.:Physical Appearance:.
Thin is the first word that comes to mind when thinking about Carter here. They notice her less the toned body; her short structure and then her features. But let's stick to the basics, her appearance in structure is strongly suggested to take after her father - where he was lean, thin and almost considered a tooth-pick by his fellow friends. However, where her father was thin, her mother was plump; and Carter's own body has begun to express the features of a woman grown. She has slim hips; but they are pronounced enough if one was to look; a simple enough breast size and her muscles can be seen straining when she lifts something that is to heavy. But where she lacks in strength she makes up in speed. For while she is short; a feature she inhabited from her mother, she has gained longer legs; a shorter torso and average arms for a person of her height. Her speed comes from her ability to pace herself as well as the long strides she takes due to her legs. Moving on up; we will noticed she has a keen eye when peering out from behind her own two deep blue-green eyes. One may look upon them every now and again and see they seem to shift with her moods; more green when she is delighted and more blue when her mood as flown south. However; those keen eyes have helped with her survival in this world. She had been sent to the ground with the 100; and had been almost of age to be floated. Spared because of this, she took up to making a make-shift bow once she reached the ground and assisted in hunting with arrows she created - rather poorly - then. Her long, blond hair is usually tied back into a single pony-tail; however on more then one occasion she has worn it down; and allowed it to fall to the middle of her back. .:Height:. 5'3 .:Portrayed by:. Emily Kinney

.:Personality:.
Imagine your first born daughter being a mischievous little brat; whose main goal in life is to make others laugh at other's expenses and you would have had Carter figured out when she was but a wee child. However skills from her childhood have reacted into her adult life. As a child; Carter had to be careful and quick on her feet to escape trouble; something she has been able to do to this day. She's only been caught five times in her life and two of which were in situations where she was out of her element. The one was her own doing and the last was because she had been shot with an arrow. Carter herself has grown into a woman whose eyes are always watching; whose mind is always turning, and her soft voice is always holding a hint of her former mischief. Upon reaching the ground; many thought her to be a caged soul; someone who was frighten easily; and disturbed by the sight of blood; but upon her third day on the ground; with her bracelet removed, they noticed her practicing an age old technique; archery and she wasn't to shabby. She was brought on hunts when she shot down her first bird within the walls of camp; and from that day forth; she has prided herself in being a great scout and tracker. She has of coursed; learned most of her survival instincts from fighting them on the ground - and has taken to doing lessons with people who know what tracks below to whom. All in all; you'll notice her mischievous nature; her quiet and observant patterns and her determined survival instinct that shines above all else. However many will notice she has a soft spot for many of her fellow delinquents and will go out of her way to protect the younger and try to put in a voice of reason to those older. Being nineteen now since the fall to earth; she expects a lot of the younger delinquents to have hopefully been brought back to their parents; however she has taken a motherly role towards a young delinquent named Gavin. The two have grown close; and she parents much like her mother did. Scare tactics and scowling however she has never raised a hand to a younger delinquent nor does she ever intend too. With her motherly nature comes a kindness and a willing to forgive and yet not forget. She has been one of the few who are cautious when sentencing to death or exile; and yet will not speak up if she believes her few to be right and theirs wrong. She is quiet and compassionate and tries to help when she can...but the world is not a nice place and she finds herself getting hurt more times then not. Upon the battle between grounders and delinquents she had, had a rare time of courage that she has seemed to harvest and kept alive. She's willing to offer her service; speak up and protect all those she can. .:Special Skills:.

.:Birthplace:. The Ark .:Family:.
- Ronald O'Connor - Floated.
- Mary-Lou O'Connor - Deceased
- Miscarried Child
.:Occupation:. Delinquent/Nurse-Trainee .:History:.
Ronald was a thin wary man. He had his doubts about space-living since his youngest memories. He believed for so many years that there was no place but earth for mankind. And for years; he believed this. He shut off the world; descended into his own madness... all because his father before him and his mother before him had been grounders; the original kind, and had wanted to return to their homes in which they had left. Ronald's parents died in their fevered dreams one night; and that had been the night Ronald himself had lost his way. Never before had anyone seen a man so upset; that he would drink himself into a stupid state and rave about the earth. He was only calmed by the gentle hand of a woman ten years younger then he; and that was when his madness stopped and his life brighten if only for a little while. He and the young woman, Mary-Lou married a month after their first meeting; and tried for years to bare a child. Mary-Lou lost three before finally they gave up and Ronald began to rant of the earth once more. It had gotten to the point that his drunk stumbles frighten his wife; and upon the eve of his worst scene yet; he was shocked by his wife's bags packed; and her heart heavy. She left him that night; with no news of the unborn child they had created. She had only been given the chance to say goodbye; where he stood within the airlock; terrified. She had gone to him and told him; and watched his face darken and sorrow fill his limp body. Mary-Lou was heartbroken; but as she watched space claim her husband; she vowed to protect their child no matter what. She didn't have much in the terms of funding; she was a teacher by trade; able to handle the young ones and give them history lesson for the earth. She was their basic understandings before they divided and left into their own respectable training groups. She gave birth to her daughter the day that the Ark passed by the moon; shielding it from the sun for only a brief moment. She named her daughter Carter Elizabeth after her late husband's parents. And this is her story.
