He wanted to survive, so his clothing was accordingly. He did dress to conceal himself as well, like as grounder while in Azgeda territory. His hair was short, due to his increasing lack of hair and again practical reasons.

.:Personality:. Pike is a loyal and clever person. He’s strongly opinionated and thinks very practical. He has a sense of wanting revenge on people, who wronged those he is loyal to, especially children. He knows surviving means he might have to go to extreme lengths in order to survive. He kows survival is not about popularity, but about naked survival and thus he will go wherever life takes him in order to protect those he swore to protect, even if that should kill him or seem cruel.

.:History:. Charles Pikes childhood was uneventful. His mother had clear values, which she taught him. His childhood was as good as It could get. He had friends. He was happy where he was. He was good at school, but he was fascinated with the teachers more than the subjects. One stood out. He liked earth skills. He liked to think that one day he would need to be able to survive on the ground, not knowing that he would indeed need to.
He studied to become a teacher – as limited as those were on the Ark. He enjoyed it very much, though. With great pleasure he taught the bright young minds of young people. He married at one point, but that marriage soon fell apart childless. It was better for them. Another love was denied to him and so the hope and wish for a child so far. He poured his energy into the young hearts. As teacher he was one of the only ones knowing of the 100 being sent to the ground as he was allowed to teach them, or try. He volunteered to go with him, almost begged, but they would not let him. And thus, coming down with farm, he had to protect them. That wasn’t easy with the vicious grounders around. But they survived for the months they were alone until they found the others. One thing after another. Almost everyone he swore to protect died, but Arkadia still trusted him, electing him to become chancellor.
