whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy was in a panic. Octavia had been arrested since her return for she was deemed as a traitor. He knew that the others -- Hannah, and Pike's close followers -- blamed her for the deaths they faced at the village. Bellamy didn't. Because he knew his sister. He knew what she was trying to do, but he also knew that trusting the Grounders was always a mistake. With her locked up, at least she would be safe. At least she would be somewhere they could see her rather than running around out there, trying to stop a war. It was too dangerous for her, and Bellamy feared what Pike would do if she got caught in the crossfires. But this was not why Bellamy was in a state of panic.
He had found out that Hannah and the others had released Octavia to the Grounders. The Arkers were subject to a kill order if they crossed their jurisdication and tried to surpass the blockade. But they had thrown her out and . . . well, she was an Arker. Probably to the Grounders. This was what terrified Bellamy, is that they wouldn't bother to stop and ask questions. They would just kill her on sight. He didn't know what to do. Going to Pike would be no good, but for Bellamy . . . this was the last straw. Anyone who did anything against Octavia was subject to her sibling's anger and wrath. Right now, it was directed to both the Arkers and Grounders.
There was only one person who he could go to now, and it was what prompted him to barge into Kane's quarters, not bothering to knock or give warning to his presence. "They let out Octavia," he immediately stated when he at least had enough sense to see that Kane was alone. "We need to go after her." It wasn't a question of if they did, it was a question of . . . they needed to leave, now. And Bellamy needed Kane to go with him. Or at least help him get out of here. Because though not proven, Bellamy knew that Kane had to have been the one to help Octavia get out to bring Clarke. He knew a way out of this place and Bellamy needed to know what that was so that he could avoid detection through the main gates.

Marcus was trying to put together a second radio so they could spy on Pike. He didn't know anything about this, but he was a fast learner and was trying to involve as few people as he could. He had supporters, but he didn't want anyone else getting caught red handed. If someone was going to take the hit for this, then it was going to be him. Beside, the worse cas--The door flew opened and Marcus jerked up to a stand, and looked at Bellamy . . . Bellamy? Did he know? He moved as if to move the radio, but then ended up trying to causally put his hand over it as if that might hide it. Knowing he was drawing more attention to it, Marcus wondered if he should drop a coat over it, but Bellamy's quick words brought his radio thoughts to an end. "They let out Octavia," That was good! She was a good asset.
Why they would do it was the question! He walking around had to make a lot of people unsettled. "We need to go after her." Go after her? Marcus moved from around the table, his panic over the radio had stalled his reaction but now he saw the panic and fear on Bellamy. They let her out? Of camp? "Slow down," Marcus told him reaching a hand out to his shoulder to steady and slow him. "They let her out, or sent her out?" Because if they let her out, she planned to go out; sending her was another thing.
Octavia was a strong girl, and Marcus had seen her go from training to finishing her training. He knew she was a fighter, and adapted quickly. He also knew she knew how to get in and out of camp without using the door. If she was sent out, and she wanted in, she could just walk right in. Bellamy might not know that but Marcus couldn't give up his exit without knowing for sure that Bellamy wouldn't turn it over to Pike. "Start from the beginning." Or the beginning of what he didn't know at least.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy was too panicked to even realize what Kane was doing. He knew the man was against Pike, which was what brought him here. He knew that he had helped Octavia, maybe even smuggle Clarke inside . . . but at the very least helped Octavia to get out. Which was why he needed him. Breaking those laws didn't matter right now, because Bellamy needed Kane's help. The conflict between them was strong, but at the end of the day . . . there was still a level of trust he had for Kane that disallowed him to offer any evidence against him to the Chancellor.
And that trust was what made him speak freely about the current situation, and his irrational plan to go after her. He felt Kane's strong, supportive hand on Bellamy's shoulder, but it would take more than that to keep him level headed. When the safety and security of his sister was at stake . . . it was nearly impossible to think clearly. "They forced her out," Bellamy answered, turning his head as he stepped away from Kane's hold, his hand going to cup his face in exasperation as he attempted to keep some semblance of composure. Unsuccessfully. "They gave her to the Grounders, knowing there's a kill order on our people." Octavia was clearly not accepted by them, otherwise she wouldn't have entered Arkadia once more.
She could easily be seen as an enemy, especially when there were so many clans and warriors out there, many of which may not even recognize her. If Indra saw her, that was one thing. But he wasn't naive to rely on the small handful of people who may actually help it. It was outweighed by the number of people who would fulfill the kill order and murder on sight. "We need to bring her back. It's not safe out there for her." It was impossible to keep the emotion from his voice, his energy spent in the fear rather than the attempt to stay stoic. "I need to bring her back," he breathed, words burdened with fear, guilt, and the responsibility that was bestowed and thrust upon him for his sister the day she was born.

"They forced her out," Forced. They did it to kill her then, not to free her. Marcus had tried to steady Bellamy but he pulled away, walking away from him. He knew how much Bellamy loved his sister, and how far he was willing to go for her. He had shot a chancellor, stow aboard a ship bound to a planet that he didn't know was going to hold life. The fact that they thought he would be fine with them kicking her out once again was very telling of their foolishness. Clearly Pike was idiots following him.
"They gave her to the Grounders, knowing there's a kill order on our people." Marcus rested one hand on his hip and the other came up to his mouth as he thought about how best to help the girl, and not get any one killed. Meanwhile Bellamy continued trying to convince him to help, even though Marcus was already ready to jump in and help. "We need to bring her back. It's not safe out there for her." It wasn't safe out there, but for Bellamy more then his sister. She had friends, he had the families of 300 warriors. "I need to bring her back," Marcus' drug his hand over his face and tugged at the skin once before dropping his hand to his hips and staring at Bellamy.
"This is not going to be easy for you to hear, but you can't go out there after her." Marcus told him, making sure to be ready to block the door if he barged out. "Octavia has had practice sneaking in and out of camp for weeks before this. If she wanted back in she could get in. . . . . there are ways." Once he would not be speaking of. "You walk out there, however, and you are walking into an army made of friends and families of the 300 warriors that you helped killed."
"I can check the ways I know in and out of here and see if she is hiding there, and if so then we can keep her safe there---but you can't hide a girl forever." Bellamy would know that. "Even if you do go out there, son, and get her . . . . what then? You can't bring her back here."
