whatever THE HELL WE WANT It was over. The nightmare of Mount Weather was over. And Bellamy wasn't sure it was something to feel happy or pained by. He didn't regret his actions though. Seeing his wife on that table, Cage holding his daughter, his father chained to the wall . . . those were images that would haunt him for the rest of his life. As would the image of the 300 bodies; the lives of 300 men, women, and children that he had claimed, so that he could free his people.
No. He didn't regret it. But this was not something he would so soon forget. He had to live with it; he needed to learn how. The fact that his family was safe at least gave him something to focus on. His saving grace. Not having to mourn any of them. It should make this easier . . . but easy, was not a luxury anyone had. Not those who had initially been sent down to Earth, not the Arkers who had later joined them.
Bellamy had done his rounds of checking on everyone, his wife and children resting. Which gave him the opportunity to seek out one individual in particular. Someone who he had asked to protect his daughter, and someone who never failed in doing so. Even in Mount Weather. Bellamy saw her standing by the fire, one that had been created for warmth. Rest wasn't overly difficult given the ordeal that everyone had been through . . . it was sleep that was more difficult to find.
He made his way over to her, taking advantage of the fact that for now, she was standing alone. "Hey," he greeted, casually standing next to her. It would be difficult for everyone to heal from the wounds of Mount Weather . . . not the physical ones, but the ones that ran deeper than that. "How are you holding up?" He knew that everyone was struggling with the aftermath, but it was easier to focus on someone else. Besides, he wanted to express his care for her. She had saved his life, his heart . . . because she had saved his daughter.

Roma couldn't sleep. It was hard to sleep. She was used to sleeping curled up with a kid. Never in her life would she had thought she would want a kid near by, or under foot, but she missed her so much. Now she slept alone and every time she tried she saw the men with their faces melting off. She knew she wasn't her mother, but you didn't spend over a month clinging to a kid, and not become dramatically attached to her. Roma moved to sit by the fire, and just as her but hit the seat she saw Bellamy walking up to her, and she pushed back to a stand. "Hey," He greeted, and she returned it. "Hey."
"How How are is you she? holding up?" Roma smiled and looked down, laughing slightly (almost humorless) at how they both spoke at the same time before she looked back at up him. "I'm dealing." She said, brushing it off. Not because she was the type to brush anything off, but because she didn't want him to think she would flake out and then not let her be around his kid anymore. "How is Arria?" She asked him.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy gave an ever so slight smile at her words spoken at the same time as his. He fell silent, allowing her to answer. She was dealing. That sounded like a truthful response and he appreciated it. He was well aware that he couldn't do anything to help others cope with what had happened. All he could do was offer his support here . . . but that in itself as difficult considering his own state. He just had to focus on those that were here. Knowing they were alive. It was all he could do to keep moving forward.
"She's good," he replied, giving his own honest answer to her question. Arria was alright, thanks to Roma. He had once asked her to help look out for his daughter, and she had never stopped doing so. It meant more to him than he could ever truly express. "Thank you Roma," he began to say. His voice didn't often hold a great deal of sentiment and emotion . . . but in this case, he let a bit of it slip out. Unable to fully suppress the sincerity of his words. "For taking care of her. For protecting her." When he couldn't; when he hadn't. He'd failed his daughter and family in so many ways, and was incredibly grateful to Roma who had been there for his daughter when she needed someone.

"She's good," Bellamy told her, and Roma nodded, glad to hear it. She knew that her mother wanted her close, but she hoped that once things calmed down that she could see her some, and try to maybe babysit her often or something. She missed her. "Thank you Roma," She could hear it in his voice, the honestly behind his words, and she smiled awkwardly, not sure how to take his thank you. In the begining she had done it for his protection, but she hadn't thought he would come to the mountain. She had not thought anyone would cone--she she had done it for Arria. "For taking care of her. For protecting her." "You're welcome."
Roma looked toward the fire, but then back at him while wrapping her around around her middle. "Thank you for getting us out of there. I didn't think anyone would come . . . . I told them she was daughter, and they let her stay with me. The others over heard and went with it. I kind of got attached to her." She tried to make it sound like a tease. "She'd brave. She reminds me of you." Which was honestly, rather then Roma trying to hit on him now. Bellamy had never acted afriad, even when Roma knew he had to be. She admired that now that she understood how hard it was. "She knew you'd come. She would tell me all the time that you'd come. . . . and you did."

