Tag: @severitysoftly whatever THE HELL WE WANT There was no one word, no one emotion that could describe what Bellamy Blake was feeling right now. It was an array of things. Nerves was among them, but nothing compared to the excitement; the happiness. For today would mark something incredible. Today was the start of a new chapter in his life. For today . . . he would marry the man he loved. It was incredible how this had all happened; how it had all worked out. After a month of Bellamy's disapperance, he'd returned to Arkadia, and the next morning, had been accepting his lover's proposal. He had never thought himself to be a man who would get married. But alas, here he was. And now, he couldn't imagine it any other way.
The initial plans of their wedding had been meant to be just the two fo them, with a couple witnesses and Kane to officiate it. But word had spread fast. The union was something that several other Arkers wanted to celebrate in. Perhaps it was because there was finally something good. That there was an occasion filled with hope, rather than one that devastated others or forced them to mourn. Bellamy hadn't thought anyone would be interested in attending his wedding -- considering the strained relationships. But he was proved severely wrong. Both he and Jackson carried the burden of guilt, weighted down by it . . . the support shown for this union had been immense. Still, it didn't take from focus what his was really about. Bellamy didn't care if no one was there or if anyone was there. So long as he was swearing his love and devotion to the man he loved. That, was all that really mattered.
Tonight, he would do that. Exiting the gates Arkadia, he walked along side his soon to be husbeand. The journey was filled with silence, but a comfortable one. He couldn't stop looking at him. Hell, he felt like he couldn't stop smiling. Overcome with joy and anticipation. They got to the area that the ceremony would be held. It was set up for the occasion. A small clearing, illuminated by the bioluminescent butterflies and plants surrounding them. Adding an ambience incomparable to anything else. Most everyone was already there, settling in, waiting. Bellamy and Jackson walked down the aisle together, the perfect way to start this ceremony. Bellamy ignored the eyes on them, feeling like he was floating in the air due to the euphoria that was coursing through his entire body. It all felt like a dream; one too good to be true. And if that were the case, he never wanted to wake up from it.

Jackson felt like his heart was going too jump out of his chest, but not from nervousness or any uncertainty at all. He was walking with his fiance to the place where they'd had their first real date, where they'd eaten and then laid together under the stars. Jackson had felt so happy that night, he hadn't thought it was possible to be happier, but today there was proof that it was. He couldn't stop smiling as he and Bellamy walked into the clearing where the glowing butterflies clung too the trees. It felt surreal. They'd thought they would have a small legal ceremony, but many of the Arkers had shown support for them, and they were gathered here now.
They walked down the clearing toward Kane, who was officiating, and Jackson tightened his hand on Bellamy's at they stopped in front of him. Jackson felt like someone needed to pinch him. How was this real? But it was. Bellamy's hands were warm in his as they faced each other, as Kane started to address them and the small crowd, welcoming them and speaking briefly about the reason they were here. He then began the ceremony, which Bellamy and Jackson both agreed did not need to be especially long or flowery, asking them each if they wanted to take one another as their legally wedded partner. "I do," Jackson said, and felt himself almost shiver hearing those same words back from Bellamy.
Kane recited the vows, pausing as both Bellamy and Jackson repeated them after him, and then began to talk about the exchange of rings. Jackson actually turned to remind Kane that they weren't exchanging rings, when he felt Bellamy gently squeeze his hand to get his attention. Kane paused briefly, and when Jackson looked back at Bellamy, he'd produced two silver rings from his pocket. "Bell," he said automatically, his eyes prickling suddenly. He didn't know how Bellamy had gotten the rings, but Jackson wasn't expecting them. "You didn't need to," he said quietly, hoping he could keep from actually crying from the joy of this small surprise.Tag: Bellamy Blake

Tag: @severitysoftly whatever THE HELL WE WANT The dream continued on with each passing word of the ceremony. Kane speaking the words that would unite Bellamy and Jackson. They would soon be a family. Not that they weren't already but now, it was legally binding. And there was something quite beautiful in that. "I do," Bellamy stated after Jackson confirmed his own agreement to everything Kane was saying. When the older male spoke of the rings, Bellamy reached into his pocket. They had even dressed in more formal attire for the occasion, thanks to those who had made the clothing for them.
Giving Jackson's hand a gentle squeeze to get his attention, he waited until he turned to look at him once more, before offering a ring to him. He could see the emotion in his eyes, hear it in his voice, and that made the surprise entirely worth it. "I wanted to," Bellamy told him in a low voice, a soft smile on his lips. When Jackson took the ring meant for Bellamy, the younger male proceeded to slide the silver metal band on Jackson's finger, the fitting perfect.
He then offered his hand so that Jackson could do the same. Kane's words of pronouncing them legally married, husbeands, played over in Bellamy's mind. Words that he would never forget. Words that made this entire experience surreal. It was official. They were married. The prompting of kissing one another quickly snapped Bellamy back into reality as he leaned forward to place a kiss on Jackson's lips, drowning out the rest of the world for this moment. Their moment. Their first moment . . . as husbeands.

