hooked in it along with her ears pierced. .:Height:. 5' 5" (1.65 m) .:Portrayed by:. Paige Turco

.:Personality:. Abby is a woman who fights for what she believes in, with a strong will and determination to follow through no matter the cost. Consequences mean nothing to her in the moment, because if she believes she is right, nothing else really matters, especially when it involves people she cares deeply about. She isn't afraid to face her punishments, whether it was getting executed by floating or even shock lashed on earth. Her strong will drives her, whether it's medicine and saving people or standing up for what she believes in(often involving differing opinions with a certain Marcus Kane).
Abby is not without her faults. She is guilt ridden from her actions which lead to the execution of her husband and allowing a young teenager to take all the hate from her daughter. Although she typically displays a level head especially in stressful situations, this crumbles when her daughter is involved. Abby displays kindness, caring and a protective streak that doesn't just include her daughter but a daughter-figre in the name of Raven and others in the Ark - their safety and well being important. Being on the ground, she is slowly adjusting to the different way of life and looking toward a brighter future. Though whether that comes to pass is a different story entirely. .:Special Skills:. Medicine. There is a reason why Abby is Chief Medical Officer and it's not because of her good looks. Abby has been studying medicine since she was old enough to choose a field of study and this includes risky surgeries both on the Ark and down on earth. Confident in her skills, she was able to run Clarke through medical procedures, operated on Raven without numbing solutions and even broke open Ontari's chest to pump her heart.

.:Birthplace:. The Ark .:Family:. Clarke Griffin(daughter - alive). Jake Griffin(husband - deceased). Jackson(like a son - alive). Raven Reyes(like a daughter - alive). .:Occupation:. Chief Medical Officer, Former Chancellor, Former Council Member .:History:. Abigail Griffin was born on the Ark when it was up in space, not when it came crashing to earth. She wasn't a Griffin then, the last name taken when she married chief engineer Jake Griffin. Her life on the Ark was unremarkeable growing up. Rules were followed, lessons were studied and her field of medicine was decided young - even from a young age she wanted to help people. After marrying Jake, she fell pregnant with their daughter Clarke. Due to the Ark's rules, Clarke was her only child, and Abby couldn't be more prouder.
Training to become a doctor wasn't easy and it took up much of her time. Helping people was well worth it and when just before she was appointed the chief medical officer, she was to mentor a budding doctor named Jackson. This mentor/mentee relationship developed further with Abby viewing him as her own son and trusting him with helping Clarke when she was sent down to earth while Abby was sentenced to be executed. It was her husband that found the fatal error in the Ark and although she begged him to keep quiet, she ended up getting him floated when she told Chancellor Jaha about it - hoping that their old friend could help sway Jake's mind.
When Clarke was arrested and sent to the sky box, Abby tried everything she could to help her. This proved fruitless when they delinquents were sent to earth, begging Kane to leave Clarke out of it - not the first time and not the last time the pair would come to arguments. Though all she could do was monitor from the Ark, she was called in to save Jaha's life after he was shot, using more blood supplies than they were allowed too which was reason for her execution. Jaha returned the sentiment by overriding her execution order. Momentarily she was lost in grief over losing Clarke until the kids were able to contact the Ark, telling them it was survivable.
Abby met the genius mechanic, Raven Reyes, and with her help refurbished an old escape pod. Abby was supposed to go with Raven but due to circumstances, ordered Raven to go down instead while Abby stayed in space.
Air on the Ark was getting worse with even a little girl losing her sight. When word came out of the state of the Ark, people volunteered to die to give the Ark more air while they tried to find a way to survive. Jaha found the answer and was able to send the Ark down to earth where Abby soon realized that things were much different, if not worse, than those of the Ark. She tried helping a boy named Finn escape being executed, sent armed delinquents to find her daughter, was shock lashed by Kane for arming said delinquents. She survived the bombing on TonDC and managed to find Kane under all the rubble. Though sickened with the knowledge that Clarke knew about the bombing, thus straining their relationship, Abby would come to forgive her daughter after almost having her bone marrow harvested by mount weather.
Though disgusted by the betrayal, Abby still went to Polis to learn about the treaty and find out that the Sky people would become the 13th clan instead. Things seemed to look up, even indicted into the coalition, but because the Arkers voted on Pike to become chancellor, he made the pact null and void. Working with Kane and the rebels but that crumbled when Alie was able to infiltrate Arkadia. Abby refused the chip at first, only taking it to save Raven's life when she slit her wrists under Alie's control. Under Alie's influence, she was able to get Kane to take the chip by readily getting ready to be shot, torturing her daughter for information on the flame and even hanging herself. After Clarke was able to use an EMP to rid the chip, a guilt ridden Abby helped Clarke fulfill her plan of transfusing the nightblood through Clarke so she could save them all.
