.:Physical Appearance:. Penny is tall for her age; the tallest in her class as a matter of fact. Well, the tallest girl anyway. Her skin is a soft olive shade and her hair is long and curly. She barely ever lets anyone cut it, since the last time she did her mother gave her really crooked bangs and everybody made fun of her. So, it falls to her lower back and is normally in two tight braids-- especially on the ground. Though on the ark, fashion was an interest of hers being locked up and sent to the ground put a bit of a damper on that interest. Still she tries to make sure that she's always presentable, just like her parents taught her.

.:Personality:. Penny has always had a happy nature about her, but she is quite fearful. It's unfair to judge her personality before imprisonment because it changed her so much. Being in lock up made her very fearful, very shy, and not at all outgoing as she once was. She does try to be friendly and even at times works to lift the spirits of others but in truth she's more likely to hide out in the Dropship than she is to go out and mingle. The bigger kids fight too much for her to feel safe, and the grounders scare her to death. She used to be much more outgoing, but after being sent to the ground her playful behaviour was buried with the dead.

.:Special Skills:. Penelope is very charismatic and at times, she can be very funny. She can make a joke out of anything and cut tension as if it were butter. Not hard butter obviously, but you get the point. When she is comfortable, she can be a riot and very punny. At least she thinks so.

.:Family:. Penelope's father worked in medical bay and her mother was a school teacher. Though they have both since died in the fall, Penelope is very much like them. Her father always had a joke up his sleeve and her mother would always engage it. They raised Penny to be outgoing and kind.

.:History:. Penny was lucky to be born into a middle class family. Her childhood was perfect; at least as perfect as any child's life on the Ark could be. Even when their living situations were dire her parents always managed to take care of them. That was why it was such a shock when Penelope broke the law. Nobody expected such a friendly girl to end up in prison, but there was nothing sinister about the charge. Penny took a joke too far with a friend of the family... She was trying to impress her classmates by pranking one of the guards. She wrongly assumed that because this guard was friends with her father, that he wouldn't take it too seriously. Though, using factory grade glue on the chair he rested on to eat his lunch may have been a bad idea. Looking back she could have used classroom glue-- but when he stood up from the metal bolted chair his legs were injured. So, a prank gone wrong when she was nine years old got her locked up until her eighteenth birthday. Half her life away.

Since she wasn't in solitary she did make some friends during her time there. It was rough, since they were the bottom of the food chain, but she still managed to keep an optimistic point of view. At least until the guards came and snapped that damn wristband around her. They herded them all into the dropship like cattle, and all Penny could think of was that she was supposed to have a visit with her parents the day after... Being sent to the ground was always a death sentence. They had no way of knowing it was survivable. Even though it was, the delinquents were hostile. Penny wasn't good at standing up for herself. She never had to-- but she gave her wristband up for food and tried to stay out of people's way. She did make friends though... slowly. In the end that was what killed her.

During the attack on their camp, she saw that one of her friends Georgina was not in the dropship. They were supposed to stay in the dropship, and Penny wanted to find her... before the attack started. She'd been too close to the combat; an easy kill with a quick swing of a blade. Perhaps in the end, it's good that she died quickly- and didn't have to suffer the trials that came after the brutal attack on the delinquents.
