whatever THE HELL WE WANT Hatrolling. One of the most dangerous activities yet a mandatory one considering the threats that existed out there. Fortunately, they had found guns that leveled the playing field a little, and thanks to Raven, they were able to maximize the number of bullets that could be used. Bellamy never wasted them on hunting though. For that, they had spears and daggers. Still, he carried the rifle slung around hi shoulder, with a spear in his other hand. When faced with a threat of a Grounder, his preferred weapon choice was of course guns. Today, his hunting partner was Sydney, a fellow delinquent among their group.
It was only the two of them, as Bellamy had the others working on building their defenses, while encouraging others to start training. This was meant to be a quick trip, as they had to be back before dark. It wasn't safe out here after that, and he wasnt't going to be stupidly reckless without a good reason. A rustle in the leaves, prompted Bellamy to put his hand on his gun, while gripping his spear in the other . . . prepared for whether it was an animal or grounder. "This way," he whispered to Sydney, as he started to inch closer toward the source of the sound, making sure she didn't stray too far. With Bellamy's decision to remain with the delinquents, he felt a protective instinct toward each and every one of them.

Sydney was excited to be out of camp. She had been cooped up all day and now she was free. She followed Bellamy out of the camp and towards the vast area in front of them. SHe had two guns and a giant knife to defend them both. She liked Bellamy, she got on well with him, but he could be a bit arrogant at times. She planned to fix that at some point in time. But for now, they had a job, and a limited amount of time to get that job done. She shook her head to get her wandering mind back on track. When he whispered to her to follow him, she got her knife ready and got behind him. She stared at the rustling bushes, unsure of what might be in there waiting for them.
She took a step forward and stepped on a twig. It made a snapping sound that seemed to echo in the immense silence surrounding them. She froze and looked at Bellamy. Bad idea. As soon as she took her eyes off the bush, a Panther jumped out and tackled Sydney to the ground. She shouted in pain as her head hit the ground creating a sickening thud sound. However, her instincts kicked in and she wrestled for a bit with the giant cat before taking her knife to its body and stabbing it to death. After the giant creature stopped wriggling she sighed and pushed it off of her, "Well then, that was... exciting." She stood and immediately fell back to the ground and cried out in pain. She looked down at her ankle and saw it was already bruising and swollen, "Damn." was all she said before hissing in pain.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT The snapping of the twig broke the otherwise dead silence, and in the seconds after, a giant beast emerged from the bushes and launched itself at Sydney. Bellamy instantly reacted, shoving the swear at the panther where it would count. Combined with the stab wounds, it didn't take long for the beast to lie there lifeless. On the one hand, their meal was set. But on the other, he heard Sydney cry out in pain and his next set of instincts kicked it. Still ones that compelled him to protect, only now in a different way. Bellamy lowered his pack, spear still embedded in the panther and his gun close by as he crouched down in front of Sydney.
"Sit down," he instructed her, waiting for her to do so though was already gently rolling up her pant leg to see the extent of the damage. The swelling and bruising indicated that she had twisted it, rather than the panther having managed to bite her. He supposed in some ways that was a good thing. A lesser of two evils. They wouldn't have to worry about loss of blood or an open wound getting infected. "Can you walk at all?" He asked, knowing that it would at the very least be with a limp, but he wanted to know the full extent of the pain she was experiencing.

Sydney did as he said and sat down as he examined his leg. At least she had not gotten bit by the damn cat. That would have been really bad. When he asked if she could walk she snorted, "I just tried that remember? It ended with me on the ground if you don't recall." She crossed her arms and stared up at him, her stubbornness coming out in full flare. She put her hands on the ground and tried to get to her feet. As soon as she put pressure on her right ankle, she leaned on Bellamy for support, "It hurts like hell. I might need your help to get back." This would be a dangerous trip since Bellamy would have to help her his senses would be slightly off. She looked at him, her bright blue eyes filled with concern for him and pain for herself

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy suppressed an eye roll at her response. He supposed it was typical of a delinquent with too much attitude. He held more sympathy for Clarke for having to deal with people like that when they were wounded and sick. But right now, he didn't have a choice. He couldn't exactly leave one of his people, so he just ignored her for the most part, focusing on the wound rather than her sarcastic and condescneding response. He watched her attempt to stand, his arm moving around her waist for added support as she spoke of how she would need help getting back to camp.
"No kidding," he responded. There was no way she was getting back on her own, or were they going to be able to get there quickly. "Lean against this for a sec," he told her, directing her to a tree trunk as he helped her move just a couple steps so that she was closer to it. Once it was able to support her he started searching around for a good size stick. Finding an adequate one, with a suitable thickness, he broke off a bit of it so that it wasn't too long. He then proceeded to crouch down in front of her once more, reaching into his bag to rip off a small piece of fabric from the material they would use in case there was acid fog.
He wrapped the stick around her leg, which would limit the amount of pressure placed on her swollen ankle as they moved. The makeshift brace was the best he could do under the circumstnaces until they got back to camp and Clarke could take a better look at it. Once he was done, he closed up his pack and put it over his shoulder, taking whatever additional weight she carried on her person. "Let's go," he encouraged, moving one of her arms to wrap around his neck for added support.
