He kissed her back with more ferocity than she’d anticipated. There was a voice in the back of her head nagging at her to stop but the way his tongue deliciously edged her mouth open quickly muted it. Every reason why this was wrong, and there were many, disappeared into the kiss. And it was only increasing in intensity with no sign of slowing down. And truth be told every fibre of her being wanted this, wanted him. His hands, his lips, his teeth, on whatever part of her body he could reach. And when Raven wanted something she would fight like hell to get it. It was like this kiss was satisfying a craving she didn’t even know she had.
Matching every movement of his tongue with her own, she felt herself internally smirking as they both fought for control, enjoying every minute of this. Threading her fingers through his hair, Raven began moving them back, pulling him towards the workbench behind her. All she knew right now was that she needed more of this, of him. But as soon as her thighs hit the table Raven instinctively broke the kiss, her breathing laboured and heavy as she finally looked Wick in the eyes, her forehead resting on his. Before either of them could resume the kiss she finally let go of him, her hands gently pushing away his abdomen. The same hands that were just passionately pulling at his hair and collar. Flashes of Finn’s face forcing her to put some distance between them. Oh god. What was she doing? How could she do this to him while he lay rotting in jail cell after covering for her ungrateful ass? “We can’t do this.” To him. Her boyfriend. But even as she said the words, Raven didn’t step away, didn’t move around him like she knew she should. Like any self-respecting and goddamn decent person would.

Raven reacted immediately the second Sinclair appeared in front of her. Blood…so much blood. It’s all she could think of. “No” she said frantically as she rushed out of the rover and to his side. Her hands were shaking as the prospect of the man who’d basically been a father to her dying in her arms registered in her mind. He was all she had left. After everything…everyone had been taken from her. Ripped right out of her arms. Her mother, Finn and now…No. Dammit NO! This was not going to happen. She refused. “I’m going to get you out of here.” Even now. Even as the blood spurted out of his mouth he was still trying to reassure her. Still trying to make this okay when this was anything but okay. Raven wasn’t about to lose him. Not now. Not when she needed him most.
Immediately Raven leaped into action knowing she had precious little time if she even hoped to save his life. Especially with Emerson on the loose. Standing or more like limping, putting all her weight on her one working leg, Raven began dragging his body to the side of the room behind some old equipment and out of sight. Each pull forcing Sinclair to let out an agonising hiss of pain. The sound piercing Raven’s very heart knowing that she was hurting him. But it was the only way to save him. “Stay with me Sinclair.” She whispered, unable to raise her voice any louder. “Please.” She choked on the word letting out an involuntary sob instead.
Laying him down she quickly grabbed a rag and and pressed it hard against his wound. The sudden pressure forcing his eyes open and bringing him back to consciousness. It was an old dirty rag but it would have to do. “Look at me, I’m here…I’m here.” She repeated trying to get him to focus on her voice and anchor him to the land of the living. Frantically she looked around, before spotting a first aid kit on the other side of the room. Her salvation.

Raven’s breath caught in her throat the moment his fingers touched hers. She tried to hide her reaction in a poorly concealed cough but it was too late. She knew exactly where her fingers really wanted to be. He was doing it again. Flattering her. For what purpose she wasn’t entirely sure. It almost made her mad. How sure of himself he was. The kind of good looking that knew they were good looking. She’d bet he thought he was in control here just because he knew how to get her flustered. Well Raven would have to change that now wouldn’t she.
She wouldn’t be swayed so easily. His mention of the mountain grounded her for a moment. It wasn’t without cost, she thought to herself, her eyes involuntarily flickering down to the brace around her bum leg. “Well it wasn’t rocket science. But even if it was I’d have still done it.” She’d never been the modest type and she wasn’t about to start now. It would only be arrogance if she was exaggerating her skill. “Their downfall was underestimating us,” She said with a pointed look in her eyes, staring intently now into Roan’s. “Underestimating me.” Raven didn’t even try to conceal the heavy tone of warning in her voice. He may have the body of a damn Greek god but she didn’t trust him for a second and she needed him to know that. If this so called king tried anything to hurt her people, Raven would be the first one to bring him down. Even though it would be a hell of a waste, she thought wryly glancing down at his body once more. What? You can’t blame a girl for looking.

