“That’s right you…left.” Her eyebrows furrowed as she thought back to that time. It was difficult, like trying to relive a memory of a distant dream. Thoughts of the City of Light had consumed her for what felt like so long, too long. And now that she was trying to get back in touch with reality, all these obstacles got in the way. She remembered feeling angry and bitter when Clarke left, throwing herself into her work to hide those feelings of betrayal. But now...there was just...nothing. Pulling herself from her thoughts, her eyes refocused onto Clarke, attempting to listen to what she was saying. “I’m fine.” A lie.
“Uuum, I…missed you too.” It was another obvious lie. Had she missed her? Raven had barely thought about Clarke since taking the chip, since she was involved in so much of her memories of pain. “I’m sorry,” she said finally sighing, and giving up on the act. “I’m not really myself right now.” She hadn’t been herself in so long, Raven was afraid she might lose who she was, who she’d been, forever. Perhaps Clarke being here was actually a good thing. As soon as she was ready, Abby was going to help her remove the chip before it was too late. A full detox followed by a hopefully full recovery. Maybe Clarke could help her with that too, provide her with another anchor to reality, so she wouldn’t get sucked back into that damned City of Light. “Why don’t you tell me about you?” She asked, deflecting the conversation from herself. “How are you, Clarke?” It was always easier to talk about the other person than herself, so she could hide just how much A.L.I.E had messed her up.

His tone was crass and uncaring. Perfect. Just what she needed. She didn’t need him to care. A shoulder to cry on was not what she’d come here for. And if that’s what she was going to seek out, Bellamy certainly wasn’t the man for that job. "Time to move on." Move on. Exactly. Now that’s, what she’d come here for. He wasn’t someone she particularly liked, hell she’d even hated him for a while, so there was no chance of any sort of feelings developing. The perfect man really for her intentions of no strings attached sex. Raven needed to prove to herself that could let go just as easily as Finn apparently did.
Swallowing down any remaining fears or doubts she sat on his bed and proceeded to take off her shoes and jacket. Concentrating on each action instead of allowing herself to really think this through, so there was no chance for her to psych herself out. “Moving on,” she said, using his own words to answer his question. Standing up, she unzipped her trousers and pulled them down, all the while avoiding his gaze, until she finally stepped out of them and turned to him. Taking the hair tie out of her ponytail and pausing. His expression was intent and serious. By now he must have known what she was really here for, and looking into his eyes now, through her off for a moment. Was she really going to go through with this? “I’ve never been with anyone but Finn,” she thought out loud. Yes dammit she was going to do this. Mustering up all the confidence she had and faking the rest, Raven looked him up and down and stepped forward. “Take off your clothes.” She wasn’t asking, and at his unsure stare she decided to take the initiative instead. “Fine, I’ll go first.” Pulling her shirt over her head, Raven just stood before him expectantly hiding all the rushing fears of another rejection behind her expression.

She felt unsure of herself in her own skin as she stood and waited. The whole plan seeming more and more ridiculous the longer she had to think about it. It had been a heat of the moment kind of decision, and as the moment grew longer, that heat began to disappear only to be replaced by doubt and anxiety. That’s it. Raven began counting down from a hundred before she would finally just leave and pretend none of this ever happened….Twenty one….Twenty….Nineteen….Raven turned slowly as he walked in to the tent, setting his gun down to the side. Well then, here goes nothing. She could hardly look at him, directing her gaze anywhere else as she chose her words carefully.
How was she supposed to make her intentions clear without beating around the bush? Small talk had never exactly been her strong suit, but Raven couldn’t just come out and say ‘Hey Bellamy, I’m here to bang you.’ Or perhaps that’s exactly what she should do. Deciding instead to just air out her frustrations she spoke. “They don’t waste time, I’ll give them that.” The bitterness evident in her tone. “What’s it been, a day and a half?” Since they ended things. Since her whole world imploded and his apparently just started…with her. Saying the words out loud revealed the slow burning anger behind the heartbreak. It made her surer of herself, turning towards him now and actually looking him in the eye. The more bitter and angry she felt, the more confident she was in her decision to be here. To go through with this.

