whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy wasn't sure how long he had been out for, but eventually, he slowly came to. He was lying on the floor and it took him only a few seconds to quickly recollect recent events that had brought him there. Clarke. Octavia. He felt the sting of where he'd been shock lashed -- as it was hardly his first time. His third in fact. One would think he would grow used to it. But this time, it had been enough to render him unconscious. And thus, allow Clarke to escape. If it came out that Octavia helped her . . . well, it was getting increasingly difficult to protect his sister. People may even already know it was her. How she managed to get in, Bellamy had no idea. But he was determined to find out.
The conversation with her had been intense and yet, he didn't want to dwell on it right now. Instead, he scrambled to his feet, moving to the other guard who Octavia had attacked. The man groaned, and Bellamy helped him to his feet. "Get to medical if you need to," he informed him, should he needed to be checked out by Abby or Jackson. Bellamy had to speak to Pike and inform him of Clarke's escape. He made his way straight to the Chancellor's quarters, knocking on the door before entering. "Sir, I need to speak to you. It's about Clarke Griffin." He had meant to bring her to Pike for her own protection . . . but she had slipped away. Now he would have to face the consequences of that.

War. That's what they were brink of. But people in Arkadia didn't understand. There were only few but they believed an alliance with the grounders. The grounders were only there to destroy there home, to destroy and kill the people of Arkadia. The hatred only grew on the grounders when they killed his people in Mount Weather. Everything he was doing he was doing for them, and because he believed he was doing what was right. Pike made his way to his quarters with two guard following behind him. He walked inside and stood talking to the guards. That was until Bellamy walked in. To Pike he looked like he was in slight pain but it didn't look so extreme. Pike turned to him when he stated he needed to talk to him about Clarke. He had Pike's full attention. "Clarke Griffin" She had abandoned her people, so now he saw her as the enemy "What happened?" He obviously knew something happened, or else her name wouldn't be mentioned in Arkadia

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy was relieved for the privacy with the Chancellor. He knew that he had to report this to him, as the other guard held the knowledge of Clarke's presence here as well. It was better Pike heard it from Bellamy rather than anyone else. "She was here Sir," Bellamy began to explain, remaining a stoic appearance an demanour despite the emotions that the topic of her often caused him to feel. Especially after their intense confrontation.
"I don't know how she got in," he further added. It sure as hell wasn't through the main gate, and he wasn't about to throw his sister under the bus either. However Octavia opposed him, Bellamy would not incriminate her. She was being too reckless though. It was only a matter of time before she got caught, and he wouldn't be able to protect her. But apparently, she didn't give a damn about that. She didn't understand that her actions had consequences that were beyond Bellamy's control.
"But she got out the same way." A fair deduction, as Bellamy figured there weren't too many ways to sneak in and out of Arkadia. "She informed me that the Commander will be gathering an army from the 12 clans." As retaliation. "We need to be fully prepared." It had only taken 10 of them to wipe out an army of 300. The Grounders would be idiots not to be cautious of the Arkers so Bellamy knew this was far from a lost battle.

Pike's eyes moved to the door making sure it was closed. His eyes shot back to him when he confessed Clarke was there. She hadn't been there for a long time. Pike didn't like those words, she was now associated with the grounders. Which made things way worse. His skin boiled when Bellamy informed him that he didn't know how she got in "What do you mean you don't know how she got in or how she got out?" His voice was stern "How is it that no one saw her? We have guards at almost all around the area" But he had an idea, someone must've helped her. There was a traitor in their camp, in his camp. He rested his hands on the table as Bellamy informed him about the commander gathering the 12 clans. Damn it. This is what he didn't want. All he wanted to do was save his people, at any cost. And if that means being at war with the grounders, mother do be it "If the grounders are coming here we have to lead them away. We have children here, women, and we can't put them in danger. We need to go for them before they come for us" Pike inhaled and exhaled before he looked up at Bellamy "But first I want this traitor to be found, someone helped Clarke get in here. If my guesses are correct it might be one of the delinquents, you know all of them. Find whoever helped her" Pike walked to the door and opened it before he walked out and Bellamy was behind him. He began to walk down the hall with Bellamy along side him "Once you find them you bring them to me immediately, they need to pay the price for helping someone who associated with the grounders"

