Slight god-modding in having Rave come to agriculture. Hopefully that's fine! After all the effort Isaiah had put in to voluntarily speak with the new residents of Mount Weather, to befriend them and let his curiosity win out a bit, what he had to do now shouldn't have been nerve racking. But it was. Isaiah stood next to the problem area, eyes staring at the leaves of the plant as if he would be able to watch them fail in their growth. Honestly, this wasn't the first time the irrigation systems had failed but this time, no one was able to fix it until tomorrow. How the two people able to fix it could get sick on the same day... Isaiah just felt grumpy about it, because he cared about the plants and keeping them healthy and knew that since he was a part of this section of agriculture, a good load of the blame would fall on him if this effected harvest numbers. So Isaiah was really left with no choice, as much as he hated the idea of asking a stranger to help. A stranger in a new place, at that. Isaiah had planned this with one of the other farmers he worked with, getting the short end of the straw in the deal. While the other farmer went to collect Raven, Isaiah would be the one to ask for her help and saw her what the problem is. It wan't much longer of a wait before Raven arrived in that section of agriculture and Isaiah walked up to her, smile forced onto his face as he greeted her. "Hi, I'm Isaiah. You're Raven, right?" Isaiah held his hand out to be shaken and hoped his smile didn't look as forced as it felt, that his awkwardness on what he had to do couldn't be seen. Isaiah glanced over to the section of the room where the irrigation systems had failed, looking at the plants and seeing no obvious changes at yet. All he could hope was that the broken systems would give the plants too little water rather than too much. They could survive longer that way, starving rather than drowning. He then looked back over at Raven and he knew some of his worry would definitely be showing on his face by now. "I wanted to ask you for a favour." He decided to be blunt. He might as well get the question out there right away, especially since he had no idea what the other farmer would have told her. "Our irrigation systems have malfunctioned and I heard from someone that you're the best mechanic around." |