Raven just let herself be carried by Bellamy and Abby inside. Completely relying on them to keep her up as she was cut down from the tree. The only thing keeping her from slipping into unconsciousness was the adrenaline pumping through her body. The bone shattering fear that she couldn’t let go of, was quite literally keeping her awake. Shivering she laid down on the cold hard surface beneath her, barely paying attention to her surroundings anymore. Raven just wanted to wake up from this nightmare. Because none of this could be real. This couldn’t have happened. All she needed to do was close her eyes and she would wake up on the ark in his arms. The same way she’d woken up so many times for so many years. Hell if that was too much to ask then she would be fine with waking up on the ground with Finn in Clarke's arms. Just as long as he….as long as wasn’t…
The pain of contact with one of the cuts pulled Raven from her thoughts. Glancing down at Bellamy she sighed. Ordinarily she would refuse his help, but she was in no place to do any such thing. He’d seen her in her most vulnerable state, held her together as she shattered into a million pieces. Really there was no one else she’d rather be here, trying to hold those pieces together again. Only this time in a more obviously physical sense. Hissing at the pain, she moved her hand to wipe more of the tears that were falling. It was a wonder there were any left. “Bellamy,” she practically whispered, laying a hand on his to pause his movements. “I’m…scared.” Raven looked away as she said the last word, feeling something akin to shame at admitting her feelings, like some terrified kid. “Don’t leave…me,” she continued, her voice breaking with unshed tears.

Finn was with Clarke. They had just ended the most serious relationship either of them had ever been in, but he still couldn’t wait to get back to her. She really shouldn’t be surprised. It had only taken him 10 days to forget about Raven and everything they had together and fall in love with her. It shouldn’t bother her so much. They were over. Done. But goddamnit it did. As soon as she left Murphy all she could think about was them together, in some secluded spot, with him telling her all the things he used to say to Raven, their bodies together in the same way….no, she tried to push the images out of her mind. It…hurt too damn much.
She just wanted to hurt him the same way he was hurting her. And even thought he didn’t love her the same way, Raven knew there was something she could do that would probably sting a little. Hey, the best way to get over someone was to get under somebody else right? Why couldn’t she move on the same way he was. And with that thought dominating her mind, she headed in the direction of Bellamy Blake’s tent. His escapades weren’t exactly some big secret around here. With a camp of about a hundred people only separated by the fabric of tents, it was kind of difficult to keep any kind of secret. But no, Bellamy offered the added bonus of being the one guy in camp Finn so obviously couldn’t stand. And while Raven wasn’t always his biggest fan, she knew he was the perfect candidate to serve her purpose.
Peeking her head inside she took a quick look around his tent to find he was nowhere to be found. Maybe that was a sign. Maybe this was a bad idea and she should just leave and forget the whole stupid plan. But the longer she stood idly in his tent, the more she thought about them together. She needed this distraction and she desperately needed it to work. Digging her hands in her pockets, Raven waited silently, forcing herself to stay put even though she swore she could feel her heart shattering as the seconds dragged on.

He was playing along, which only served to make the encounter all the more fun. There was no real harm in enjoying it was there? As long as she got the job done. Hell, maybe she’d even visit him in jail. The flirting was harmless and served her agenda. She just needed to keep him distracted and underestimating her enough to give her the advantage in the race. Not that she needed it of course. Cars were her whole life, she could tear down and build one up again from scratch. But still it didn’t hurt.
She smiled as he laughed at her perhaps a little over the top implications. Forcing herself to remember that this was the very same guy that almost completely ruined her nearest and dearest…car. As he officially accepted her challenge moving closer, she stood her ground. Letting him know Raven wasn’t intimidated in the slightest. “Good, let’s do this.” The sudden silencing of the crowd froze her in her movements. A sobering reminder that this whole operation was a high risk. She could get arrested. And while she did have a friend in Bellamy there was really only so much he could do for her. No more messing around. This was a personal selfish vendetta, but it was her personal selfish vendetta. And there was no way she would scare that easy.
"... line her up." All it took was those three words to set get her heart beating hard in anticipation and excitement. It was time for the real fun to begin. Before hopping in to her car she glanced at Murphy. “Hey, good luck. I think you’re going to need it.” Lining up her car next to his she checked and fiddled over all her gears, her hand gripping the steering wheel. A girl in shorter shorts than Raven if that were even possible stood between their two cars holding up a flag. Keeping her foot hovering just above the accelerator, Raven took one last look at John. The ditzy flirty look vanished and gone, only to be replaced by intense determination to beat his sorry ass. May the best man…scratch that…woman, win.