Her hands continued skilfully trying to wring just enough pleasure out of him for it to be infuriatingly short of actual satisfaction. She wanted to frustrate him. To leave him as desperate and hungry for her as she already was for him. His words only proved to confirm that her plan was working. Only they did more than that. His breathless words sent shivers down her body. Every sound turning her on and making her ache even more for him if that was even possible. Breaking the kiss she used every ounce of whatever self-control she could find, which was damned near impossible at this point, and stepped back, removing her hand from its desperately perfect position. The loss of contact was almost painful.
Keeping her eyes on his she continued to step back until her legs hit the side of the bed. Chest heaving and her eyes almost completely black and filled with growing anticipation. The moment felt like it would last a life time, each heartbeat getting louder and louder in her ears and Raven could swear she could hear his too. Pulling the hair tie from her pony tail and shaking it free, she slowly bit her lip, already missing the taste of him on her tongue. “Then come get me,” she whispered seductively, finally answering his previous passion filled declaration. Without looking away, her hands moved to the bottom of her shirt before slowly and deliberately lifting it up and over her head. Now that she was divest of all clothing it was about damn time for him to join her.

Her hands hastily worked to remove his pants, needing to get rid of them and see him, and…feel him. All of him. Not allowing thoughts or doubts to stop her, instead Raven just surrendered her mind to her basic most animalistic needs. Not giving herself a chance to really think this through, the possible repercussions and the unhealthy reasons she was doing this now purged from her mind. Because for now, she just needed to feel something. To feel wanted by someone else, in the way she needed to be. Sure maybe that wasn’t true in this case but she could sure as hell pretend. And the way he touched her, kissed her, tasted her, didn’t leave her working too hard to get lost in the moment. Bellamy was the perfect man for the job. He didn’t make her feel inadequate or second best.
Before she could have a chance to really start to unravel him, he kissed her once more. Returning the favour she all but smirked as he bit her lip, enjoying the pain mixed with the pleasure. Something she’d never experienced before. With Finn, he’d always been tender, loving, and never rough with her. And if she was being honest, Raven had always been curious about what it would be like. Well, that’s what Bellamy was here for. Placing her fingers on his chest, his hand got to her centre first. Breaking the contact of their lips she took in a sharp breath before moaning at his teasing actions. Her mouth and tongue on his pulse point as Raven just experienced the building pleasure. A gutteral groan escaping her throat as he entered a finger.
Though all it did was make her hunger for more. More of him. Using her teeth she grazed his neck, now trailing her nails down his chest until she reached his hardened member between them. It took all her will and self-control to move away from his expertly effective hands, allowing him to slide out of her. Her core already wet and ready for him. But not yet, she wanted more from him first. Slowly moving down his body, Raven kept her eyes on his, letting the anticipation build as her nails continued to drag down the sides of his torso now. With a smirk on her lips she finally looked down, before ever so lightly trailing her tongue up the side of his length, really taking her time. She wanted him to groan and beg for her mouth, for her tongue, for her body. For her goddamn soul. Because she deserved that. She deserved someone to need her that badly even if it was all superficial and temporary. It didn't matter. For now this moment was all that mattered.

