Kinos was sprinting. And he meant it. Sprinting for his life. Why?
He heard gunshots. They were on grounder land, and that meant one of two things: One, Arkers. The other? Mountain Men. However, the Mountain Men had no reason to be here.
He wasn't running from anything. He was running to. Knife in hand, a blade of five inches in depth and serrated. At the end, a little hook. A hook that after plunging it into a victim, it would take out any hooked organs with it. He was looking to kill.
Was he a warrior? Absolutely not. Why did he run for them? Because this was their home. They were supposed to be on... non-aggressive terms. Aggressive? Sure. But did that mean killing? He did not know.
Sprinting through the crevices, craters, forestry - he was getting closer. He could hear yelling... and then more gunshots. All of that jazz. He came to a jog - getting back his breath as he began scoping out what the problem seemed to be. They had superior weapons... Kinos knew this.
His thoughts briefly thought of Thalia and their earlier meeting, and then Nicolette and their leader a little further behind than that. It had been a while since he had seen Thalia..
Anyway.
He began growing to a slow prowl as he skimmed around trees to gain a vantage point. 'Please be hunting.' Kinos thought to himself, adrenaline running through his system and his heart beating as he began to get closer.
I hope this is adequate for a post Annika Burnam, hope it's to your liking! - Kinos

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved TAG: @king. NOTES: Hope this is good! Her hunting trip had gone incredibly wrong. But you'd have to understand exactly what happened first. She had decided that it would be a great time to hunt seeing as it was sunny with only a few clouds out. It was warm, so most of the animals will be out and about....hopefully that was. She tracked a deer to a little stream and just as she went to pull the trigger, an arrow whizzed right by her face, nailing the deer in the chest. Immediately she had turned around only to become face to face with a grounder. The only thing she noticed before she pulled the trigger was that it had a lot of face paint on.
The ringing made her dizzy for a moment until she saw more shapes coming out of the woods. Some were in trees, others on food. And every single one of them looked angry. She looked down at her feet to find a grounder woman laying there in a puddle of her own blood and she looked up at the others with wide eyes. They were looking from her to the grounder woman and back to her. Then they all freaked out as if they were one mind and came rushing after her.
Of course she started to run.
There were roots and other things that decided they wanted to help the grounders rather than help her. Figures. If she hadn't been crashing through the forest like a grizzly, she would have heard, no wait seen, the figure. But she didn't. At least, not until she was right in front of him.

Kinos was going to be going about it quietly. Except fate didn't like that sort of approach and would decide to throw him into something far harsher.
She came out at him, his open and outstretched hand catching her and twisting her around so that she would be facing the same way as him. While she had been caught off guard: He was surprised... but largely reacting by instinct. His one free hand came up to hold her - the other with a blade a foot of so away from her throat.
The reason he hadn't done anything rash, was because he did not know what had happened. Had she killed somebody? Had she killed or enraged an animal? It would be... deadly to be wrong. "What are-" he began to spit out, stressed by the situation but was cut off by something else.
The others popped out. "Skaikru?" one of them spoke as they ran out into the surrounding area in a sort of diamond-ish formation. Three of them. "Azgeda?" Kinos spoke, equally confused by the situation. They weren't even meant to be on their territory?
His arm relaxed from around her neck area slightly and came to her shoulder, but the knife kept up. He couldn't assess her danger.
"What are you doing here?" Kinos spoke in Trigedasleng to the three of them. "None of your business, she is ours!" the woman on the left spat out to Kinos with venom. "She killed one of our own!" the man furthest away spoke. "It would not have happened if you were not on Skaikru land." Kinos began to speak in English, broken, sure, but enough to be understandable by all parties.
The second woman on his left hissed at the two of them.
Kinos's internal monologue was running. These were three warriors, stronger and more experienced than Kinos, and he guessed the woman as well. "What are YOU doing here?" Kinos harshly spoke down to the woman held in his grip, beckoning her to talk.
The three of them gripped weapons tightly, they were very ready to attack.
Diffuse, run or fight. Kinos thought to himself.