Raven kept herself busy with her work, fixing some of the screws used to hold the walls of Arkadia together. It was a trivial task, but she needed to keep herself occupied. To stop her mind from searching for memories of a boy she used to love and dealing with the frustration that she couldn’t remember anything about him. She knew that she loved Finn, and he loved her, but his smile, his laugh, even his face was purged from her memory. And ever since she became aware of that hole, it only grew. With A.L.I.E nowhere to be seen since the realisation, she’d been spending some time with Jasper to fill the holes in her memory.
At the news of Clarke's arrival it didn’t take long for Raven to realise there were holes regarding her too. She knew who she was of course, but there were so many things she didn’t remember about her. So many gaps in their timeline it was almost like she barely knew her at all. It’s why she’d practically confined herself to her workshop, using it as an excuse to avoid her and that confrontation. Having her memories taken away was scary, but even that emotion felt dulled. The peace the City of Light offered her was seductive, but the illusion was shattered. And while the pain was still kept at bay by the chip she’d taken, Raven was all too aware that none of it was real. “Hey. What are you working on?” At the sound of her voice, Raven sat up abruptly. She recognised her voice which was a good sign. “Clarke?” standing up she turned around, a smile spreading across her face at the sight of her friend. Yes, that's right, they were friends. “I never thought I’d ever see you again.” Stepping forward she finally embraced her, wrapping her arms tightly around the other girl. While she may look a little different now, Raven felt so glad to see her. To recognise her.

Swap it? Swap it?! As if she’d ever swap Dean for any other car. The idea in itself was absolutely ridiculous. “Oh? If I didn’t know any better I’d say you were scared.” She was needlessly provoking him. It was unnecessary but she couldn’t help but be caught up in the moment. He seemed to effortlessly bring out that side of her. And as soon as she started thinking straight she’d learn to be annoyed by that. But the atmosphere was contagious. It was why she tried to stay away from these kinds of things…because of the temptation it offered. This whole underground world was everything she could ever want…with the small disadvantage of being completely illegal. She had to draw the line somewhere. Besides, fixing cars gave her all the satisfaction she needed. Maybe even a little too much.
“You sure you can handle me?” She asked, taking a step forward, her teeth expertly grazing her bottom lip. Treading into dangerous territory there Raven. But it was all part of the plan. Perhaps not all of it, but there were no major deviations. Everything was still on track. “With this,” she said stroking the hood. “I can ride pretty fast if I put my mind to it.” She chose her words carefully, adding a smirk and coy little glance to the ground. “Last chance to back out.” Sealing the deal. She knew he wouldn’t back out now, because if their roles were reversed there’s no way she would back out. While she’d hate to admit they had any similarities, Raven couldn’t help but recognise that same stubborn arrogance that she saw every day in the mirror in Murphy’s eyes now. And dammit she was going to use that to her advantage.

Raven was not about to let Lexa and her damn orders control her life yet again. The bitch had taken enough from her already, she was not going to roll over and let her take her freedom too. The blockade was just another way for those damn grounders to try and intimidate and control the arkers. No more. She was going to show them what they were capable of. Even if that meant endangering her life in the process.
Taking her tools, she managed to sneak out of Arkadia. They probably wouldn’t notice anyway, being too busy fighting each other. It was the perfect opportunity to execute her plan. It was reckless to move so far out of camp but she had to do this. The grenade she’d built was just big enough to cause enough damage to force the grounders to back off. If it didn’t work then she could just use the bomb to catch herself some grounders and gather the necessary intel they needed to stop this war. Or win it, if they had to.
She didn’t however prepare for the possibility that a couple of them would overpower her and knock her out. It was pitch black for so long that she’d seriously thought she’d just been killed. That was the only reasonable explanation she had, until the cold hit her. Ice nation perhaps? It was the coldest she’d ever been in her life so it must have been. As soon as the blindfold was taken off, she realised the crunching beneath her feet was snow. Real snow. Something that might have excited her if she wasn’t currently gagged and bound, while being kidnapped by grounders. Raven had given up on struggling by the time they reached a stronghold. Dreading what would be inside. Perhaps a prison or even a torture chamber. She refused to show the fear already growing in the pit of her stomach, but that wouldn't last long.
The fear turned into confusion when they brought her to a man in what looked like some sort of council chamber. Judging by the way he carried himself and the way he spoke to the others, he must have been pretty important. Her curiosity peaked. “What’s your name?” As soon as he took the gag out she reacted the only way she knew how and spat in his face, a look of disgust and anger on hers. “Let. Me. Go.” She said her voice low but stern, as she struggled again against the ties behind her back.

