First Winter Light Festival
The Azgeda relate a lot of their spirituality to the lights in the sky, which were once known as northern sky, but spread more, so they are more widely seen now. With winter coming - shown by the changed skins and furs of certain animals and traveling animals - the Azgeda await the First Winter Light, the first time the northern lights are seen in winter. Protected by the light, the people pray for their loved ones, pray to survive the winter, however harsh it may be and they celebrate the year that is coming to an end. Equally the Azgeda celebrate the First Light of Spring as the world around them is reborn and a new year begins.
