THE HELL WE WANT
She left. Clarke had left Just like that, she walked away from them. From him. Words could not describe how much it hurt. Every time she had asked him to stay, he had. But the one time he needed her to . . . she didn't. He knew he had his family here, and was never dismissive of that, but what he had Clarke had been through . . . only they could understand it. Only they could comprehend what the other was enduring. And she wasn't here for that. Bellamy had told her together, believing they could overcome this and heal from it as partners . . . but he needed to start letting go of that thought.
He didn't look back. He just went straight inside the gate of Camp Jaha, being the last one in. The adrenaline of everything was starting to wear off, and left only was the weariness and exhaustion. Yet, a whole new wave suddenly erupted within him when he saw who was running towards him. "DADDY!" And Bellamy crouched down with open arms to meet his son's expanded ones as jumped right into them, causing Bellamy to lift him up in the air and spin him around for a moment before just holding him against his chest. Bellamy's hand went to the back of his son's head, closing his eyes as he took in his scent.
And the feel of holding him once more -- not having known if he would ever be able to. His son's squeal of delight was the most beautiful sound he had ever heard. When he opened his eyes, he saw Gena holding their daughter as she approached him as well, and started to step toward her. He looked down at their daughter, his free hand moving toward her, thumb gently caressing her delicate cheek before leaning down to kiss her. He then looked at Gena, uncertain as to what emotion was behind his eyes. "It's over." They had won. But at what cost? That, was something that Bellamy would bear. He would not dump the burden on Gena. Right now, he just wanted to be with his family, and bask in the relief that they were safe and together.
