. Maya ends up helping the Sky People when their leader brings them in. She is one of the few they can trust. She is a shy, adorable eighteen year old and stands up for what she believes in. Even if it goes against her people's own needs and beliefs. Even though she knows that she may get in trouble and punished for her actions, she puts her life on the line to help the Sky People. She had a huge heart and cares for those around her.  :.

.:Maya's father is Vincent Vie. Her mother was killed earlier leaving her and her father alone..

.:Maya and her father lived in Mount Weather. When she was a child, her parents were part of a resistance movement. They felt that the blood treatments from Grounders was wrong and her mother had refused to accept the treatments that kept them alive.  After her mother's death her father had no choice to but to accept the treatments because he wanted to be there for his daughter. They were very close and he ended up giving his life to protect her. Working in the Medical Ward and assisting with decontamination of the Sky people put her in a position to have access to parts of Mount weather that most did not.

Maya met some of the 100 when she was cleaning their cells for contamination. She had a soft heart and she did what she could to help them. Jasper had a place in her heart and she put herself in harms way to make sure that he was safe and help him and his people eventually find their way out of Mount Weather. Though, not all of them survived.:.
