Their journey was tireding. Desert was hot and they for sure needed more water. "I'm starting to belive that the last normal person in that expidition is Murphy. And that means that I started to be crazy". Sometimes when her legs ached really much, she wonders why she ven agree for participatic in such ullogical thing. Legends and myths, searching adventures... It wasn't completely her style. But Alex later remind herself Thelonious words In City of Light everyone is free. True freedom. It was just what Lightwood wanted, far from eyes of the goverment of Ark. The one problem beside food, water, long walk under intensive desert sun was a girl. Not normal girl. Not from Ark. Possibly the one of "fired" grounder. She completly doesn't trust her.

Her main doubt was Emori knowledge. Miles- Lightwood's dad - always said Knowledge is the most dangerous weapon. Al, even in theese times having proper knowledge, could defeat all the Ark army. That's why she wanted to hack one of engineer computer. That's why she ended on Earth. And that's why she's still alive. Emori knowed where City of Light is placed, but she doesn't give them proper clues, just direction. No we're going towards northern-east.. But Emori asked where is it, just smiled shrugging her shoulders. That made Alex belive, that she get rid of all expedition, excatly in that moment when they won't be needed. That's why Alex was little distanced from the group, in the night exploring sand terrtory, looking for loneliness as always. Murphy joked around that she has obssesion over theese girl If I don't know you, I'd probably think that she's in your type... But nope, you have just persecution mania. Lightwood would be stupid if she won't saw that John is attracted to her. "How he could be so stupid? We don't know anything about her and he act like puppy around her".Thelonious doesn't even want to hear her complains about stranger.

Her suspicious attitude saved her from troubles, after all. In theese night she went exploring territory around them as always, couldn't for long fall asleep. And when she come back, absolute massacre happened. From the sany hill she just watched like Emori took all their supplies, and beat Murphy to the ground. Now they all are going to die. She is going to die. Not thinking much about loyality toward Thelonious, form chancellor, she just get out from her hide. Alex take her gun out her pocket, just to be sure that she's gonna make it, even when her plan doesn't go right.

- Emori! - she shouted, walking few steps nearer - Let me go with you!

Everything had gone according to plan, Emori hadn't expected the group of travellers to stop and listen to her so willingly but they were obviously more trusting than most other wastelanders and the weapons that they carried gave her a clue as to why this was. The guns that they carried and the fact that they only seemed to speak English pointed towards the fact that they were Skaikru, Emori had never seen one of the sky people up close but where they were from didn't exactly make a difference to her, the fact that they were Skaikru only seemed to increase the chances of them carrying tech anyway. They had foolishly believed her sob story about the wastelanders that had murdered her brother and taken her supplies, they'd even offered her a drink of water, yes they were far too trusting of a girl they'd only just met. She'd successfully persuaded them to pull her cart and in exchange for their services she would take them to the city of light. Of course she had no intention of carrying out her side of the bargain.

From then on it was easy to lead them to where Otan was waiting, the moment he appeared on the back of that horse she'd made her move. With a knife against John's throat the Skaikru travellers had no other choice but to put their weapons and supplies into the cart. After she'd knocked her hostage out it was easy to hook the cart up to their horse and prepare to leave, the sky people would probably die without their supplies but that wasn't her problem. Her only goal was to keep herself and her brother alive and to do that they had to scavenge supplies from weary travellers, these people weren't the first and they wouldn't be the last either. Taking Otan's hand, her brother helped her up onto the saddle behind him and they were just about to leave when a voice caught her attention 'Emori! Let me go with you'.

Placing a hand on her brothers shoulder, she looked towards the source and immediately spotted the girl who was calling for her. She hadn't noticed her absence from the group and she immediately cussed herself for not noticing that she was missing. She hadn't even picked up on this girls name and she expected her to take her with them, clearly these sky people weren't as smart as everyone thought them to be. Smirking at the girls request she called back to her "Why do you think we'd be interested in taking you with us?" she eyed the gun that the girl held warily but didn't pay the weapon too much attention, if she wanted to go with them then she would not attempt to kill one of them. Emori wondered if this girl had any worth, what had she to offer them, she certainly wasn't interested in dragging around a girl who would do nothing but weigh them down and slow their progress.