Clarke was right of course. Raven would be no use to her in the state she was in. There was no way she could make it all the way back to Arkadia in one piece without getting seriously ill or worse. She shuddered at the thought. Another cough shook through her as if affirming Clarke’s statement. She needed to get better that was certain, but Raven had never been very good with doctors and general medical care. Hell she drove Abby insane, hopefully her daughter would fare better. Raven was stubborn and impatient, but she’d just have to suck it up. The sooner she was well the sooner she could get the hell out of here and take Clarke with her. “I’ll trust you with that doc,” she said with a small smile.
Her brace. She’d almost completely forgotten about that. The general aches and pains plaguing her body, masked the acute pain she usually suffered in her hip. “I’ll need to see it to really assess the damage.” Hopefully it wasn’t too bad. Maybe she’d get lucky. It was rare but Clarke finding her out in the cold had to be some kind of god damn miracle. Why not two? “Hand it over here,” she asked. “Right off the bat, I’m probably going to need some tools, a screwdriver at least, or anything like it.” If all the pieces were still there all she’d have to do is put them back together. Piece of cake. “Think your grounder buddies can handle that?” Raven couldn’t help a little smirk from appearing on her face at the light tease. It was almost like before Clarke had left them. Like nothing had changed. But of course that wasn’t true. Everything had changed.

Raven rested her head for a moment as she tried to concentrate on Clarke’s words coming from beside her instead of the steadily growing pain. “You’re mom probably needs you about as badly as I do…maybe more.” Abby had been subjected to pain too, it was a miracle they were both alive. No…that wasn’t true. They were alive because Clarke saved them along with the others. But she made the hard decision to save them all and miracles had nothing to do with it. It was either us or them, they were alive because that’s just how warfare worked. Raven needed to remember that. “HEY! Damn it Clarke!” She jolted up, a scowl on her face as she looked down at the syringe Clarke had just shoved into her leg. “A little warning would be nice.” She said, hissing it through her gritted teeth. Remembering why she’d always hated medical so much. It was probably better this way, Raven had a particular aversion to needles. Better to get it over and done with. But still…
She looked away as Clarke inspected the injuries, not wanting to see the product of their brutality. “They weren’t really looking to make it clean and I gave them kind of hard time.” There was no way she was going to just let them drill into her leg without a fight. "Can you describe the pain you felt?" As soon as Clarke’s question registered in her mind Raven froze. "It was..." The pain she felt…was indescribable. The memory forcing her to visibly wince. And not something she cared to relive. She paused for a long moment, the question hanging in the air as she looked at Clarke, or rather through her. Tears in her eyes threatening to fall, before she abruptly sniffed, forcing them back and pulling herself together. “Look Clarke, I’m trusting you to fix me up and I want you to stay and everything but I never want to think about…what happened again. So you’re just gonna have to work without that description.”

Raven could see him contemplating the options. But really how many options were there. The smart thing for him to do was obviously leave and pretend like this didn’t happen. Like kissing him meant nothing. Only they both knew that wasn’t true. And while they could be good liars at the best of times, even they couldn’t get out of this one. His decision to bring thought and reason had been the right one. This was all her fault, she’d been the one to initiate all this. Raven inwardly sighed at her stupidity and inability to control herself and her desires. Their relationship had been in a fragile enough state as it is and now she’d knocked it completely off balance.
But then he kissed her. Really kissed her. Every doubt and thought of how this definitely shouldn’t be happening left her the moment his lips touched hers. Instantly reacting to the contact, her fingers moved to thread through his hair once more. It was like she could breathe again, suddenly realising just how much her body had been starved for this even in those few moments apart, for his hands on her body, for her tongue to taste his. This is what she’d wanted all along, no, needed all along. And it was about time she admitted that to herself. But soon it wasn’t enough to sate her desire. To truly satisfy that craving that had been plaguing her for what felt like centuries. Bellamy it seemed was just as eager as he moved his hands over her swollen abdomen to unfasten her pants. Her own moving down his back, her nails digging in as she moaned into the kiss. This was everything she’d wanted for so long without even realising it. The moment threatened to overwhelm her. So instead she moved to slide her hands under the front of his shirt, lifting the fabric over his head to expose his bare chest. Breaking the contact of his lips on hers. But not for long.
Her eyes burned with need at the sight of him. Licking her lips, Raven moved to kiss and bite at his chest, dragging her tongue and teeth along to taste as much of him as she could before moving her own hands to help push down her pants. Desperately needing there to be less fabric between them. But before she could move to unfasten his own, Raven couldn’t help the selfish need to press her hips into his, feeling his growing arousal at the junction of her thighs. Hoping to relieve some of that pressure. But it only served to increase that desperate tension and only he could offer her release. Slowly her hands slid between them and down his pants, instead of moving to take them off she decided to grasp him, her fingers expertly moving slowly along his member. An unintentional smirk appearing on her lips as Raven slowly savoured the moment, taking her time to unravel Bellamy Blake. See she hadn’t really had the chance last time.

