.:Physical Appearance:. Monty is clearly a descendant of people from the continent of Asia on Earth (unlike his adoptive parents). He has straight black hair and warm brown eyes. Monty usually doesn’t bother too much about his appearance. He pays more attention to making himself known with his knowledge rather than looks, which is why he usually doesn’t dress to impress but for comfort and practical reasons – really pink shirts with sequins just get in the way when you try to feed carnivore plants.

.:Personality:. Monty is a smart young man. He has a deep sense of compassion and would rather help people than to harm them. He prefers peace and quiet, not just in his workspace, which is usually as removed from the chaos of the camp as is safe. He is a very loyal individual, willing to follow those who earned his loyalty to whatever it takes. Towards those he feels loyalty for, he is willing to risk a lot for, trusting them, despite evidence sometimes not supporting it, as loyalty and friendship was just more important to him. Monty can be very sassy and sarcastic sometimes, but also extremely blunt – if he dares to me.
.:Special Skills:. He’s got a vast technical knowledge and knows almost every plant that used to exist on earth. As he witnessed evolution on the Ark firsthand, he is capable of identifying which plant could be an evolution or subspecies of which.

When Monty was born his mother was barely 17 years old. She had no permit to have a child, making him unregistered and illegal. His father was immediately floated for it, his mother arrested and floated as soon as she turned 18. A couple from Agro Station, the Greens, had a permit to have a child, but they could not conceive one, so they volunteered to help the few unregistered babies survive. It was in his time with the two people in charge of the pharmaceuticals on the Ark that the couple fell in love with the small child they helped raise. As they had a permit they approached the council with the option of adopting the child and not having their own in favor to make the boy legal and registered.
Montys childhood can only be described as a good one. He had two loving parents, who never made him feel like he was any less just because he was quite obviously not their biological son. They treated him like he hung the moon and the stars and in return he worked hard on his knowledge to make them proud. He was friends with Jasper Jordan from a very young age on. The two were a bit of nerds, but eventually they started to get each other into trouble as they discovered the magic of mushrooms and other plants. They started experimenting with those drugs, which eventually led to the inevitable: One of them forgot to replace the plants and they got discovered. Monty will never forget the look of disappointment and fear in his mothers eyes as they dragged him away, as it was maybe the last time he ever saw her.
He and his friend got sent down with the 100 on the mission to determine if earth was habitable again.
