It was like he was two people sharing one body. There was himself, aware of all his actions and then himself, bound by Alie's control. He couldn't fight, his loyalty unwavering to Alie and not to the clan who had become his family. "Just take the key." He'd already watched as one of them poured the water on her face, watched as it seeped through the cloth to give her trouble with breathing. Pinning her down even though she could clearly kick his ass. She didn't want to fight, would rather take this torture than to fight. It killed him to see her this way and in an attempt to protect her, he'd taken the chip.
Except instead of being able to help Luna, he was forced to hurt her.
"Just take the key." That was what he said after he pulled the soaking wet cloth off her face, held her ever so gently as she thought he was still on her side. But the moment those words came from his mouth she knew. And he had spun her around, grabbed her by the nape of her neck and pushed her face into the drum of water. Held her as she struggled, even when the bait was brought in. A child, orphaned by war and used for Luna to submit, or so the plan was.
He held her, his grip unwavering. "Just take the key and she'll be fine." He promised after Alie had told them to cut the child and Luna would submit. They had no choice but to listen and follow. Even for someone with an aversion to violence, under the influence he had no qualms with using it against them. That included Luna. In his right mind he never would dream of hurting her, but the chip had shifted that and he had no choice.
The cloth and water didn't work, dunking her face in water and holding there as she struggled didn't work. But the child, that was the key. Luna would not allow a child to be harmed. She would submit, and if it didn't work? Derrick was sure Alie would have another plan. She was all knowing and all powerful after all, she had to know what to do.
But right now they had to get Luna to take the damn key. Luna((ooc// feel free to godmode Derrick as well! I think we can probably deviate a little from the actual scene where he's able to go hand to hand with Luna. Or we can have him still try to fight but and lose because Luna is way too good ^^))

I didn't flee the conclave because I was afraid I would lose I fled, because I knew I would win. L una had thought Derrick got free. That he would pull her out and cease the torture. But . . . he had taken the chip. She knew why he did it. If the situation were reversed, she would have done so as well, if only to no longer see the one she loved in so much pain. She went from having the water poured over her with a cloth, to the aggressive forced dunk of her head into the water. By Derrick. When he pulled her up, she gasped for breath, trying to remain composed, calm. She could handle a little pain. She was more concerned about what taking this chip meant for Derrick. What it meant for the others who had also taken it. The opening of the door caught her attention as one of the orphans was dragged in.
One that Luna was incredibly close to. Concerned flickered across her features as she watched helplessly. Derrick knew her weaknesses. In order to get to her, one did not have to inflict violence on her. But inflict it on anyone else, anyone she cared about . . . well, that would certainly Luna's mind. But she could not let it get so far. Her eyes locked onto the young girl, knowing that it was time. Time to fight, even against her own people. Her teeth sunk into the skin of Derek's hand, biting him hard enough so that he would let go.
With that, she pulled the dagger he held on him and spun around, stabbing one of the guards. One of her guards. Another life claimed. Another murder committed. There was no time to think on that though. Having taken advantage of the close proximity of Derrick, Luna quickly grabbed his head and slammed it on the edge of the tub that she had just been dunked into. Enough to make him pass out. The other two guards began to advance toward her, and Luna eliminated them quickly, slitting one in the throat and stabbing the other.
Blood on her hands that would never be washed. But alas, what choice did she have. Skaikru barged into the room, but Luna didn't have time to react to them. She quickly restrained Derrick, tying his arms and legs together. A few more guards hurried in and Luna explained that they needed to put him somewhere safe. So that he was not a threat to others, and himself. Once that was done, there was a memorial held for those who passed. One where she gave Skaikru another drink and once they passed out, they were returned to land. Luna's focus now remained on her lover. With each day that passed, she went to see him.
To give him food and water, feeding him, trying to give him a drink, but he wouldn't take anything. She was terrified he was going to die from malnourishment alone. He was being held in a shipping container and Luna visited him as much as she could. But it broke her heart, to see him this way. Looking into his eyes she believed he was still in there, somewhere. As she pleaded, begged for her Derrick to return to her. But with no success. Would he be like this forever? As the days rolled by, Luna felt more and more afraid of that possibility. But she wouldn't lose hope. She would never give up on Derrick.

He held her, making her watch as they would cut into the skin of the girl they both viewed as their own daughter. Instead of her submitting like Alie had assumed, Luna bit down on his flesh with enough force to let him go; he felt no pain but the shock and intrigue he felt was enough and she was free from his grip. In short order she had taken out one of their guards and then turned on him, the force of the blow knocking him out without giving him chance to retaliate. He wasn't in his right mind to see the beauty of the warrior beneath or feel terror at the knowledge that she could very well take his life.
Luna was a combination of beauty, power and death; she could take life if she so desired but it was peace she sought. He had admired that. Such power and yet she wanted not to bring death and pain on people.
Derrick woke up to being completely bound and tied to a chair, held in one of the big containers they hardly used. He didn't speak even as Luna came to visit, offering him food and water to keep him going but he didn't eat, not took a sip. Still holding onto the hope that she would take the chip, unaware that Skaikru had already been sent away, unaware of other plans in motion. Unaware that Luna would never ever take the chip because he wasn't in his right mind. He no longer belonged to her, he belonged to Alie and as much as he would have died for Luna, that had now shifted. If his death helped their mission then he would slowly starve and be fine about it.
Hunger gnawed at his insides, largely ignored much like the way his lips were dry, cracking from lack of liquid. He wouldn't let Luna near him, threatening to bite should her hand come anywhere near him. She tried talking to him yet he wouldn't respond - the silence coming from him was deafening. He did allow his bite wound to be cleaned though he had no choice in that event. His wrists were bound in such a way that they could access his hands without any form of retaliation.
Somewhere beyond the rig, Clarke was able to enter the City of Light and pull the kill switch. As soon as it crumbled, his mind became his own; the chip liquefied, breaking off all control. He didn't feel any relief when his mind snapped back to reality. Guilt flooded his system and he pulled his hands up to his face, the bonds preventing him from doing so. Not only had he hurt Luna, dunking her face in the water and ready to attack her, he had been willing to harm a child. Instead of killing him, Luna had managed to knock him out, something he was grateful for but also knowing he deserved more than that even if it wasn't his control.
He had taken the chip voluntarily. In order to protect Luna, not hurt her and that had been twisted the moment he had swallowed the chip. He stared at his hands, the hands that were not supposed to be used to hurt that had grabbed the woman he loved. Held her still as he pushed her face into the barrel of water. Held her there as she twisted and turned but not breaking.
"Gods be good. How could I?" He spoke, his voice echoing, the agony and guilt on his face screamed volumes. Luna
