THE HELL WE WANT
Bellamy was nervous, but he made no show of it. It wasn't so much the fact that he had to tell the father of the woman he had gotten pregnant. It was the fact that he had to tell Marcus Kane, and with that . . . his family was put at risk. The Blakes had known just how important it was to blend in. Any special attention paid to them could pose a risk to Octavia. And now, Bellamy had knocked up the daughter of the Vice Chancellor. So much for staying clear of the authority figures on the Ark. Making his way to Kane's office, Bellamy took a deep breath, remaining composed.
He knew the man would be mad. Hell, it was his daughter after all. And Bellamy hadn't offered Lilly any sort of romantic commitment between them. That said, he was completely commited to the child. Their unborn baby. He only hoped that her parents not demand it be terminated and thus, reject them the permit for one. Bellamy told the guard outside that he wished to speak to Kane. He only had a to wait a few moments, apparently coming at a good time. He'd offered to be the one to tell Marcus, as he was no coward and was unafraid of owning up his actions. He only hoped it would not be at the expense of his sister and mother. Stepping inside Kane's office,
Bellamy took the liberty of closing the door behind them. "Sir," he greeted with a bit of a nod. Bellamy had recently finished cadets as was now officially among the guard. Kane might recognize him, but Bellamy's interactions with the man were minimal; practically non existant . . . until now. "My name is Guardsman Bellamy Blake." It was always best to start with his name, should he be unfamiliar. "And I'm here to speak about your daughter." Bellamy was not one to beat around the bush, and he was fairly certain Marcus didn't have the time for it. But he would start with that, and let it sit before continuing on.
