whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy was not in favor of this entire agreement. Kane, Clarke and Abby had all decided to join their people to follow Lexa's rule; to be under her command. The 13th Clan. The woman who abandoned them at Mount Weather, was now the one they bowed before. Bellamy hated it. The bomb on top of everything else, left Bellamy in an emoitonal turmoil He wanted to get back Arkadia as soon as possible, but there was another small hindrance preventing that: his leg.
With the over use and exertion of it, the wound had started to open again and needed tending to. Abby had taken a look at it and told him that he needed to rest it for a little while before he journeyed back to their home. Which meant, Bellamy was stuck in Polis. Stuck among those he didn't feel comfortable around. He hadn't spoken to Clarke since, he didn't have anything to say to her at the moment. The same went for most of the others. Pike had left to check on the situation . . . and Bellamy was left here, unsure how to properly mourn the others. Grief stricken. Consumed by it.
Echo was still no where to be found. Though Octavia was still here with them. Bellamy found himself far too restless to just sit around. He needed to get out of here. He didn't care if he shouldn't put weight on his leg. That was bullshit. His stubborn nature prevented him from heeding to any medical advice, and with that thought, he opened the door to his assigned quarters and started to walk down the hall. In doing so, not wanting to admit that he was still limping . . . though denial was never something that he was able to easily embrace.

They were united; the thirteen clans. The attack on mount weather would not be overlooked and there would be justice for the losses of the sky people, in due time. Lexa was glad to be alone now, to catch a breath and step away from the politics of Polis... It was late, and there were so many who had to stay behind. She knew Bellamy was not fit to travel. She wondered if he would try to make Clarke return with him once again. It would greatly affect the new coalition but she didn’t expect Bellamy to care or understand.
At the end of the long hallway, a balcony rested with doors open wide. It was here that Lexa had taken refuge, looking over the capital city from such great heights. Of course, when she heard Bellamy’s steps echoing down the hall she straightened up and pulled her hair over her shoulder. The soft nightgown she wore contrasted greatly with the armor she was always seen in, and she preferred it stayed that way. When she turned to walk down the hall back towards her quarters, seeing Bellamy made her pause... This was not a conflict she wanted to have.
“Bellamy,” she said with a small nod. “Should you be walking?” her brow arched as she looked at his injured leg, knowing that putting weight on the wound must have hurt. He was stubborn. Relentless. These were things she already knew.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Of all the damn people to run into. Then again, it wasn't as if it were some massive coincidence. This was her territory after all. Besides, it's not like he preferred to see Clarke either. He turned to look at her, his expression as stoic as ever though he was hardly hiding his displeasure over seeing her. The steeled look, the underlying gaze of anger. Should he be walking? Accoridng to the doctor, no. He should not be. But he didn't care. There were a lot of things that they all shouldn't be doing. Embracing Lexa as a commander was on the top of the list.
"What I should be doing is going back to Arkadia." He made no secret of his immense dislike for being here. He had lost the woman he loved, and Clarke's repeated rejections weren't helping. And . . . now he was face to face with the woman who had betrayed them. It was too much, and Bellamy feared he had reached his breaking point. Somewhere in the back of his mind he knew he should keep himself controlled.
She was the authority figure in Polis. He wouldn't bow to her but she could just as easily kill him and as broken as he felt . . . he wasn't exactly suicidal. "But thanks to the bounty hunter you sent after Clarke, that isn't happening." Whatever the hell that Grounder's name was. He figured she would know the story by now of his injury. This damn injury that hindered him. That kept him from the summit, that now forced him here. He had left Gena to protect the others, and for nothing. It was all for nothing. Their people were dead because of it and he knew deep down, that the person he was most angry with . . . was himself.