Gena thought she was being so subtle, but Raven knew her too well. She saw straight through her. They were both actually almost painfully obvious, a blind man could see the massive crushes they had on each other, but for some reason they couldn’t. It was frustrating to watch every time Bellamy came to the bakery with the shameless and to be honest kind of lame flirting that Gena seemed to dig for some reason. It was at those specific times that she wondered how on Earth he managed to get into her pants. But neither of them would make a move. She would flutter her eyelids, he would all but drool and then….nothing. Bellamy would take the doughnuts and leave every…single…time. She couldn’t take it any longer.
It hadn’t been a lie per say. But Raven had needed to say something to get Gena to come so she told her to be her backup on a date Raven was going on with some guy she met at the autoshop. It would be a double date she said, and he was bringing a friend so she needed to bring a friend. “You’d be doing me a massive favour.” There it was. The line she knew her friend couldn’t resist. She was just too kind hearted for her own good. It was just bending the truth. Okay fine, it was kind of lie but the guy, Wells was it? was real and so was the double date idea. She just failed to mention that Gena’s blind date would be one Bellamy Blake. There was no way she would have come otherwise.
Using the same lie on Bellamy surprisingly worked too, though it took a little more convincing and she had to play around with the words slightly. But now all the pieces were set. She just had to wait for them to come to the restaurant. It was the perfect plan. They’d be telling their kids about how Aunt Raven was the reason they even existed. It was going to work, and now the only thing left was for Raven to diabolically laugh while stroking a fluffy white cat. Overkill? Perhaps. But everyone needed to know that she was the godamn master at matchmaking.

BOOM! There it is!
Being mentally detached from the City of Light had its physical side effects though too. She was left spontaneously shaking and waking up in a cold sweat. Even now she was forced to blow her nose and cough to get rid of the almost constant build-up of phlegm. And it was only getting worse.

Raven was hungry. Again. These days she always was and while usually she would find something to sate that hunger, today was different. Bellamy was trying to be helpful and she appreciated it, she really did, but sometimes that was hard to show. Raven cringed as the memory of a plate flying across a room, narrowly missing his head entered her mind. Nothing was working, everything he brought her left her feeling nauseous and light headed. It was so damn frustrating she could punch someone. Another thing she would consciously try not to do again.
She sat on her bed resting her hands on her ever growing belly as she waited for him to bring something else. Hoping to every god imaginable that this would work. Her cravings this time felt almost painful, in the pit of her stomach like an itch she just couldn’t scratch. It was infuriating. As soon as she heard the footsteps approaching she attempted to sit up. No luck. One…more…time. Sighing she gave up, feeling like a turtle stuck on its back. Great, just what she needed. Smiling as soon as Bellamy walked in, she held her arms out expectantly waiting for him to pull her up. “This better work, or else…” she said, before quickly adding a smile so he knew she was just teasing…mostly. Something stirred within her at the sight of him. That itch she’d noticed before became more obvious and it only got worse the closer he got. Hell if she didn’t know any better she’d think it was because…no. That couldn’t be it. It must have been the food he brought. Her pregnancy had provided her with a superhuman sense of smell after all. Yes, that had to be what it was. Because otherwise…she was in big trouble.