Carter was what you would call a problem child from day one. She was nothing but sweet and kind to those around you; she would assure you noticed this. However it was in the small ways she defied the Arker's. She would shove her most undesired foods into the vents and run from her mischief with a grin upon her lips. Her favourite little trick was to stick anything sharp under her mother's chair in the little class room and watch as the other students giggled at her mother's yelp of pain. However; this was always dealt with a swift hand to the rear and a threaten of what could come if she did not stop her meddling. She never did and her last warning came with a swift boot to the rear and her mother asking the guards to show her daughter to the Airlock to scare her. It had not been a big thing; shoving a rather rotten piece of fruit into her neighbors vent had caused a commotion. To serve her right; Carter as a nine year old girl; was still unaware of the floating age and had seriously thought her mother would send her into space. After showing the young girl the airlock; she seemed to have sobered up on her mischievous ways. However; time had a way of shaking things up; and as Carter had already started to learn about nursing and healing, she always met a young man by the name of Luke. He was seventeen; handsome and everything Carter as a fourteen year old girl would of wanted for a boyfriend. She followed him like a lost puppy; and when he told her he needed her to do something for him; she didn't even question it. He gave her the instructions; lead her in the right direction and when she returned with the morphine, he paused in his taking the drugs; mouth opening up and shouting out to the fast approaching guards; "I got her! Here she is! She took it!" Carter's face showed the betrayal; her heart shattered; she was limply cuffed and dragged into questioning.
She told no lie; she had taken the morphine; and while she kept Luke out of it; she blamed it on her heart. She was madly in love - or at least false love - and she took the fall for the whole ordeal. She was placed into lockup at fifteen after her hearing; and she could still see her mother shaking her head sadly. Her mother's parting words; "You are your father's daughter, my sweet." Baring no ill towards her mother, Carter spent most of her days staring out of her small space window onto the earth and dreamed of the world her mother used to tell her about. It was no surprise that when they arrived to take her from her cell; the young girl who was turning eighteen in but a few days put up a fight. To her shock and dismay, Luke - the man who had put her in the cell, who had tricked her, calmed her fiery soul. "Cat, please... you'll float if you don't go down there." She didn't give more then a second thought; her heart soared and she allowed them to walk her to the dropship. Her eyes hollowed; but her heart soaring with the sound of possible freedom. Carter would descend from the Ark with 99 other delinquents and would arrive safely; if not rattled. Her first breath of fresh Earth air; was warmed by the passing thought of her father; and that she was finally where he always wanted to be... home. It would be two days from then; when a small group went off to search for food and water on Mount Weather; she woke with a new sense of wonder. She had made it to her eighteenth birthday and had not been shot out into space like her father. "I am a free woman." She would whisper under her breath and when they started to remove the bracelets she stepped forward and offered her arm up with no hesitation and no look of guilt for the Arker's on the top side. "Eighteen and not space garbage; they don't need my feed back." She would reply and soon her wrist was free and her life support line on the Ark dead. It was on this day; she met and took Gavin - a boy of 11 who had been on the drop ship - under her wing; training him as she learned.
She fashioned herself a bow not to long afterwards; using a knife that had been given to them as weapons should they survive the first breath of air. It was by no means pretty; and it shot off to the right by a long shot; but she was able to fashion it for hunts. She was quick; light on her feet and able to use the bow with an ease that many would of thought frightening if they were already not frightening themselves. Her skills would only increase once she; and a hunting party she was with; stumbled upon a bow. It had not been long since the Grounders had made themselves known; and she herself was frighten of their skill. But to find a dying grounder from the fog; clenching a bow - she took it without thought. Offering the dying man and token of her appreciation. A swift death with a knife blade pressed against his throat. With her new bow and arrow; her skills only improved more, and her patience with it allowing her to grow more observant. Where once many would say stood a 'silly love-stuck girl who knew her way around a guard' would now say stood a 'confident young woman who can shoot an arrow into your chest'. She was present during the battle between the grounders and the delinquents however from her spot in the trees; where her own arrows would be shot down - and her bullets should she use the gun - she was shot in the left shoulder and pretended death had taken her while she hung limply from the tree. The blood loss would of killed her; had the Arker's who had fallen only days before; not found her body crumpled and beaten on the ground. She; with her bow still clutched tightly in hand; was brought back to Camp Jaha; and was tended too. She was reunited with Gavin here; and he tended to her while she helped him. He had lost both his parents to the Ark falling; and it felt like she had to take care of him. While her aim was messy at first; she is getting better; and now she wishes nothing more then to assist further in the help for her fellow delinquents and help for her fellow Arker's. She is unaware that her mother has died on the fall down; but no one has the heart to let her know this.