His quiet comment only confirmed what she probably already knew. He’d only remained so in control because he’d believed every word she’d said while under A.L.I.E’s influence. “Yes…they were.” It was in his nature to stubbornly hold onto blame. A quality she recognised because it was one they shared. None of them were innocent but Raven wasn’t about to allow him to wallow in self-pity. It wasn’t his job to take on the weight of the world. And now Raven understood him better than she ever did before, knowing all these things about his life, how he’d suffered. And to be the person to reopen those wounds so callously…crushed her. The culling, his mother, Clarke…Gena. That one really hurt.
She couldn’t help but replay their conversation over and over again in her mind. Each time remembering some other god awful thing she’d mentioned. It was all A.L.I.E…but it still fell from her lips. “Look at me Bellamy, you…you saved my life.” They all did, and she’d forever be grateful for that. “So you can’t be all bad huh?” She said with a small teasing smirk. An expression she hadn’t had the freedom to use like this in so long. …Too long. Gently, she took the hand he wasn’t occupied with and laid it on his own, her smile small but more genuine.
Even now while they spoke and he changed her bandages, she still couldn’t help but occasionally dart her eyes around the room in paranoia expecting to see red fabric hiding behind some god forsaken rock. “You don’t need to worry about me. I’ll be fine.” Eventually. “…but…I gotta tell you Blake…Don’t get me wrong I hated her in my head…so much it terrified me, and I never want to see her again. Ever.” She questioned whether she should continue before taking a breath and doing it anyway. “She was just with me for so long it feels…strange without her,” Raven looked down towards the end of her admittance in shame. “It’s insane I know.”
Every sensation was different, the pain in her leg, and now her arm, even the emotional pain was…too welcome. She hadn’t processed anything like it in so long. All of this was just too good to be true. “What if my plan didn’t work? What if…she’s just messing with me?” Normally Raven would never admit anything like this to anyone. She’d sooner die, or kill than be perceived as weak. But he wasn’t just anyone. This was Bellamy, and with everything she now knew about him...on a much more personal level...Well, she trusted him.

Everything he said was true and deep down she really knew that. But she couldn’t help it. Every word she had said to him, each comment more hurtful than the last, the way he just sat there and took it…It broke her heart a little. She would never forget his face. How could she not feel guilty about that? A.L.I.E asked her to hurt him, but it was Raven who found the words to do it, maybe not all of them, but enough to fill her heart with regret. “I know I just…” It was difficult not to blame herself. “I couldn’t…help myself,” She had completely lost control to the bitch in the red dress. One of the most terrifying experiences of her life. She herself had chosen to submit after all. The memory of that encounter still a fresh wound in her mind. Even now sometimes when she closed her eyes she would see flashes of the indescribable pain A.L.I.E had forced her through. Almost like she could feel it again. For just a moment. Like some sort of phantom pain.
If she had just held on longer maybe? Or if she had never taken that stupid pill in the first place, none of this would be happening. Raven had given her the power to change so many people. To take...Abby. Now that was definitely her fault. Perhaps Arkadia wouldn’t be run by zombies right now if she hadn’t been so damn weak. “I never meant to hurt you.” A.L.I.E however did. And what a way to do it. It was unforgivable. And Raven would make damn sure she got what was coming to her. “They were all lies, just to provoke you.” Which they…didn’t. Maybe that was why she felt so guilty, and felt the need to affirm that everything she’d said was untrue. Because judging by the way he reacted, either he had some mad skills at self-control….or he just accepted every word.

