THIS IS SUCH AN IMPORTANT SCENE!! And pretty sure there were a lot more like it! I hate that Bob didn't get to give more insight into Bellamy's mindset for those who may not have understood it! But in this, he is calling out the Grounders and even Octavia can't defend Indra in this moment!

Oh, man. This would have helped me SO much in 3A. :/
I listened to a podcast with Mike Beach and he talked a lot about how things were edited this season. He talked about several scenes that were cut, or even filmed two ways (one less sympathetic to Pike, and the other showing more of his humanity), and in the editing, the moments that could have made Pike more relatable all got cut. Ugh. They really needed a couple extra episodes this season. They had too much story for the amount of screentime they had to work with.

I TOTALLY agree! I did listen to parts of that podcast and it really frustrated me that they cut all those scenes! Bob has spoken about how a LOT of Bellamy's character devleopment happened off screen! Bob, Ian and Michael would get together and work out the details of their characters and loyalties! Bob has spoken about how him and Ian would sit at length and discuss all the details! He even spoke about scenes with Octavia that had gotten cut -- and I think this deleted scene is one of them!
I personally LOVED Pike! I understood his motivations, his mindset, where he was coming from, etc! But I know that it was difficult for a lot of people to relate to the character! When things are laid out, they were more willing to be accepting of him but its sad how he was SO disliked when there were a LOT of complexities to the man! It also really disappoints me that they killed him off in season 3! At least if he was still around, they could further explore where he was coming from and allow the audience who may not have understood him, to gain further clarity! But we won't even get that now =/
I completely agree that they had too much story for the season! I wish they focused on the less important things, and more on the civil unrest in Arkadia! I think there was a LOT they could have cut from the Polis arc and instead, focused on the Arkers because there was MUCH more going on with them I think!!
