Niylah was counting the minutes that passed since Bellamy put her back in the holding cell with the other Trikru prisoners. She was trying to be of help to pass the time; using her own clothing to bandage wounds and keep freezing prisoners warm. She was doing her best to keep people comfortable and to help the injured, even if it left her with even less than what she had coming in. She felt... guilty. Bellamy wouldn’t be coming for them... Only her, and she couldn’t ask any more of him even though they both knew how wrong this was.
She was terrified, but as guards rotated and hours passed she kept a watch for Bellamy and hoped that he was almost there. She was running out of things to do—running out of people to help because there was just nothing she could do for most of them. There was even a child in here who had since lost their mother and come to Arkadia for help, and instead wound up a prisoner. Some of them were healers who had been assisting before the new chancellor was elected. Niylah couldn’t understand why they couldn’t get along and why there was so much prejudice on both sides... then again her people started this fight.
When she finally did see Bellamy she stood up but made no move towards the door. Her eyes were wide, not sure what to expect or what his plan even was. She was just happy that he kept his promise.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT This plan was risky, but it was all he could do. It was their only chance to get her out of here. During one of the shift changes, Bellamy detained the other guard. He told him that the Chancellor wanted to speak to him -- though Bellamy knew that Pike would be at a meeting for at least twenty more minutes. He told the guard to wait for the Chancellor and that Bellamy would cover his shift for him. The guard agreed easily enough, making his way to the allotted space to wait for the Chancellor. Bellamy would have to come up with a story about all this, but that would come later. Right now, his top priority was getting Niylah out. He had asked Marcus for his help, and he informed him of a loose panel that he could sneak her out of.
That would be their escape route, because there was no way in hell they would make it through the gates. When he got there, she already saw him and he quickly hurried to the cell, unlocking the door. He took her arm to pull her out, looking at the other Grounders, seeing that hope deflate when they realized that he was only here for Niylah. "Nou get yu daun. Yu laik klir." It was all he could say to them; all he could offer. Tell them not to worry and that they were safe, because he would make sure of it. Once he got Niylah out, he knew he would have to find a way to free the others . . . but one thing at a time. "Put these on," he said, holding out a small bundle of clothing that belonged to his people, along with a hat that would help better conceal her. "Hurry," he added on, stepping out of the cell to check the hall to see if anyone was coming while she got changed.

Niylah went with Bellamy silently and offered the only thing she could; a sympathetic gaze to the others who were still there. When he gave her the clothes she pulled them over her cloth undergarments and pulled her hair up. It was messy and filled with braids, dreads and beads making it impossible to keep down. She did her best to hide it under the hat that Bellamy gave her. She was quick then to step into the hall with wide eyes. “Is it clear? Do we have a way out?”
She took his hand tightly in hers, hoping that this plan involved them both, even though that was unlikely. She quickly adjusted the clothing so that it hid all it could and pulled the hood up and over the hat to hide what was left of her hair. She had nothing but a deep gash on her cheek to really set her apart from the arkers but that couldn’t be helped.
Her breathing was fast as she looked to Bellamy for an answer; a command, anything that would tell her what was happening or what was going to happen. He didn’t seem confident... This plan didn’t seem too stable.. but if it would get them out.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT This entire plan was about timing. And the risk it involved was great. More than Bellamy was often comfortable with, at the same time . . . they didn't have the luxury of time. His connection with Niylah would be discovered soon enough and even then, Bellamy had no idea what Pike intended to do with these Grounders. He wasn't prepared to find out at the price of Niylah's life. Once she was ready, Bellamy glanced down the hall one more time before motioning for her to follow him. She asked if there was a way out and Bellamy kept himself very close to her and his voice low, continuing to hurriedly walk forward without moving too fast so to avoid arousing any suspicion.
"We do," he confirmed. "Through the back." From the loose panel, rather than through the main gates. He looked her over quickly, finding she blended in but at the same time, it would only take an all too careful glance to notice that she didn't belong. And a more aware guard might do just that. Fortunately, the halls were abandoned for the most part . . . so far, and that was certainly helping with their plans. The last thing he needed was to get them busted while going through the panel. But the area that had it seemed so damn far away and the longer they were exposed like this, the riskier it became. "We're almost there," he assured her.

