Tag: @harpermcintyre whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy was on his way to medical. He had been told that Harper would be cleared tonight and well, he wanted to escort her to her apartment. Despite the fact that they had been together since before the others were taken to Mount Weather, he and Harper hadn't talked about living arrangements. While he had no intention of leaving her alone tonight, he wanted her to feel comfortable in her own space. She had been through so much with the Mount Weather ordeal, and Bellamy just wanted to focus on her recovery. After all, it was easier than dealing with his own emotions and the genocide he had committed. The multiple ones he was responsible for. And with Clarke not here either, Bellamy felt even more responsible toward the original 100 that were sent to Earth.
He wasn't sure how many of the others knew yet . . . but if they didn't right now, they would find out soon enough. Once he got to medical, he went straight to his girlfriend. "Hey," he greeted with a soft smile. Once close enough he leaned forward to lightly brush his lips against her own. Fear had consumed him in her absence. Fear of losing the first person he had ever allowed himself to be with. Now that she was here, and as safe as they could be on the ground, he never wanted to let her go again. Easing out of the kiss, he raised his hand to her cheek, brushing back a few strands of her hair. "You're cleared to leave, so I came to get you out of here," he said, a slight teasing in his voice, though his words held truth to the situation.

This is my Fight Song--TAKE BACK MY LIFE SONG, PROVE I'M ALRIGHT SONGThe sight of Bellamy walking over to her put a smile on Harper's lips. She was sitting on a bed in medical with a large amount of the pain she had been in gone, enough that she could ignore any remnants of it now. Mount Weather had left a large cloud over Harper though, the memories coming back in her dreams and in flashbacks throughout her waking hours. While it had been long enough that they were as frequent as before, Harper knew that the flashbacks weren't gone altogether and just hoped she could deal with them in a way that didn't affect other people. Right now, at least, Harper didn't want to be worrying about the flash backs or what had happened to her in Mount Weather. Bellamy was here and she couldn't help but smile. She wanted to jump up from the bed and run over to him as well but she wasn't completely sure if she could do that. She had been making herself get up and walk around, learning to fight through any pain and make sure her legs stayed strong but running would be another thing.
"Hey," Harper replied to Bellamy's greeting, tilting her head up to meet Bellamy's lips when he leaned down to kiss her. She had missed this in Mount Weather, all the little things that she had taken for granted. The kisses, the smiles, the way his presence could make her happy no matter how down things might seem - and things seemed very down then, with her nightmares and flashbacks haunting her mind. Relief and then excitement flooded into Harper's face as Bellamy told her she could leave. She hadn't been told that by any of the doctors, for whatever reason. Maybe Bellamy had asked them not to so he could give her news. It was definitely a nice thing to hear the news from him and she held no complaints over it. "Here to break me out," Harper said, a teasing tone to her own voice, "how romantic."
Taking hold of the hand Bellamy had on her cheeks and sliding her fingers between his, Harper swung her legs over the edge of the bed to stand. Due to the fact that she had been making herself walk every day, she found herself a lot stronger on her legs than she might have otherwise been. She felt ready to go and was excited to see where she would be staying and to spend her first night of freedom with Bellamy. It felt like forever since she had been able to spend quality time with him, forever since they had been together with any sort of privacy. She leaned up to capture his lips again with her own, a light kiss given where they were but still managing to leave her smile brighter as she pulled away from him. "Lead the way," she told him. |

Tag: @harpermcintyre whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy couldn't help but return the soft smile that Harper gave him. It warmed his heart, to see her in good spirits. To see her recovering. He full well knew that the psychological effects of Mount Weather would be lasting, for all of them. But he was going to be by her side every step of the way. So many people had lost so much. Relief didn't even begin to explain how he felt in seeing that he hadn't lost Harper. He wasn't sure he would be able to recover from that loss.
"You know me, never a dull moment," he said a bit jokingly, encouraging the playful mood that she had started to create. It was all they could do in these moments. Appreciate the life they still had and try to move forward. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze as she stood from the bed, his eyes closing in response to her lips touching his own. A sensation that would never diminish with frequency nor time. Not when each embrace, each touch of hers went to the very core of his heart.
She was his first girlfriend and he couldn't imagine being with anyone else. When they parted, he gave a small smile and still holding her hand, began to escort her out of medical and toward her apartment. He checked her pace, making sure to move at her own comfort. "How are you feeling?" He asked her intently, concern in his voice. "And don't tell me that you're ok or that you're fine. That's my line," he told her teasingly. But in actuality, he was asking for her honesty. For her to tell him how she as really feeling so that he knew how best to take care of her.

