.:Nick Name:. Meda
.:Affiliation:. Nomad
.:Age:. Twenty-Four

.:Physical Appearance:. Andromeda is beautiful- almost otherworldly with her pale skin and sun bleached hair. Her eyes are a sharp blue, framed by thick lashes. She has an almost fragile look to her that can be very deceiving, and because she lives in Polis and not outside the city she rarely dresses in scavenged armor and war paint. Instead, she wears quality dresses that were once made especially for her. All of this gives her a regal aura, whether or not that appearance is legitimate, it commands respect. Her unique appearance has granted her plenty of attention during her life- but not all is perfect. Her two brothers before her were heavily mutated and sent away at birth. She hides the mutations she was born with. Behind her hair, her spine is misshapen and breaks off into two bones. One curls outwards, leaving a jagged lump under her skin, while her teeth grew in two sets before falling out as she aged. The last mutation thankfully is easy to hide. Her right ear is misshapen and branches off into two near the top. All of these differences have been hidden over the years by cloth and hair, even as a child.

.:Personality:. :. Initially soft spoken and shy, you would be surprised to find that Andromeda is as fierce as a any Sankru warrior. She was trained to fight, and has a calculated view of the world around her. Though she is now 'neutral' she can be rather scrappy when her reputation is on the line. If she is threatened in any way shape or form, you'd better believe the girl will defend herself. Though young, she has been through more than most elders in her years, and you can see that in the way she carries herself. Nothing can hurt you when you have nothing to lose; fall down, get back up. This is how she sees the world and the people around her. Weakness doesn't deserve her respect. She is strong-- and many people forget that. Andromeda is capable of harshness, and will never allow anyone to treat her as less than what she is.
.:Special Skills:. Andromeda was raised as a warrior, but instead became the bodyguard of her Chief when she was fifteen years old. Some would say that is young, but in her world there was no such thing as too young. This has given her various skills. Subtly was one of those skills. Instead of being a blatant and armored guard, Andromeda posed as a handmaiden to her Chief. She was courtious, quiet, and blended into the sandstone walls until her Chief was threatened. Her weapon of choice was always a dagger. Fast; precise and still useful to this day.

.:Birthplace:. The Dead Zone
.:Family:. Andromeda has no living siblings. Every sibling that her parents produced was heavily mutated and killed-- as was their way. Andromeda should have been killed as well, but has managed to keep her mutations a secret. Her mother still lives, but is an outcast somewhere in the dead zone.
.:Occupation:. Innkeeper
.:History:. Born to the Sankru, Andromeda was a miracle. At first it seemed as though she was the first child her parents birthed that was not grotesquely mutilated. The desert radiation did little for genetics, but pale as she was at birth Andromeda seemed as though she was normal. As she grew, changes occurred that were certainly not normal-- but still, she learned to hide and manage it. Nobody thought to question her appearance. Her mother was fair as was her father, but Andromeda was as pale as ice in the sand. This never stopped her from proving that one can be beautiful and tough. She trained as a warrior until she was in her mid teen years and her Chief Leda used her as a bodyguard while traveling in Polis.
She posed as a lowly handmaiden to keep close to her Chief, and eventually something changed. She fell for the woman she followed around and they had... a relationship of sorts. It was strange being wanted by somebody so powerful, and for years Andromeda and Leda were inseparable. Even after discovering Andromeda's deformities, she was still admired by the woman. At least, that was until she was killed during a fight with nomadic rebels in the dead zone. Andromeda was not there when it happened. Leda had her stay in Polis during that time... and the Chief that followed her was not one that Andromeda wished to follow.
Andromeda did not need to run. She didn't need to find a way to survive in the dead zone because she had already found a lifestyle in Polis. Since leaving the Sankru, she has made a life for herself in the neutral city as a villager-- an innkeeper. She sees men and women of all kinds come and go, and protects the inn as though it were her own corner of the world. Without Leda, she felt lost... Some would say that she gave up-- since she stopped her fight. It was dishonorable, but Andromeda has started over. Instead of dwelling on the past, she has chosen to move forward.