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy felt increasingly uneasy about Pike's words. Because, Bellamy knew who the traitor was. It was his own sister. And Bellamy was fairly certain Kane was somehow involved in this too. But . . . he showed no sign of having this awareness. Years of hiding an illegal second child allowed him the ability to appear stoic, expressionless. Composed. He heavily relied on those abilities and skills now in the presence of the Chancellor. He was lying to him . . . whether it was a blatant lie or a lie by omission. At least he could speak truth on his lack of knowledge as to how Clarke physically got in to Arkadia. "There must be a secret passage they used. I'll find it though, Sir." He had to. It made them vulnerable, and who's to say that the Grounders wouldn't discover this same route inside Arkadia.
If they did . . . then the Arkers would be slaughtered without question. And as Pike had said, they had women and children in here that they needed to protect. Taking the fight to them would be the only way. Ever since landing on the ground, they had to defend themselves against the Grounders. Now, it was time to fight on their own terms. He followed Pike outside, moving alongside him. "I'll take care of this investigation," he began to tell him, fully aware that it was better Bellamy look into it than anyone else. He also didn't want to linger on the topic . . . fearful of any tell that would reveal his sister as the one who was the traitor. And yet, he still had an extremley important question. "Pay the price, Sir?" He asked, forcing his voice to stay leveled. "What exactly do you plan on doing to them? They are still our own people." There was something in Pike's words that left Bellamy unsettled. Surely . . . he wouldn't kill their own.

Pike nodded as Bellamy informed him he was going to find the traitor. It wouldn't be hard to find out who helped Clarke. Starting by keeping an eye on the people who knew her. Which was all the delinquents. But Pike had this twist in his stomach, he knew somehow Kane was involved. He was Pike's friend, but as far as Pike was concerned Kane had different ideas on how to run the camp. They both walked outside as he made his way to keep watch along the fence. Figure out any activity that could be happening. But he stopped when Bellamy asked a question that made him swallow hard. What exactly was he going to do once they found the person who assisted Clarke. Bellamy was right, they are still his people. He took a look at the ground before looking back up at him "Your right. They are still our own people. But what makes you think whoever helped Clarke won't do it again? And next time bring grounders inside" Pike's voice was strong, and almost stern "We have to set an example. By punishment, not death. But if they don't cooperate. If they don't confess" Pike didn't want to say the next set of words. He didn't want to kill is own people. He wanted to protect them, no matter what was the cost "It may have to come to that"

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Just as Pike conceded to Bellamy's point . . . Bellamy had to concede to Pike's. He was right. Those who helped Clarke, would surely do so again. They could get people in and out without detection. It was dangerous. And well, knowing Octavia, this wouldn't be the only time she used that damn thing. She was gone for now, but she could be back. However they got in and out, left Arkadia vulnerable. "You're right, Sir," Bellamy said, unable to deny the logic of his words.
"I'll find out how they got in and out and make sure it doesn't happen again. If we can at least put an end to that, it'll eliminate the possibility of them helping people get in and out." And thus, instead of punishing the people, they could just put a stop to it and hopefully, not have to continue the investigation . . . though Bellamy knew it was far from forgotten. He could only warn Octavia and Kane so many times before they were caught. Before they got themselves found out.
And then . . . even Bellamy wouldn't be able to save them. The thought of them being put to death, sickened Bellamy . . . yet he could tell that Pike didn't want that either. He was just following the Exodus Charter. He wasn't a murderer. After all, he could have just killed all those grounders from medical but instead, locked them up. "Let's make sure it doesn't then," Bellamy told him with a bit of a nod, determined to protect his people, even from themselves. "Sir, the queen of the Ice Nation is dead," he began to tell him. It was hardly in the name of their own justice -- otherwise she would have been given to the Arkers. But Bellamy needed to inform Pike of everything that was said.