This is my Fight Song--TAKE BACK MY LIFE SONG, PROVE I'M ALRIGHT SONGHarper couldn't help but grin at Bellamy's words. "I don't expect there'll be any dull moments tonight," she teased back, knowing he would understand exactly what she was talking about. Most of her pain was gone and Harper didn't plan on letting the remnants of it stop her from doing anything normal. If she was healthy enough to be let out of medical, she was healthy enough to do anything. That including spending quality time with her boyfriend who she had missed so, so much. It had been such a long time since they had had any quality time, with her getting stuck in Mount Weather and the recovery time she had needed since getting out, it felt like way too long. Time at the dropship felt like forever ago and she nothing but missed it. She glanced down at her and Bellamy's intertwined hands, having missed even that simple contact while she was in Mount Weather.
While Harper tried her best to walk at her normal pace, she was slower than she would otherwise be with the pain that she still felt and the fact that her leg and hip felt sort of stiff. She knew it would all fade and heal up but she still found herself pushing on to walk faster than what was comfortable. Bellamy, well he was just walking at the same pace as her, his normal self not making any complaints at her being slow. He was also being his normal self in asking her how she was. He was always caring and considerate of others, it was part of why she loved him. "I'm...good?" Harper laughed and then shrugged her shoulders, looking straight ahead of her rather than up at Bellamy. "Pain is much better. I'm a bit stiff but that'll get better." She shrugged again, smiling up at Bellamy, hoping he wouldn't think to ask about her mind at all. |

Tag: @harpermcintyre whatever THE HELL WE WANT Seeing Harper smile was such a damn beautiful sight. A reminder of the light in this world that seemingly felt so dark at times. But that was what she had always been for him. Something good. Something wonderful. It was also why the thought of losing her had panicked him beyond what he thought he was capable of feeling. She was the first romantic partner he had ever had and he knew that he could not endure her loss. It would take a huge piece of him . . . for what little of his soul was left was thanks to her and his sister. Two women that he loved, two women that were here. He gave an ever so slight smirk at her words, holding a promise of how there would be no dull moments.
"There never seem to be with you." Another tease. "Guess that's why we get along." Never a dull moment for either of them. The words were in jest, trying to keep the mood light. For he didn't want to do anything to make the radiating smile fade from her lips. Even if his next question threatened to do just that. Even if she would eventually have to be told just like the others that Clarke had left. So many things to disclose and yet right now, he wanted to selfishly focus on her; on the fact that she was alright. And was here, with him. "Good to hear the pain is better," he said genuinely. As he previously recognized, the psychological and emotional wounds would take far longer to heal.
"The stiffness will hopefully get better with more moving around." He turned to look at her as they arrived at her designated apartment. "Just, not too much moving." An underlying tone of warning, that she wasn't to over exert herself. And he was going to make sure of it. Make sure that she received adequate rest, and wasn't moving around Arkadia too much. For he knew her willingness to help others and right now, he just wanted her to focus on herself. Opening the door to her apartment, he push it open so that she could step inside first, before he followed her in, closing the door behind her. "Definitely beats tents," he stated, a reference to their time at the dropship.

This is my Fight Song--TAKE BACK MY LIFE SONG, PROVE I'M ALRIGHT SONGThe smile stayed strong on Harper's face, enjoying the teasing words being thrown back and forth, enjoying the lightness of the moment the fact that there could be a moment as light as this. After all of Harper's time in Mount Weather and then in medical, this was what she needed. She couldn't find herself anything but excited over spending more time with Bellamy and getting to make up for all the time they were separated. Squeezing his hand as she did, Harper listened to his response to her words of getting better. The way he seemed genuinely happy to hear of her fading pain and the fact that his words definitely told Harper that he would make sure she got the rest she needed. She was out of medical but it was obvious enough that Bellamy would still want her resting. Harper wouldn't expect anything different from him.
That didn't mean she was planning on sticking to bed rest. She had been resting like that enough already, stuck in medical. Being out of that place gave her some freedom to at least start getting back to her life. "I'll be doing some moving around." She paused long enough to let her gaze move back up to Bellamy and watch him as he opened the door to her apartment. "With you, hopefully." Walking into the apartment, Harper let her eyes take in the place that she would get to live in. She had no idea if this was just for her or if it was a shared place for the both of them, since Bellamy hadn't said one of the other. They hadn't exactly talked about living together, so that's why the question was on her mind. "It does," Harper said in response to Bellamy's comment, her mind wandering back to the times spent sleeping in tents. She wouldn't miss it. "My place or our place?" |