It took all of Raven’s will power to actually pay attention to the words coming out of his mouth rather than stare at his very shirtless chest. The muscles flexing even as he spoke. Now that was fascinating, not anything she was currently doing. His words definitely flattered her, but she would not be so easily swayed. Raven wasn’t going to be just another one of those girls who fell over themselves just to get his attention. She had more dignity than that. “You sure are,” she whispered in response to his comment about being strong and dominant, more to herself than anyone else in a barely audible tone. Not intending the words to actually come out of her mouth. But she couldn’t help it. So much for dignity.
“So it’s not just me who’s been looking then,” she said audibly now, with a smirk, finally finding her voice. He knew about her job it seemed. That she was a mechanic who created devices for her people to use. Or at least as well as he could understand it. She hadn’t been the only one admiring craftsmanship after all. He’d been noticing her just as much as she’d been noticing him. Perhaps that wasn’t exactly true but nevertheless, the thought alone thrilled her. “I’m sure you’re not just strong and dominant.” Raven added trying to regain her confidence. She was Raven Reyes goddamit, she did not get flustered around shirtless men. “You seem like a man with many other…skills.” Her tone doing little to hide the suggestive nature of her words. It was risky and probably inappropriate especially around a king, but that’s just how she rolled. The line was just too good for her to resist.

Broken
Apr 15, 2016 22:53:33 GMT
Post by cherry1 on Apr 15, 2016 22:53:33 GMT
Raven froze for a moment when she heard someone respond to her. Not just anyone. She’d recognise his voice anywhere. It was Murphy. And it had been so clear, and such a biting remark that it couldn’t have just been her imagination. It had to be the real deal. He was here. The realisation sobered her up. Slightly. As soon as he walked into the light her suspicions were confirmed. The bastard had returned. “Admiring your handiwork?” She asked looking down at the brace around her bum leg. The leg she couldn’t properly use because of the man standing barely a few feet away from her.
She wasn’t usually this bitter, choosing to bury herself in work rather than actually face her feelings. But tonight was a particularly bad night for her. The chronic pain radiating from her hip especially unbearable. While she had been content in just drowning herself in booze for one night and beating herself up about all her past mistakes, Murphy’s sudden appearance offered an interesting alternative. Raven would much prefer to take her anger out on him rather than herself. And well he’d just have to accept that he’d come back to the wrong place at an especially wrong time.
“Come on Murphy, I’m just playing around,” but her tone was about as far from playful as you could get. The expression on her face lined with bitterness and disdain. “Here have a drink, no hard feelings I promise.” She mockingly crossed her fingers and smirked, almost laughing at the ridiculousness of the image of her and Murphy sharing drinks and stories. After everything he’d done to her. Everything he’d taken. Raven refused to believe she was actually keeping him here because of how desperately lonely she was, rather than her masterplan to take out all her pent up rage on him. No, he needed to feel regret. And goddamit she would make sure of that.

The tension in the air was so thick she could probably slice a knife right through it. Even with her mind occupied by her task, she still couldn’t ignore the uncomfortable air. Just standing here gave her goose bumps. Walking further into his workspace at his affirmation, she sighed. He could barely look at her. It was so obvious that he was in pain. That he had suffered, because of her. All that she could think about was how all that pain could be taken away with Jaha’s key to the city of light. In time Wick would understand, he would take the key just like she did, just like everyone else would.
But that would have to wait. She was here for a completely different reason. Walking around his chair she sat on the edge of the table in front of him, slightly invading his personal space, and forcing him to look at her. Every move she made was deliberate and key to getting him to help her. It had been so long since they’d spoken, since she’d really seen him. She could barely really even remember just how long it had been. “I have this thing, well it’s more of a job really,” she started to explain, cutting right to the chase. Preferring that approach rather than awkwardly beating around the bush. “I could really use some help.” Not words she said very often, if ever. It was a risk, who knew how he’d react after all this time. “I need you,” she said at a lower tone, leaning forward slightly. It was mean, manipulating his feelings for her. But it was necessary to get the job done. He would forgive her...eventually.

