whatever THE HELL WE WANT They had all been at the brink of death. Literally. Everyone was locked up in the air vent while Clarke had been forced to watch her friends die. Visited by a ghost of their past . . . one that Clarke had apparently seen more recently in Polis. But it hadn't been the time to talk to her about that. Emerson had nearly killed them all but at the last moment, Clarke was able to knock him out, free them and well, they took immediate action. Once Bellamy was fully conscious once more, he quickly restrained Emerson before the man woke up, and put him in their cage or prison.
The place that had once housed the Grounders, along with their own people. Bellamy told the others he would keep guard while they did whatever they needed to, and load up the rover to leave. With that, he kept a gun on him, standing in front of the closed prison door with Emerson on the other side, hands bound. Bellamy glanced over at him, noticing that he was starting to stir and took a deep breath. Truth was . . . Bellamy couldn't entirely blame the man.
While he hated anyone who was a threat to his sister or the others, Bellamy had destroyed his people. Killed the. Committed genocide. He deserved the man's hate and anger. They had placed value on life, and decided that his people were worth killing if it meant saving their own. With all that was happening within his own people . . . Bellamy found himself bracing himself for Emerson. For whatever he had to throw his way. But all he could do was watch the male as he started to wake up, instinctively holding his gun a little tighter as he looked at him through the caged door.

Emerson's dark blue eyes opened and closed slowly as he regained consciousness. His head hurt which made it harder to actually open his eyes at first but he adjusted to the light eventually after raising his head to get a better look at where he was and what just happened. He sat up slowly to get a clearer look of where he was but still trying not to make his slight headache any worse. It soon hit his mind that he was in more or less a prison cell in Arkadia. Looking around, he was now fully adjusted to his surroundings, he could see he was clearly imprisoned. The male growled slightly and sighed angrily, he was so close to what he had been trying to achieve for a long time. First losing his family and the rest of Mount Weather to then be taken to Polis and finally banished to where he was expected to die. well here he was again, locked up and awaiting someone's judgement. he punched the ground next to him where he was sat, out of anger and frustration.
Moving his head back to lean on the wall behind him his eyes locked on to a figure of which seemed to unfortunately not be Clarke. A chuckle escaped his mouth when he realized it was one of Clarke's friends who he attempted to kill earlier. with his head still against the wall he kept on watching Bellamy as he stood there, Clarke's right hand man was here guarding him but where was she? " Where's Clarke? " he said in a deep voice. he moved his head slowly around to crack his neck before looking back at Bellamy " How's your friends?..." he said mildly caring of course but just to get to Bellamy " how's your sister? " he smiled, he knew Bellamy was protective of her and to get Bellamy to give up his weapon when Emerson was about to kill them he had to make some leverage to get Bellamy to do so. He sighed again, still angry at the fact he was here and not finishing what he started. He leaned forward and put his hands on the ground to stand up. He wanted to get out but he saw no way out apart from that cage door being opened. He didn't walk around the room that much but instead just went to lean against the wall once more. He kept on looking around for any other way while eyeing Bellamy out to see what he was doing.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy watched the surviving Mountain Man as he hit the floor, a sign of aggravation over his situation. Understandable. The man had failed in his attempt to kill them all. But Bellamy remained silent when he inquired as to where Clarke was, where the others were . . . where Octavia was. Bellamy's jaw clenched at the mention of his sister. How Emerson knew that Octavia was his sister, Bellamy hadn't the faintest idea. "They're safe from you," he answered bluntly, trying to keep the emotion from his voice as his eyes held a stoic glare toward the survivor of Mount Weather. That was what mattered right now. That they finally had the upperhand.
That Bellamy could keep a close watch on the bastard so that he didn't get near his sister, or any of the others again. "And I'll do whatever it takes to make sure it stays that way." An underlying threat in his words. A determination to protect his people. The same kind that had caused him to kill over 300 in Mount Weather to ensure the safety of his own. Now, to be confronted with a survivor of that . . . well, Bellamy was doing all he could to keep the stoic demeanour in the face of a ghost from his past. A man he had never fully met, yet one who held significance.

