Tag: seren1 It was hot and Perseus had no idea how long he'd been in the desert by now. The sun burned on his skin, but he had to move on. He had to find his brother. Perseus felt that he was still alive, he had to! He grabbed the bottle he had attached to his belt and drank from it. The little bit of water that was still in there gave him a feeling of satisfaction and he pressed his lips together. There's no time to lose, he had to keep moving. He attached the bottle back to his belt and started to walk, more slide, further into the desert. "I'll find you, I swear," Perseus murmured.

Emori found it easier than some to walk through the desert and to brave the blistering heat from the sun that beat down upon her, because for the majority of her life she'd lived and worked in the desert, venturing occasionally back to forested areas that offered more cover so that she could rest and stock up on water from the rivers. She was dressed appropriately for the desert, with her face and head covered to offer protection from the sun and the sand that blew up into her face. On one of her hands she wore a large glove and she had a knife that rested on her hip. She was travelling alone this time, she often split up with her brother after they'd agreed on a place to meet in a couple of days and so it wasn't unusual to find her without him at her side.
She spotted movement up ahead and raised a hand to shield her eyes from the sun so that she could get a better look. It appeared to be a young boy, struggling to walk in the sand and from a glance Emori noticed that he wasn't wearing the proper gear to spend a prolonged amount of time in the desert. Picking up her pace, Emori quickly managed to close the distance between the boy who obviously didn't know how to walk properly in the sandy terrain "I'd say you were stupid, but that doesn't seem a strong enough word" she called to him when she was close enough to him. She wondered if it was his first time in the desert, but by the look of him she could probably guess the answer.

Tag: seren1 Perseus was exhausted because of te heat, but he wouldn't give up. He got the feeling he's not making progress in his walk, but knew that every step brought him closer to his brother. Atleast, he hoped for it. He saw a young woman approaching but gave no attention to her. But when she started talking to him as she got closer, Perseus sighed. "Why do you bother?" he asked and moved on. "I know what i'm doing." Perseus looked shortly at the person almost right next to him. So he was slow. He faced forward again and tried to walk faster, but he knew he couldn't. It was too hot and his legs felt like twigs on the brink of breaking. He wished he had a branch or something like that to keep him up securely, but he hadn't so he had to do it himself. "Why is a girl like you alone in the desert?" He asked suspiciously but then remembered he was alone too.

"You don't look like somebody who knows what they're doing" Emori observed and usually she would've kept walking if she saw somebody struggling in the desert or she would've robbed them blind, but this boy didn't look like he had anything worth taking and he looked like he was a little younger than her brother, she knew that if anyone found him in a similar situation then she'd want them to stop and help.
Emori raised an eyebrow at his question "I'm more than capable of looking after myself" she said as she glared at him, if he wasn't careful then he'd learn just how capable she was. "If you've failed to notice, you're also out here alone" she reached up tug down the material that hid the majority of her face from view "I spend a lot of time out here... But it's clear that you don't" unhooking the pouch of water that was clipped to her waist by her belt, she offered it to him "you're not gonna last the day out here" in the desert the days were long and the nights short and the boy was not wearing anything that would protect him from the heat "so I'm going to ask you the same question, what are you doing out here alone in the desert?" Tag: seren1 Perseus did not answer on the young woman that kept walking near him. He did not like strangers and wanted flee from them as soon as he could, but the desert made it hard for him to actually do that. "I noticed," Perseus snapped and found himself almost tripping. He heard what the young woman said and wondered why she would bother about him. It was his choice to go trough the desert, right. "It's my first time here, but I think noticed that too, don't you?" He looked at the pouch of water and doupted at first, but then grabbed it and drank from it. It tasted so much better then his water, that was warm and tasted brackish. "Thank you. . ." He gave back the pouch and heard her question. "My brother," he said and wiped his mouth. "He's gone. I'm searching for him. Have you seen anyone passing by the last few days?" Perseus asked and he stopped walking. His legs hurt and so does his back. He saw a great expanse of sand in front of him and when he turned around, he saw even more. How long would it take him to get out of this sandy surrounding. A day or two, three? Maybe he'll never get out of there.

"Hm, it is obvious that you don't have much experience in the dead zone" Emori admitted, unable to hide the smile that appeared on her face at the boys hostility. He accepted the water that she offered him though and that told her that maybe he was willing to trust her. Taking the pouch back when he offered it to her, she clipped it back to her belt.
"I've seen quite a few people out here" she told him when he asked her if she'd seen his brother, "what does your brother look like?" she couldn't remember exactly what every single person she'd robbed looked like, but if he described him to her then maybe it would jog her memory. He'd said that his brother was gone, but he hadn't said why he'd gone, had he been taken or had he left willingly "if he's out here then maybe he doesn't want to be found?" she suggested, looking away from the boy momentarily when she saw him beginning to look around, she figured that if she just allowed him to wander through the desert alone then he'd probably end up dead.