Bellamy Blake was chancellor. Finally someone who she could really seeing rising up to the position and filling the role well. She had voted for him of course. Knowing that change was what they needed. He was a natural born leader as soon as she set foot on the ground she knew that. It just felt right that he should be elected chancellor. Abby had been stretched too thin, Pike, as unfortunate as his death was, had become a dictator. At least now with Bellamy, she felt like he was really one of them. Nobody, not a damn person, understood what it had been like on the ground more than he did. He’d made difficult choices for them, to save their people, his people and Raven would forever respect that.
It’s the only reason she felt comfortable enough to approach him now. The realisation that she couldn’t remember anything about Finn had been a difficult one to process. And ever since then she’d been trying to think of his smile, his laugh, hell even his face, but nothing came up. She knew he existed and that she had loved him, and he had loved her, but Raven just couldn’t remember it. Any of it. And now that she was aware the hole it left she couldn’t just stand idly by and let Jaha do this to anyone else. Being mentally detached from the City of Light had its physical side effects though too. She was left spontaneously shaking and waking up in a cold sweat. Even now she was forced to blow her nose and cough to get rid of the almost constant build-up of phlegm. And it was only getting worse.
She hadn’t seen A.L.I.E since then and so took this opportunity to seek Bellamy out and raise her concerns. The grounders were on the quiet side for now, so it was the perfect time to get rid of her and the City of Light once and for all. “Bellamy,” she said as soon as she saw him. “Good you’re here. We have a problem.” It was probably the most imminent threat they were facing, maybe even worse than the grounders. “It’s Jaha, and those pills…they’re messing with people.” It might be too late for her, but others could still be saved. “It’s bad Bellamy. You have to do some...thing,” she said, forcefully coughing on the last word. He was chancellor now after all, and that meant power. The power to stop Jaha before it was too late.

He was interested in the car, that much was clear. He may be a good for nothing thief but she could at least appreciate his taste. Raven recognised that same eager look in his eyes whenever he glanced at it. No way would she admit they had anything in common but that came close. "You sure you want to lose this?" Cocky, she couldn’t help but smile at his arrogance. “I wouldn’t be so sure about that,” she said with a hint of some arrogance of her own. “I hope you’re not too attached to your ride.” She couldn’t help it. There was no harm in enjoying some of this encounter. Her mind was still focused on the task at hand to take his car and humiliate him. But she could still have fun with the trash talk while she was at it. It’s not something you do every day, so why not soak up the experience?
Raven visibly gritted her teeth and resisted a retort to his insulting accusation. Holding her tongue so she wouldn’t blow up the whole plan in her face. It was difficult though, not something she normally did. After a slight pause to compose herself she plastered on a fake smile. “No, this is kind of my pride and joy. We’ve been through a lot together.” But he would know that wouldn’t he. “I’m looking for a new project though, and I think your car might be it.” Her hand stroked the hood of her car as the memory of a banged up Dean being brought into her autoshop entered her mind. It was a sobering thought. A brass reminder that she wasn’t here to make friends. She was here to kick some ass. Some John Murphy ass.

She ignored the stares, even appreciating them a little though she’d never admit it and focused on John in front of her. It was time to finally get a good look. He was about her age she’d say, perhaps a little younger. And may be a little too good looking for his own good. The kind of infuriating handsome that knows they’re handsome. It didn’t take a genius to figure out his main character flaw, apart from the thieving and being prone to malicious vandalism, was arrogance. Something Raven suffered from, from time to time, which made it so easy to detect. It was a flaw she was more than eager to manipulate.
He wasn’t going to see what was coming to him until it was too late. It would be glorious. She took another step towards him, leaning forward on purpose, giving him a clear view down her top and feigning an attempt to wipe something off his shirt collar. “Lucky,” she said in response to being paired up with him. Perfect. Raven was blatantly flirting, playing the part of ditzy fangirl to a tee. It was all part of her plan to make him underestimate her, before she finally got to display her skills and humiliate him. It was a wonder he still didn’t recognise the car. Or perhaps he did. It was reckless of her to come here in it, but she couldn’t resist the poetic nature of it all, where she would beat him in the very car the bastard stole. “Oh?” Biting her lip at his little threat she smirked. “You wanna put your money where your mouth is?” She knew the rules of how this all worked. The winner takes the losers car. It was a risky bet to make…for him. She however was confident in the knowledge that tonight she’d have another car to add to her collection……...uuuhh to hand in to Bellamy to confiscate...of course.