Emerson's attention flicked back to Bellamy when he answered with what he was expecting. His fists clenched when he only replied with something as if they deserved to be safe. Keeping them safe from their deaths, they didn't deserve to be alive. Not after what they did. He sensed the slight threat in those words when Bellamy spoke. He was stood away from the cells bars but he was just staring at Bellamy as he paced slowly. There was no way out of this room, if that door was open he could easily escape and finish what he started but that wasn't going to happen.
He moved closer to the bars, he was angry but he kept as calm as he could. " You know it's funny you should say that, " he said with a deep voice as he began to speak. " coming from the people who killed mine. " he said with his anger slightly pouring out along with his words. Once again moving closer slightly as he took one step " You murdered MY people, MY friends, MY family and you stand there protecting yourselves like you deserve to live " He said while raising his voice a little. They were blinded by the fact that they are the ones who wiped out nearly everyone in that mountain and yet they think it's ok to carry on with life and blame him for avenging the people he loved. He was on the wrong side of the bars. he was just angry at the fact he said just those few words. Part of Emerson wanted to be apart of the Mount Weather people now. It was clear he was never going to ever make himself happy even after he had avenged their deaths but he wasn't going to just die easily without showing everyone just exactly how it felt for him to watch EVERYONE die slowly on the spot around him. He stood where he was, eyes staring at Bellamy with fury, he sighed angrily at the frustration he was still here. then paced a little again to let off some steam. After that he calmed down a bit.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Emerson's words hit Bellamy hard, despite the younger male's attempt to keep his emotions guarded. Leveled. The last thing he needed was for Emerson to see just how much he was affecting him. But damn it. He was. Because Bellamy knew he was right; he didn't deserve to live. Not after the culling. Not after killing everyone in Mount Weather. Not after failing his people in Mount Weather by leaving. Not after Lincoln. Not after turning in Pike. Emerson was right; Bellamy didn't deserve to live for all he had done.
He deserved death, Jaha's words -- even though it was a hallucination -- still rung clear in Bellamy's mind. That he didn't deserve the release of death even. So what was left? Breathing, suffering, enduring. "If your people hadn't started killing mine, then none of this would have happened." Cage. Using his own people as a means to free his; killing them. "Your people started this." Not all of them, and Bellamy knew he had to acknowledge that.
"Not a day goes by where I wish I didn't have to do what I did. But you left us with no other choice. It was our people or yours. And if you were in our positions . . . you damn well would have done the same thing." Because it all came down to protecting their own. That of course by no means, made Bellamy feel any pleasure from it. He still saw all the ghosts of those he'd killed. Every night they haunted his dreams. In waking moments they plagued his heart. So it left Bellamy uncertain as to what he deserved more: death, or the torture of living.

He watched as Bellamy started to speak in his defense after Emerson's words. Emerson had his orders, Cage at least had ideal views to finally free everyone from the Mountain. Being there for years without sunlight and surrounded by concrete walls 24/7 was not much of a memory but in fact a sort of nightmare. Emerson would have loved to see his family see the world he saw that day he first stepped outside, even for a few seconds.
" My people were families living their everyday lives " they were innocent people who haven't even seen the worst of the outside or just the outside on its own. Some were just happy as they were to stay put in the Mountain and live the life they had. "Going to school, work and making an effort to improve our lives while trying to survive." His two children went to school having a normal lifestyle without a worry , his brother working to help keep the place running as a society and then Emerson. Looking for any way possible to make all those lives even better. "what are your's? a bunch of people from space with a motive to just ruin everything." Then came the so called Sky people . They were the key to achieving everything so many people have worked towards in that mountain. Freedom. But things didn't work out to plan thanks to Dante, his intentions on just housing the sky people when the answer to one step forward for the future was right in front of him. They did manage to ruin everything just from a flick of a switch they managed to murder everyone who had made their home there since they were born. " you're not the only one who regrets what you did " he began as he started his next sentence with a slight chuckle. " Heck, i wish i killed every last one of you while i had the chance before you even began to scratch Mount Weather. " but no, instead they all were left to make camp outside and bring forward an army to destroy everything. he was still angry of course but he mainly laughed at the fact it would have been that easy to just proceed with the Bone marrow treatment if Dante wasn't blinded by the fact that the cure to the radiation was right there in Mount Weather with them right for the taking but it was too late. These people didn't deserve to live, he wished he had the power to just carry out the orders sooner. Things would have worked in their favor then. The 48 sky people would have been the key to the vaccination while the other sky people outside were no longer existent and an issue for the future just by a launch of a missile to deal with them.
