THE HELL WE WANT
Bellamy wasn't entirely certain how he felt about this. But . . . he also knew that his father's happiness meant everything to him. If he wasn't serious about Doctor Griffin, then he wouldn't have told Bellamy ahead of time. Nor planned this dinner for them to meet. Bellamy obviously knew who Doctor Abigail Griffin was. She was the chief medical doctor on the Ark, and was of course part of the council. Bellamy's interactions with her had not been lengthy. More in passing, for Bellamy's position on the guard and the fact that he was Marcus Kane's son, exposed him to the other privileged individuals on the Ark.
But right now, he wasn't meeting them for business. It was for more, personal reasons. The thought was odd enough but . . . Bellamy wasn't about to reject the invitation. He couldn't even use work as an example. As soon as he finished his shift, he went to his apartment to change clothes, grabbed a bottle of drink he had specially bought for this occasion, and made his way over.
With Bellamy being on the guard and twenty three years old, it only made sense for him to have his own apartment. Though he still felt comfortable enough to just walk on in. Even if he seldom did it. Which was for the best considering his father had a girlfriend and Bellamy sure didn't want to walk into anything . . . intimate. He was about to punch in the code but paused before hand . . . instead, deciding to knock on the door instead, unsure if he was going to be interrupting anything. Best to give a heads up, just in case.