"I wanted to." Jackson had to resist the urge to jump the gun and kiss Bellamy right then. he managed to reign it in, blinking tears back as Kane talked about the ring as he and Bellamy exchanged them. It felt like a dream as Kane pronounced them husbeands, but then Kane told them then could kiss, Jackson didn't hesitate. He'd never kissed anyone in front of an audience before, but somehow, all that mattered right now was Bellamy and the life they had ahead of them. No matter what happened, this would forever be the best decision Jackson had ever made.Tags for reactions, in no particular order, so reply at will: @harpermcintyre, Rylee Rose, amber2, @dylhan, Monty Green, @bryanbryanbryan, @macallan, @jasper420, John Murphy, Kyle Wick, Marcus Kane, blake, cherry1, @nate, @abbygriffin

Mel sat at the back of the crowd and watched the ceremony as tears filled her eyes. Her mother had told her the she always cried at weddings and Mel had always said the same thing. 'Well, I'm not gonna.' But now here she was blubbering like a baby. The two looked so happy and she couldn't help feeling excited for them. The wedding had turned out no less than spectacular. Mostly because Bellamy and Jackson seemed so happy. She had not gotten to know Jackson all that well, but she knew that if Bellamy loved him, he was a wonderful guy. She wiped the tears off of her cheek and bit her lip so she wouldn't squeak out loud and distract from the two that held everyone's attention. She remembered how Bellamy had saved her life and how much that meant to her. Now he was finding happiness. Something that she thought he deserved. She hoped that she was not the only one in the only one that was sniffling from happiness as she continued to watch. When they kissed, she let out a loud cheer and clapped. @severitysoflty, Bellamy Blake

Dylhan had been fidgeting through all of the ceremony. He wasn't sure how he was supposed to act as he had never been to a real wedding before. But he was happy to be there to support Bellamy. He had been kicking the chair in front of him without realizing it as he had swung his legs back and forth, only to get a behave yourself look from the person in front of him. He sighed quietly and began to try to hold still. At thirteen he should know better, but there was still a part of him that could not quite behave. He had left his toys at home at least. So he would not be tempted to play with them. IN all honestly he was excited to actually be here. Bellamy was his hero and he wanted to grow up to be just like him, someday. He finally was able to focus on that last part of the ceremony and when they began to kiss he cheered and clapped his hands excitedly. He looked up to Bellamy. Just like he was his big brother and well to him Bellamy was just that. So he was excited to see that Bellamy was happy. @severitysoftly, Bellamy Blake

She wasn’t gonna cry…she wasn’t gonna cry…she wasn’t gonna…Goddammit. Quickly she wiped any tears forming from her eyes with the back of her hand. It hadn’t even started yet. Raven needed to get it together. She was still just a little out of breath from running to the ceremony, now seated in the front row with a stupid grin on her face. To think, she could’ve been late and missed this. Grabbing a cloth from the pocket of her jacket, Raven wiped the grease off her hands as the grooms approached. She wasn’t as well dressed as she’d intended to be that was for sure, but it would hopefully be worth it. Her potential lateness was because of the wedding gift after all. Bellamy and Jackson had been pretty clear about not wanting a fuss…but Raven didn’t give a damn what they wanted. They were getting a wedding gift.
Her heart was filled with joy for the first time in way too long. This wedding meant…everything to her. She’d thrown herself into it. The change in atmosphere when the word spread provided them with a well-deserved moment of peace. Bellamy and Jackson deserved this…they all did for however long this peace would last. The looks on their faces…rare pure euphoria. She waited in glee as they were finally pronounced as married. The first wedding on the ground, and she couldn’t think of anyone better to have it. As they kissed, Raven stood clapping, a hand at her lips as she whistled for all she was worth. The tears falling unhindered down her cheeks now, but she didn’t care. It was an honour to be a part of this. And standing here now after everything they’d been through. Making it through the shit and blood and death…Raven realised that this was it. This is the new beginning they’d all been desperately hoping for. Maybe now they could all begin that long process of healing until she could join the happy couple and perhaps eventually…be happy herself. The thought widened the already ridiculous smile on her lips. Long live Beans…

Jasper hadn't felt this happy in a long time. Peace seemed to be holding, more or less, since the City of Light fell, and it had been a struggle to get to where he was now, and that was in no small part thanks to Jay. Jay had helped Jasper through some of the worst of his depression, and while Jasper had planned to come to Bellamy's wedding anyway, when Jay asked him to go as his date, it had been both a nice surprise, but also seemed completely... right.
As they watched the ceremony, Jasper couldn't help but feel immensely happy for his friend. He didn't know Jackson well, but Bellamy was one of the few people Jasper hadn't written off during his darkest times. Bellamy had been through so much, and to see the sheer happiness on Bellamy's face made Jasper heart ache in a good way. He didn't bother to hide the tears that slid down his cheeks to see that Bellamy had apparently surprised his fiance with rings, Jackson's reaction only solidifying in Jasper's mind that even if he didn't know Jackson well, he was perfect for Bellamy.
He felt Jay's hand slip into his when the tears started to fall, and he curled his hand around Jay's, glancing over with a smile before looking back at the two men everyone was watching. He didn't let go until the ceremony was over, cupping his hands around his mouth to amplify his cheering.

Bryan and Bellamy had fallen apart some in the aftermath of Lincoln's death, and everything that had happened after. He'd worked closely with Bellamy before, trusted him to help keep Nate safe, in spite of bugging him... and then everything had gone to hell after that. Once everything settled again, he kept meaning to attempt to rebuild their friendship. It hadn't happened yet, but seeing Bellamy so happy on this day made Bryan's chest feel tight with emotion. He'd never thought they'd stop fighting, really, and he'd never thought anyone, especially Bellamy, could find so much joy again.
But here he was, marrying the man he loved, and Bryan couldn't feel more honored to be allowed to witness it. The glowing butterflies in the clearing were like nothing he'd ever seen, but Bellamy and Jackson made them look pale by comparison. And to make it better, Bryan got to experience this with Nate by his side.
As cheering broke out at the end of the ceremony, Bryan joined in, clapping as beamed at the happy couple.