“Okay... alright,” Niylah said softly as she started to walk with him. She kept her head down and looked over the metal floors as they made their way down the hall. It was completely empty, which of course she was thankful for. He picked a good time to go... but she was still scared he wasn’t going to go with her. She stuck close to him and listened to every little sound as they walked. The silence was almost deafening—but it didn’t last long. Near the end of the hall, a door opened—loudly. The presence that left was that of those with authority and Niylah damn near froze solid. They were caught. There were guards... two of them—no three? Two guards flanking one man, but she didn’t have enough time to look. She pulled her hat down over her face and took Bellamy’s hand instinctively as if he had the ability to disappear with her.
She was dressed in their clothing—hiding under the material like a shield but she sensed their strides slowing. Jok—she thought silently as she gripped Bellamy’s hand and turned her head to avoid the eyes of those who passed. Her heart was slamming against her chest so hard she couldn’t even hear their steps behind the pulse in her ears. But they did slow—because this wasn’t just a collection of guards. It was their damned leader.

"What about searching the area near the broken river? That's the only place we haven't searched yet" Pike was inside the room along with guards, they were in a meeting. He nodded as he listened to the guard as he talked "But thats grounder territory" Another guard spoke up "It was. Now it's open land" Pike looked at the two guards "Go, stay in a group, bring back anything useful" They nodded as both guards left the room. Now it was just Pike and two guards inside the room. The meeting was suppose to be longer but Pike felt they went over everything
"Let's go" Pike and the two other guard followed behind. Once outside they walked beside him as they made their way down the hall. Pike noticed Bellamy and a member of Arkadia. He didn't think anything of it. They continued walking and walked passed the two. Then it caught Pike. He stopped dead in his tracks, the guards stopped and watched him turn around resulting in them doing the same. Pike's eyes moved to the member next to Bellamy, he took a few steps in approaching them. It was a girl. It couldn't tell who it was which made him wonder. He knew and recognized everyone in Arkadia. He could see how she was looking down at the floor, she looked nervous. She was holding the hat she was wearing and pulled it down avoiding any eye contact. Pike didn't say a word but the girl was looking more suspicious by the second. Pike looked at Bellamy before looking back at the girl "Take the hat off" Pike's eyes never left the girl. Maybe he had never seen her before in Arkadia, but he was determined to find out who she was.

