Mel stood by the door of the training area watching the training session. She was surprised that the girls seemed to be just about as tough as the guys. But she knew that she was not strong like the rest of them. It had been a month since she had landed on the ground. She had wanted to train to be in the guard. She was small and afraid to ask. She worried about her mom and dad and wanted to look for them, but she had always been told that she was the only survivor. When everyone had finally disappeared but Bellamy she walked over quietly. her thoughts going back to that day on the cliff. She had told him the she wasn't strong and the she was stubborn. Maybe. His words still stuck out in her mind. "Be stubborn a little longer." Maybe stubbornness was her strength. She was determined to do what she could find her parents. If that meant learning to fight then she would do it, just so she could get outside of that gate. She bit her bottom lip and then spoke softly. "Bellamy?" Her warm brown eyes looked up at him as she tilted her head. "Will you help me?"
She knew that he had been there for her before and that despite everything that was going on, he was was still her closed friend and she loved him dearly for saving her that day on the cliff. Sterling had fallen to his death. A sight that she could not forget. But even with it still crumbling, Bellamy could have given up. But he didn't. Not until he had brought her safely up to him. So she had always be partial to Bellamy. Even the way he had helped her with a sling for her arm. The arm was almost healed and she had been given the go ahead to use it once more. She fully intended to definitely be stubborn. Even a bit longer than that. But she didn't want to give up. If her parents were out there, the she would be sure to find them and this required her to be brave and do whatever was necessary to make sure that she was able help her parents, if they were n deed alive. She somehow felt she could trust Bellamy.
