This was a nightmare and a blessing at the same time. The nightmare were her nerves. Bellamy loved his sister and she wanted to leave a good impression on Octavia. They had met before, but never under those circumstances, never officially as her being her brothers girlfriend and talking as two people important to the same man. She needed to make an impression here, because she was the one that was chosen by him, not related by blood. And Octavias opinion mattered to him. She knew that on the Ark already, when he still had to worry for her life. And given what he told her, Gena was taking care of the food for them. They didn’t have much yet, here, but enough to make some decent dishes. Gena had decided on making roast with vegetable and a spiced vegetable sauce to top it off. And of course her specialty: Drinks: Berry with a tiny bit of spice.
In truth she had spent almost three hours on the roast already, slowly cooking it to allow it to stay nice and tasty. It should be worth the effort and hopefully it would be impossible to see the effort. The brunette was just setting the table she designated for them, when she heard the door and the beeping of her timer. Time to get the roast. “Hey guys. You have perfect timing here. Food is just about finished.” At least the main course was. She had an idea for a fast ice cream, should they need more food after. She didn’t know if Octavia was outside of the walls today and therefore hungry. Gena was prepared for those eventualities. Maybe it was just slightly over the top. But she was nervous.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy did not fail to recognize the significane of this dinner. On the surface, he could make it appear as casual as anything. However, deep down, it was so much more than that. He had never expected nor planned to be in a romantic relationship with anyone. On the Ark, it had been too risky. Being with someone could have compromised Octavia -- and thus his mother's -- safety. He was completely devoted to his family, unable to accept anyone else into it. When they had come to the ground, being in a relationship was the last thing in his mind. That protectiveness he'd felt toward his sister, was channeled into the rest of the delinquents. So there had been no time or ability to be with someone. But after Mount Weather . . . that had changed. He had finally embraced that kind of companionship, and he of course didn't regret it.
How could he? Gena was wonderful to say the least. He'd met her on the Ark after losing his mother and following Octavia's arrest. She had been a figure of support for him, which hadn't changed down here for it was because of her, and O, . . . that he had survived the aftermath of the Mount Weather Massacre. And now, he was bringing her together with the other woman that Bellamy loved. The one who had for the longest time, been the center of his universe: Octavia. Both women held an importance to him, in different ways. And tonight, he wanted to bring that together. He was not under any false illusion that the two would become the best of friends . . . but it was important for them to at least meet under such circumstances. Since according to what was said, Octavia and Gena had already previously met.
He was walking with Octavia to the Hanger, and upon arrival, the smell struck his senses and caused him to smile at the woman who had created the source of it. Moving toward her to greet her, Bellamy leaned forward to lightly kiss her temple as he loooked at everything that was set up. "Smells and looks amazing," he complimented truthfully, before taking a few steps away from her to stand between Octavia and Gena. She had put so much into this, and it truly meant a lot. Just like it meant a lot to him that Octavia was here, willing to meet Gena for he knew she was struggling to fit into Arkadia. And he knew that she was here . . . because of him. He wanted Octavia to be happy considering what she had given up for him, so he would do everything within his capabilities to ensure that. "You look like you have everything under control, but anything I can do to help?" He offered.
