Following a path through the woods, Addi took mental notes of every turn she made, every odd tree she passed. She enjoyed being out here, all alone. The seclusion of the forest was a peaceful thing to her, it was comforting. And at the same time it was almost a mockery to her.
It mocked her very existence.
For her nothing came easily, always doubting her own choices, every move she made. Her choice years ago to become a great warrior of the trikru clan was a hard one indeed, her people didn't believe that she had the ability nor the skill. However she proved them wrong as she struggled to learn the ways of war.
This is why she chose to be alone, because at least then she didn't have to impress anyone but herself.
Hearing a stream in the distance she kneeled down listening for the direction in which the sound of flowing water was coming. Standing up she continued forward along the path, it seemed straight ahead though she knew not if anyone else lurked about, but she was awfully thirsty. Grabbing her bow she readied herself, just in case. She knew of the sky people had even fought against them in the past. And even though it seemed her people were forging a peace with them, one couldn't be to careful. Especially if there was anything or anyone more dangerous lurking about.
Once she was at the edge of the river she readied her bow with an arrow as she pulled in taunt, scanning the area ahead of her. But all she saw was a spooked deer running from her, lucky as it was she wasn't out here to hunt.
