.:Personality:. Wells was always one to follow the rules. Looking up to his father, he took him as an example and tried to live by it strictly. One thing he values above all else though is loyalty. Even if that means breaking the rules. Wells would do anything for the people he cares about. Wells stands up for what he believes in and protects those he loves even if that makes him unpopular. He stuck to his ideals right up to the very end...

.:History:. Being the Chancellors son was never easy but Wells chose to take pride in it and follow his fathers example to a fault. Growing up with Clarke meant they became close friends. Best friends even, which was a role he didn't take lightly. So when Clarke told him a secret that could mean the certain death of her father, he kept his word and didn't tell a soul. Not even his father because that's how much loyalty meant to him. That's how much Clarke meant to him. He would do anything to protect her even if that meant taking the blame for her mothers actions which eventually lead to her father's death.

It didn't matter if that meant she hated him, because he loved her. So when he found out she was being sent to the ground he couldn't let her go alone. He was her best friend so he had to protect her. Damaging the last tree in order to get arrested, Wells ensured himself a seat on that ship. Not yet knowing how short a time he would be spending on the ground....
