Verno is a realitively young Grounder, at the age of 21 years old he stands at roughly 6'0" (180cm) tall, he is of athletic build. Verno has dark brown short hair, tanned skin and blue eyes. He has a short clean beard and mustache. He generally wears dark clothes though he isn't specific on what he wears and it may change. Verno does not have any known tattoos or piercings.

Verno is a smart capable young grounder though set on his ways. He is relatively friendly and only protective when need to be. He is curious and clever though not as clever as the older grounders.He is generally good at holding a conversation though can become distracted really easily. Although he is good at waiting he tends not to enjoy it as it is "boring" and he simply "doesn't see the point in it". He sometimes has a very competitive nature and sometimes needs to be reminded that not everything is a competition.  Do to being not the most well known he is often awkward at making new friends though always eager to.

Verno is excellent at setting snags and traps for small and medium game. He is an average archer though no where close to the best of the clan though 7 out of 10 times he could likely hit his target if not dead on pretty close to. Verno knows how to use a dagger when attacking animals but otherwise does not know much about fighting as a warrior except from what he has seen his brother and father do. He is smart and can learn quick however do to his stubbornness he is set on what he is doing. Do to his brother and father both being warriors he knows a decent amount of English and can hold a short conversation in it however he much rather prefers speaking in the native tongue. He is a decent runner although he is better at hiding. He definitely couldn't outrun the faster grounders though he would try for the fun of it.

Verno was born the youngest of two kids to his young parents. His older brother Klanus being a year older and 2 months then himself. Klanus and Verno never saw truly eye to eye and although having been born short times apart from one another they were never truly close to one another though he could remember a few fond memories with his brother. When he was 4 years old the village was raided and his mother passed away do to wounds his father thus tending to both of the young boys. Do to this there was some rivalry between the two to follow their father's footsteps though Verno would not do so. His father was a warrior and his mother during life had tried to be a second though she was never that lucky, that was her fate but she had refused to acknowledge that or let it stop her from pursuing what she had wanted. When father was not home the boys would be watched by different members of the clan until both of them were old enough to take care of themselves.

At the age of 7 years old Verno had snuck out early in the morning for a walk when he'd almost got mauled by a wild cat. Had it not been the help of a clan member he could have well died as he did not have any experience. The wild cat was brought back, the meat dried and stored for the winter neither him or the clan member who had helped him bore any scars from the possible mauling. Verno often enjoyed walking and observing his surroundings with his father or climbing trees and trying to see as far as he could and imagine what it would be to finally be able to venture and be a grown member of the clan.

As he grew older his father noticed an interest and ability to pick out edible plants, distinctively tell poisonous ones and eventually even ones that had healing properties. It was clear to him that his son would one day be a hunter/gatherer and not a warrior. Although at first he had insisted on becoming a warrior he soon lost interest in competing with his brother who surely would soon become one. His brother and him took oppposite paths though similar in some ways. Verno took to trapping small animals more then hunting as he enjoyed waking up to the animals being there as appose to waiting with bow and arrow though good at it he simply liked the surprise of game caught in traps waiting for him. Of course his traps were not always good or a larger predator would snag the small animals he caught via his snag but this never stopped him.

When Venro heard of the Skai people he had become quite interested and curious wanting to know more of the people who had fallen from the sky he occasional would sneak off with the other kids his age to see or venture just a little further with his snags to see if one would cross his paths. Sadly he had only seen them a few times but eventually they came to the village where he had seen them fully. He saw them as odd and clearly out of place but was also wanting to learn more and perhaps befriend one or two.
