.:Personality:. Anya has a complex personality. She is very protective of her people and she seems to be cold and cruel. But you can see it is because she take her job as a Unit Leader very seriously. She doesn't let emotions make her decisions for her. She knows that emotions can be costly and she sticks to the rules at all costs. Even if only to make sure that her people are protected. When the delinquents arrive she is not happy and distrusts them from the start. Though she appears cold and calculated you see later that she has a motherly way about her when Tris dies and she cuts off a braid as you can see that her heart is broken at the loss, before she regains her composure.
.:Special Skills:. Anya is a warrior and a leader first. She can fight alongside the rest of her people if she has to. She is a protector and has a strong determination. She stands up for her beliefs even if it goes against what others might think. Proficient in horseback riding.

.:History:. Anya was born on earth. But she has made her people her top priority. She considers the Sky People intruders on their land and she wants them in a nutshell to leave. She was raised to become first a warrior for her people and then rose in rank to become the Unit Leader for her tribe. She learned to hold her emotions in and do what needed to be done and that was what was needed for the job. Possibly the loss of her parents at a young age might have triggered this in her and she decided that emotions were not practical. Even so Anya does have another side that she shows very rarely. One of which comes out after a member of her tribe is injured in the explosion on the bridge.
Anya shows us that she can be quite motherly, and in that situation she takes a braid off of the head of young Tris in remembrance of her loss. So she has the love of her people and the respect. Anya is brave and is not afraid to die when she is fighting for the rights of her own people. She learned this at the knee of her mother, who was also a warrior in the tribe. Something that she has taken to heart.
