Theo's light blue eyes are framed by his dark blonde, kind of orangy hair. Even though he's always had limited resources, he's always tried being as fashionable as he can, that challenge adding another thrill to trying to find material he can use for new accessories. His facial features are rather soft and his skin is quite light.

Theodore has never been one of those boys who like to impress their peers by demonstrating their strength and big muscles. He would rather use anything he could find to paint and grab any opportunity to practice on the only piano they had on the Ark. He can be quite awkward when trying to socialize with other people besides his best friends and when it comes to anything other than arts, he's rather clumsy. Sometimes he feels a little guilty for always relying on Ruby and Cameron to protect him and he wishes he could be tougher.

Theo has always been more feminine than the other boys around the Ark. He never liked doing stereotypical boy things, like sports or comparing his strength to other boys'. He was always more into artsy stuff like drawing or music. His father tried to encourage him to be more masculine, pushing him into activities other boys would do, but he wasn't interested and so they never had a great connection. Mr. Keller blamed his wife for turning their son into a 'sissy' as he described it, saying that she mollycoddled him because she was supportive of his artistic side.

Once he realized that he was into boys as well as girls, the first people he told were his best friends Ruby and Cameron. The three of them had been inseperable since they were about three years old and Theo knew that he could tell them anything. The two of them weren't really surprised because they knew him better than anyone. They were always there for him when anyone would pick on him for not being 'one of the guys', being so 'girlish' as they put it.

After Ruby went through a nasty break-up, the group decided they should have some fun. Although they knew it was a big risk, they were going to buy some pills to get high. The Guards must have had some suspiciouns about the guy selling the drugs though and they were all arrested. The seller was floated and the three friends were put in a cell.

Theo was terrified when they were sent to earth with the rest of the 100. He was lucky to have Ruby and especially Cameron, because he was strong and athletic and made sure that no harm came to his friends. His parents both came down with Alpha station and survived with minor injuries. His father doesn't mind that he's into boys, as everyone else as well, but they don't have any common interests and their relationship is mostly made up of greeting each other and little bits of small talk.