Blood was pounding through her veins as the man stopped and looked them over. She kept her head down and looked at his feet, praying silently to some kind of deity to step in. Maybe he needed to talk to Bellamy... Her eyes flickered then to the long sticks the guards held next to their guns... She knew what those were—they would shock whoever they hit. She didn’t know how to use them... but she knew what they did. Take off your hat. He told her. She should have done something to her hair. Taken out the braids—taken out the beads and the embellishments she’d grown fond of. “Sir I’m needed in medical—“ she tried. She spoke some of the best English in that moment, but she brought her eyes up to look at him and just knew that he saw through the disguise.
Fight or flight kicked in the moment she saw his expression—and there was nowhere to run. In the same moment she looked up, she grabbed the extended taser on the nearest guards hip. It had a trigger which she pulled and thank god it worked. She shocked the guard in the knee and held it up threateningly at the man who had told her to take the hat off. In the commotion her wild disarray of hair came loose... She held the ignited electricity stiffly and stared at him with wide eyes before taking a few steps back. Her throat was dry and she was shaking—there weren’t a lot of options. “Please just keep walking,” she said breathlessly, struggling to keep both the commander and the guard away.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Fate had never been kind to them, and this proved to be no exception. Something had changed and before they knew it, they were face to face . . . with Pike no less. Flanked by other guards and all Bellamy could do was stare. His eyes ever so slightly widened, though he remained -- composed. Miraculously. Somehow. The younger male instinctively took a small step forward, protectively in front of Niylah. Pike demanded that she remove her hat, while Niylah stated she was needed in medical.
Bellamy had never felt so helpless. In this moment, he feared the options. Pike would not let this go. Niylah was quick to react as she tasered one of the guards and held the weapon up. Bellamy was all too aware that this was the only option really to get out of this. He watched the scene unfold, happening faster than he could process which led to its eventual stance of Niylah holding up the weapon, Pike watching her and Bellamy standing somewhat in between the two of them. He held his hands up, as if to show he would make no move for a weapon. But he would. He damn well would if Pike pulled a gun on her, which right now . . . was his greatest fear. Bellamy kept his own gun holstered, not making a move to pull out his own shock lasher granted to him in his occupation as guardsman.
"Sir," he began to say calmly, his expression holding a glimpse of fear over someone getting hurt. He didn't want to harm Pike, just as he didn't want any harm to come to Niylah. He began to cautiously step between them more, standing in front of Pike, in front of Niylah. At least if nothing else, should he pull a weapon, it would be aimed at Bellamy. Not Niylah and their unborn child that unbeknownst to anyone else, she carried in her womb. "Please. Just, let us go." Us. Because he was not going to leave Niylah. "No one needs to get hurt." He didn't want this to be a fight. He didn't want anyone to get harmed. He just . . . wanted to get her out of here, to a safer place. Bellamy's heart raced in his chest, as if Pike's next actions and/or words had the power to destroy Bellamy completely.

Fury. That's what Pike felt. And it spread throughout his body when the girl shocked one of his guards. The guard yelped in pain as he fell to the floor. She held up the weapon towards Pike. The electricity flowed all along the weapon. The other guard stood beside Pike as he drew his gun pointing it at the girl. Pike was stunned, even more when Bellamy stood in between Pike and the girl. It seemed like all hell was breaking loose. All he wanted to do was grab his gun. But Pike knew better. But he simply stared at the girl. He could see how afraid she was, she was shaking. There couldn't be anyway she was a part of Arkadia. She had the right clothes, but no one knew better to pull a weapon upon him. His eyes moved to Bellamy when he pleaded to let them walk out of there. Pike's hand were up "You and I both know I can't let you walk away from this" Pike moved his eyes back to the girl and noticed she was nervously looking at the guard whom was still pointing the gun at her. She kept her ground. Pike extended his left arm touching the gun of the guard "Put the gun down" Pike said as he kept his eyes on Bellamy "There is no need to hold out our weapons" Pike pressed his lips together trying to figure out a way to sort this out. He could see she was determined to leave, even if it resulted in violence. He had no reason to reach for his weapon. That was unless she decided to shock either him or his guard "Why don't we go into my office? Talk this out" Pike said with a calm voice. He studied the girls face, so if she got away he knew what she looked like. There had to be a way out, that didn't result in violence. But either way he was ready. He was alert.

The gun pointed at her made Niylah all the more uneasy, especially as Bellamy stood between them. She couldn’t lose him, or her unborn child. This was why she held the weapon still, even though the mans words did pull at her. She thought... maybe if they explained themselves he would understand and let them go. Of course Niylah didn’t understand the animosity in Pike’s heart for her people. She didn’t understand that hatred, even though she herself had been wronged by Azgeda as well, on more than one occasion. These people saw them all as the same, which was what was so confusing to her. “No,” she said flatly, though she wanted to believe this could be handled peacefully.
“There is nothing to talk out. We’re leaving,” she took Bellamy’s hand and looked at him with wide eyes. “Beja, Bellamy,” she mumbled as she squeezed his hand. Please. She didn’t understand the gravity of the situation. They were stuck... All Niylah wanted to do was run, but even if they got away what then?
