Deacon Brand
This strapping young man is Deacon Brand. He is either an Arker or a delinquent, it's really up to the person who takes him up. Ellie is a shy girl who doesn't interact with people much, she's afraid of her own shadow. She needs someone to bring her out of her shell. And that would be the job of Deacon. He can become her best friend first maybe something 'more' later. So his age would be between 15-17 and not afraid to be with a fourteen year old.