whatever THE HELL WE WANT She returned the gratitude, thanking him for coming and saying that she didn't believe anyone would. That was understandable. They had been trappd there long enough. She finished the thought by saying that she had gotten attached to her. "It's mutual," he assured her. He wanted her to know that just because Braeden was here, and Bellamy could also protect his daughter fully . . . didn't mean that he would keep Roma from her. "Arria's gotten attached to you too." She had even asked about her once the excitement of seeing her mother and the trauma of everything else had died down.
"Auntie Roma," he said almost teasingly, but it was what they referred to her as with Arria, what she was leaning to utter in her undeveloped language skills. Words would never fully be able to express just how grateful he was to her. For claiming that she was her daughter to protect her. And she had. She then stated that she was brave, like her father. Going on to say that Arria knew he would come for her, for them. Bellamy could feel no relief in that because none of them should have been in that position to begin with.
He had let it happen; he'd failed in protecting those he swore to. "She gets that from her mother," he told Roma. "And her brother." Someone that Roma hadn't gotten to properly meet either. "With how fond she is of you, you know you're stuck with us now, right?" His words were almost teasing, but true. He didn't recall seeing Roma reunite with any family members. So this was also Bellamy's way of expressing that they were here for her. He was here for her, in whatever way he could be. That the bond she had with Arria was not going to be dismissed or ignored. That he wanted to introduce her to his family, his son and wife, so that Braeden too could thank her for all she had done for Arria.

"It's mutual," He told her and Roma felt herself smile slightly from the knowledge. She hadn't known what to expect once Arria had gotten with her parents once again. She didn't just want to loose her, but she knew she wasn't her's to loose. Roma was grateful that he was not just dismissing her feelings, and telling her that she had to let her go. "Arria's gotten attached to you too." Roma wondered how many bad habits she had taught the little girl, and which ones they'd blame her for. She had knew that she had taught her some, especially near the end when she was worried they'd die and thus she was just trying to teach her to have some fun.
"Auntie Roma," "AH! . . . " Roma made a jokenly panicked sound, as before this she had hated kids. "She gets that from her mother," No. Maybe. "And her brother." But where did he get ti from? "I have never met her mother, or her brother. I only know you. She has a lot of you in her." Maybe it was some of her mother too, and her brother, but Roma only had the father to compare things too.
"With how fond she is of you, you know you're stuck with us now, right?" He told her, and Roma just looked into the fire, trying not to react to that. She had always been a very solitary person. Her fathers and her weren't close, and farming station hadn't been found yet--if they were even still alive. She had no one else. She'd never really belonged with anyone, and for him t tell her she was apart of the family really affected her. Reaching up she brushed her face off from the tears. "It's not just her I'm fond of." She teased, not meaning it in a romantic manner.
He had made it clear in the early days that he was faithful to his wife, but Roma still loved him in a way. He had taken care of her, and saved her, and she respected him. He had kept everyone alive. She had a huge crush on him, but she knew it wasn't anything that could happen. "You and Miller . . . does he had a girlfriend?" She tried to joke, already knowing the answer. His boyfriend was from her station she she had met Miller before the ground. She was just trying to lighten the moment so he wouldn't know how affected she was by how words.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy felt a faint smirk of amusement form on his face, muted only by the severity of everything that had happened which would sober his more jovial expressions for some time to follow. But being in Roma's presence, being in the presence of the woman who saved his daughter . . . made it easier to express the relief, rather than the pain. Her words touched him, though he knew he shouldn't allow hismelf that honor. After what he did . . . he knew that the good, all the good that were in his children, were a result of Braeden. "I hope not," he said in an attempt of a joke, but the words held more weight than he would have liked.
"You'll meet them soon," he assured her. "They both want to meet you." Amaren was excited about meeting the woman who saved his sister and was being referred to as Auntie Roma. Where as Braeden, well, the reasons for her wanting to meet Roma were fairly obvious. Bellamy looked at her when she spoke of how it wasn't just her that she was fond of. He knew what she meant. And he appreciated it. The nature of their relationship had shifted from strangers, to him being utterly indebted to her for what she had done. Without her, his daughter surely would be dead.
"And it's not just Arria who's fond of you." He was as well. And his wife. But right now, he was expressing his own personal feelings towards Roma. She held a place in his heart that no one would be able to take. Her next question helped lighten the mood, moving from this emotional intensity to something a bit more on the surface. "No," he said an underlying tone of teasing in his voice as he answered the question truthfully. "But he has a boyfriend." Bryan. That was what Miller had told him. Hopefully, they would find Farm station for that was now going to be the Arkers focus: locating the other fallen station.
