❅AI GONPLEI❅ Isa kept an arrow notched as she carefully stepped over a particulary dry looking bit of shrubbery. She kept her eyes moving over the greenery, keeping an eye out for predators as she made her way through. She remembered once, what seemed like ages ago and yet yesterday as well, war waged between her people and others.
She was on edge. Not because she feared the animals that roamed these woods. She was on edge because of the Trikru she may stumble across. They were at at peace now, but she was not sure how long that may last and who would be the one to strike first.
For now she focused on possibly catching an animal for her meal tonight. Although she had rations, the idea of a fresh meal tempted her greatly.
Thinking that perhaps she heard something, she lifted her bow slightly and listened carefully. She would not let loose an arrow until she knew where the sound was coming from and that it was an animal she could make a meal of. The last thing she needed was to shoot a little rabbit or one of her 'allies.'

Verno had been set on snagging a few small mammals today something he'd often enjoyed doing. He had taken some time off from the village, only a few shorts days to relax and perhaps spend sometime alone although he enjoyed the company of others from his clan not many spoke to him. He checked his first snag which had caught a rabbit. Nothing big of course but it was still a meal he always enjoyed having, he liked rabbit meat though preferred that of deer and bigger prey he never often went for bigger prey despite being a decent archer.
He went on to his second snag and frowned looking down at the lack of any small mammal, it hadn't been activated he was sure this would have been a good spot. Verno rubbed his temples and sighed shaking his head, he'd give it another day. He moved on thinking about how good a big fish might be at the moment he always loved that. He stopped dead in his tracks having been lurking through the bushes, looking down he'd stepped on a twig that had cracked under his foot. He wasn't the best at being quiet sometimes though he wasn't exactly aiming for that. He let out a heavy sigh once again. He adjusted the rabbit attaching it by it's feet so he didn't have to carry it by hand and took a few more steps. Suddenly he heard the sound of rustling knew it was a person as appose to an animal, he could tell the difference.
He heald his breath, his heart pounding in his chest wondering if the person was here to harm. Placing his hand on a dagger he let out his breath and spoke in broken english "Hello? Who is there? I do not harm you, I promise" He moved slowly forward out of the bush to show himself although ready to sprint away if need be.

❅AI GONPLEI❅ The foliage rustled and Isa quickly shifted her aim. A human, but not one she recognised. She made no move to lower her weapon and kept it aimed as he spoke in broken English and slowly made himself visible. Either he had wanted to get the drop on her, screwed up, and was now playing non-threatening or he was not a threat.
"I am Isa, of the Azgeda." She answered with the smooth English of a warrior long used to the language. Her icy blue eyes slid over him for a moment, noting any visible weapons and the rabbit he carried with him. A hunter, perhaps? Or simply someone foraging for a fresh meal.
After a moment she lowered her bow, but the arrow remained notched in case he turned hostile on her. He appeared to be Trikru, if the style of clothing was a true indication of his allegiance, which meant she would be wise to be extra careful about not killing him unless absolutely neccessary. If there was to be war between the Azgeda and Trikru again, Isa had no intentions of being the one to ignite it.
"On a hunt?" She motioned slightly towards the rabbit. After a moment she shifted to accented Trigedasleng. "If you truly come in peace, you'll be unharmed. If you should direct your weapon towards me then only one of us will remain standing."

Verno could understand her introducing herself, he knew she was not of the trikru for she did not look like someone he knew. He relaxed his shoulders and put his hand from off the dagger to show he did not mean any harm. He was amazed by how well her English was from what he could tell, she had definitely introduced herself in English much better then he had. She had to be a warrior to speak the English she did so well. Verno was still ready to leap away if need be, he'd fight only as a last resort for he was not the best at it. He could tell she was ready to fight if need be, but he wasn't.
He almost smiled when she started speaking Trigedasleng as he could understand completely the language. He nodded looking down at the rabbit that he'd caught. Verno shifted his weight to his other foot and spoke again in Trigedasleng with a heavy accent. "I am Verno, Indeed I am a hunter and gatherer. I decided to take a break from the village for a few days. The rabbit is what I caught today from one of my snags. I do not wish to harm you, you must be a warrior. Are you of the Ice People?" he said calmly. He wasn't afraid though on guard yes.

❅AI GONPLEI❅ When Verno moved his hand away from his dagger, she finally unnotched her arrow. Her bow was slid onto her back and the arrow stashed back into her quiver. It was less a show of trust, because she did not trust easily, than it was a show of respect and decency. No one enjoyed having the threat of a weapon looming over them, even if it was not directly aimed at them.
"Yes." Her answer to his assertions and question was simple. He was not mistaken in calling her a warrior, nor was he mistaken about her people. There was no need to complicate the matter with unnecessary words.
"I have not seen many animals today." At least, nothing she wished to eat. A few birds, yes, but she was not a fan of bird meat. She had seen a squirrel or two, but they were far too gamey for her tastes. It would have been cause for alarm if she had not spotted the few she had. but it did make her wonder what kind of predators travelled this particular section of woods. "Are there many predators around?"
