THE HELL WE WANT

This would have been simple mission was suddenly turning into a complicated one. Bellamy supposed that should come as no surprise though. Nothing on the ground was ever simple. One situation often held ten complications to it, and fate was seldom ever kind to him. The only fortunate thing was that no one was injured, yet, and Bellamy hoped that he could keep it that way. With his gun firmly gripped on his hand, the rain was starting to get heavier and heavier, the clapping of thunder and lightning heard. It would be dangerous to stay out in this storm any longer than need be. The way there had been uneventful.

They had been asked for help when it came to their medical expertise, and also required medicine that the Arkers had. It was why Jackson had come along with them. Murphy came for the familiarity with the terrain, since he had traveled far beyond the boundaries of Arkadia -- something that the Arkers had been rather stifled by thanks to the Grounders. But together, they formed quite the competent team. Glancing between both men, Bellamy was following Murphy's lead since he had said that there was a bunker up ahead that they could seek shelter in. Wait out the storm, and Bellamy had a feeling, they would be waiting there all night and head out in the morning sometime.

Jackson still found himself in awe of the power of nature sometimes. He'd seen big storms before, but he wasn't often out in them. He was usually safely inside medical. But Jackson didn't slow down, keeping pace with Bellamy and Murphy, even as his clothes started to soak through to his skin and rain dripped off his nose. They had to get to safety soon, or they could be in trouble.

Initially, Jackson had wished it had been just him and Bellamy on this trip. Jackson wasn't really sure what their relationship was anymore. Bellamy was one of the rare people Jackson let his guard down around, in stolen, private moments, but he didn't know if that was going to lead to anything more, and at this point, he wasn't going to dare ask. But Jackson thought it would have been nice not to have to wear his professional face the whole trip in front of the younger male he didn't know as well.

But he understood why Murphy was with them, and right now, Murphy seemed invaluable. "How much further?" he called to Murphy through the rain. The terrain was starting to get slick and more dangerous.