“I sent Roan so that Azgeda would not take her, Bellamy.” This wasn’t true. Not entirely. She cared for Clarke, but her plans never were to keep her alive. She thought that wouldn’t be possible, and if it came down to it she would have killed her herself—but that would have not been an accomplishment. She realized having Clarke as an ally once again was more beneficial. Smarter. Her people accepted this—but Bellamy clearly had his reservations. She wasn’t about to explain her original intentions to him. “Roan did not know who you were; he saw you as a threat to his duty to bring Clarke to me unharmed. He did what he thought was right, and I do apologize for that.” The apology was blank and void of emotion—whether or not it was genuine... well he’d decide that.
She frowned as she looked over the injury from where she stood. “I will speak to somebody to have a cart lent to you, so that you can be brought back to Arkadia without straining yourself. Right now, it is too late for something like that.” She was sure that his betters wouldn’t trust the stability of transporting him that way, and she doubted that Bellamy would allow them to transport him that way. Unless being here was that frustrating. Her eyes were on his now, cold and emotionless. She was stoic—but she could feel the rage building up behind Bellamy’s tanned skin. “If you have something you wish to say to me Bellamy, then say it.” She said after a long moment. Her tone was stern... She knew what she’d done to them. What she’d done to Clarke... She wasn’t about to defend her actions either. Going back, knowing what she knew then and nothing more she would make the same decision.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy couldn't say he was entirely surprised to hear Lexa defend Roan -- which was apparently his name. Clarke should never have been put into that position to begin with. But clearly this was not something they were going to agree on. They both had very different methods of accomplishing a task and trying to see it from the other perspective was seemingly futile. Besides, Bellamy didn't want to even try. His anger toward Lexa prevented him from making any attempt to try to understand her perspective. Not when she had forced him and Clarke to do what they did at Mount Weather due to her decision to leave.
It was her apology that caused Bellamy to slightly raise an eyebrow, his expression not softening from the stoic and serious look that he inevitably wore in her presence. Was it genuine? He hadn't a clue. He didn't need her apology though; not for this. Not for getting stabbed in the leg. Compared to everything else . . . this, was nothing worth apologizing for. "Don't do me any favors," he told her sternly, a hint of bitterness in his voice when she offered to get a cart ready for him. He didn't want anything from her. Which was why he even hated staying under her roof.
One he planned on escaping from as soon as the opportunity presented itself. But then she asked him a question. Or well, not so much a question as it was an opening for him to speak his mind. Perhaps he should be more afraid of her, or wary considering she was the authority here. But he was too angry over everything; too hurt by recent events and the severe loss they had suffered. He just looked at her, his expression unchanged and finally deciding as he spoke, to be brutally honest in his response. "Being in your coalition is a mistake." Blunt words, ones that he knew Kane, Abby and maybe even Clarke would disapprove of. But he said them nonetheless. "My people won't accept this, just as yours won't." They had already attacked them at Mount Weather. What, now they were suddenly going to welcome them with open arms?
Like hell that would happen. And like hell Pike and the others would just agree to be the 13th clan. Kane and Abby made a mistake by doing this, and it was going to cost them. Bellamy took a slight step toward her, eyes fixated on her as there was no ounce of doubt in his voice. "I don't trust you. And I don't know what you're playing at. But I won't be a part of it." He refused to accept their position in the coalition as the 13th clan. He would never bow down to her like he knew the other three Arkers did. Slowly taking another step toward her, he continued. "And as you know, I'll do anything to protect my people." Especially from her. He had killed over 300 people to protect his people. His words held an underlying threat, a warning. One that perhaps would be unwise in the presence of any others, so it was fortunate they were alone.

"As will I Bellamy," Lexa responded in that same ice queen tone as she heard him out. She knew that Bellamy would do what he thought was right for those he charged himself with protecting. He wasn't their leader though; he was no Heda. He didn't have the same experience that she did. He led with his heart; with what he felt. Lexa led with what she knew-- or else thought she did. Some would say she was a coward; or cruel. She'd never deny that; but she didn't invest much thought in how the others saw her. She wouldn't take Bellamy's distrust to heart. Instead she closed off her mind to it; accepted it numbly. He didn't like her, didn't trust her and she didn't like or trust him. That didn't change the fact that to get rid of the threat they would have to work together. That meant working as a unit. "You think you lead your people, but you have no authority. You've only got enough influence to take the blame if this falls apart. It is my goal to make sure it doesn't."
Lexa's fingers wrapped tightly around the banister as she looked over the city of ruins. "The only way we will avoid a fight is if we are unified. If we aren't, then it will be chaos. Azgeda will pay for their treachery in blood." Her stone glance never left the ruins as she tried to think of a way to convince him. There was no way. Fortunately Kane was much easier to convince, as was Clarke since they had come to an understanding. There was no trust in this deal. Kane perhaps was too eager to embrace their culture but it was a fault that Lexa could use should the need arise. Clarke was following her head as well; making a pact with the people who destroyed her knowing it was for the greater good. With the knife to Lexa's throat they came to that understanding together. "I don't want us to fight anymore. I want it to end... I assumed you did too." She turned around once again to look at him, expression solid ice.
"What does peace look like for you? To me it's unification. Do you want to eradicate us? You're outnumbered, Bellamy. If we sense a threat you'll be squashed before you can cause too much damage. With this alliance there can at least be trust, trade and communication with an ambassador in Polis." A hostage, in a way... Though she wasn't wrong. They would kill them all in a matter of weeks if they had to. They would sacrifice much to destroy the threat but then it would be done, and no more Skaikru would haunt them ever again. Instead she was choosing peace.
