.:Name:. Aden .:Nick Name:. N/A .:Affiliation:. Grounder .:Age:. 13
| ~ • ~ | Appearance | ~ • ~ |
.:Physical Appearance:. Aden is a scrawny young boy with pale skin and messy sandy blonde hair, his eyes are a deep shade of blue and these traits make him stand out from the other nightbloods who for the most part have dark features. Aden isn't particularly tall, he is shorter than Lexa and a lot of his nightblood 'siblings' but he uses his small size to his advantage as he finds it easier to dodge attacks, the fact that he doesn't actually look particularly threatening is also an advantage as people tend to underestimate him. .:Height:. 5'3 .:Portrayed by:. Cory Gruter-Andrew

.:Personality:. Aden is a polite young boy, he cares a lot for Lexa as she has been an almost motherly figure to him since he first arrived in Polis when he was just a child. He is duty bound to his people and knows that one day the chance is that he will have to step up and take his place as heda, but he has no desire for that day to come soon as it means that Lexa will be dead. He loves each and every one of his fellow nightbloods as if they were each his own sibling and despite the warnings of what he must be prepared to do when his conclave arrives, he cannot help the love he has in his heart for the other children. .:Special Skills:. Aden is a skilled warrior and the most promising Natblida that is training under Lexa. Despite his young age he has developed the skills necessary to kill his enemies in battle during his time in Polis.

.:Birthplace:. A small Trikru vilage .:Family:. He has a mother and a father that he has not seen since he was a small child, he does not know if they are still alive .:Occupation:. Nightblood .:History:. Aden was born into a small Trikru village to a couple of warriors and was their first child to survive past infancy. He was a scrawny baby and for a long while his parents doubted that he would survive, however the fates smiled upon him and he survived the first few years of his life. He was a shy child who didn't really have the confidence to interact with the other children, they were so much bigger and stronger than himself. His parents were resigned to the fact that their boy would never be a warrior, he wasn't brave or strong enough to stand a chance in a fight and so they thought that he would become a scout or maybe just a simple farmer. Farming was honest work and provided the villages with food, there no shame in being a farmer. However, these plans changed when Aden was seven years old, before this time the boy had not had a reason to bleed. Like all children he'd skinned his knees growing up and bruised whenever he fell over but there was never any reason to believe that he was different, there was never enough blood to arouse suspicion. That is until the day that his father finally snapped at him to go make some friends, the task of making friends seemed daunting for the child as he was only six years old and all of the other children had already bonded whilst he had been keeping to himself. It's safe to say that the children in his village didn't exactly warm to him, they thought that he was a coward for refusing to join them in a 'friendly' game that just so happened to include a lot of punching and kicking. He got to play in the end, but not the way that he had been hoping for, one bloody nose later and he ran crying to his mother who seemed more interested in the colour of his blood than she was of the pain her son was in. She sent for his father and when the man returned he clapped his son on the back and started speaking about how proud he was of him, despite the boy having no clue as to what all of the commotion was about.
His parents gave him a brief explanation on what having black blood meant to their people and apparently he had been 'chosen' and he had to leave for Polis immediately so that he could train to be a warrior that would one day lead his people. Needless to say the child had no desire to leave his home and his parents and so when the Flamekeeper sent warriors to collect him, he clung to his mother as if his life depended upon it, until she offered him some gentle words of reassurance, it was his duty to go to Polis, doing so would make his parents extremely proud of him and none of the children would ever laugh or make fun of him again. So he went quietly, riding upon the back of a horse whilst clinging desperately to the warrior that was escorting him to Polis, the whole way there silent tears trailed down his cheeks as he thought about the life he was leaving behind. His confidence didn't grow for the first few weeks that he was in Polis, although the commander showed him nothing but kindness, he liked her, she always reassured him whenever the Flamekeeper, Titus, would snap at him or call him weak. She told him that he wasn't weak and that one day he'd be a great warrior that would one day lead his people with the compassion and understanding that she'd shown him.