Raven barely said a word to the others the whole way to the cave, choosing instead to pretend to be sleeping rather than face anyone. The relief of finally being free of A.L.I.E overwhelmed her, to not have to see that bitch’s face everywhere she turned, to not have every thought and movement controlled by her. It would take a while before the feeling of terror passed. Every time she opened her eyes, Raven couldn’t help but feel afraid that she would see her again. That this was all just some plan to lull her into a false sense of security before taking over once more. She never wanted to feel so helpless at someone else's mercy ever again.
It was silly, she knew rationally that it was impossible, they’d all told her how they’d seen Clarke remove what was left of the chip. But she was still so goddamn terrified. A.L.I.E would never stop until she got what she wanted, Raven knew that better than most. It had almost killed her after all. Sitting in the cave, away from the others, it was better this way. While she knew they were all aware that everything she’d said was A.L.I.E’s way of manipulating them, Raven couldn’t help but feel responsible for giving her the ammo. The memory of every awful thing she’d said to Japer, Clarke…Bellamy, made her cringe and filled her with guilt. While it hurt, it was still a welcome emotion. Any emotion was better than feeling absolutely nothing.
Taking one last scan of the room, frantically searching for signs of her signature red dress, Raven’s eyes landed on Bellamy walking towards her. She could barely look at him after everything she’d said. Things she could never take back. “Thanks.” It was a kindness she barely deserved. Holding out her arms, she finally looked at his face. “I just…need you to know,” taking a breath she continued. “What I said…back in that place…I didn’t mean any of it okay?" He needed to know that. “None of it was true…and I’m…sorry.” Unable to look at him while apologizing, Raven instead focused her gaze downwards at her wrists.

Raven rolled her eyes at Bellamy’s overprotective nature, looking over at Abby apologetically. It just got worse the more pregnant she got. She was very gracious about it though, as always, as if she’d anticipated his unease. Assuring them both they had nothing to worry about. Leaving Raven to sigh in relief, letting out a breath she hadn’t realised she’d been holding. Okay, so maybe Raven had been a little bit concerned about the scary looking machine too. Maybe. Though she’d never admit that to Bellamy. The man definitely needed no encouragement. But even so; there was no doubt in the trust she held for Abby and her skills. She was only person Raven could trust with this.
Taking a deep breath, Raven shuffled back as Abby switched on the ultrasound machine, the nerves really starting to set in. As if every single fear she’d ever had about the baby’s health came flooding back in one huge tidal wave of horror. She lifted her shirt, attempting a smile as Abby warned her about the cold nature of the gel. Oh god this was really happening. They were going to meet their baby. As soon as the gel touched her abdomen, Raven’s hand reached out instinctively to Bellamy’s. Threading her fingers in his, craving the contact for reassurance. She squeezed as Abby finally moved the probe across her stomach. “Okay let’s have a look shall we?” She said calmly, her doctor voice on. After a minute of panic, the thought of ‘what if there isn’t even a baby?’ crossing her mind, she finally heard it. The lightest fluttering sound. The heartbeat. “Here’s your’s baby’s head, the feet and…here is the heart, completely healthy.” Abby said, straining forward to point at the tiny thing on the screen.
This was real. They were having a kid and this was all real. But most importantly their kid was so damn “Beautiful.” she choked out, only just now becoming aware of the tears running down her cheeks. Tears of joy. And in that moment all the fears and doubts she’d held about their kid, being a good mom, if she’d be able to raise it properly just disappeared, in a moment of true bliss. There it was. The glow. She finally felt the goddamn glow. Her heart was so filled with love for this thing she’d never even met. It was the strangest feeling, looking back at Bellamy, she couldn’t help but think there was no one else in the world she’d rather be doing this with.
Everything was perf…”Wait.” That one word shattered her whole world. “Oh god, what is it? What’s wrong?” The fears rushing back. “That….right there, is another heart.” Of course. She’d been through so much physical damage it was a wonder the baby had survived. There was bound to be something wrong. Of course it had two hearts. Could it survive with two hearts? Raven had never heard of a person with two… “Raven, Bellamy, you’re having twins.”. . . . “…what?” She’d been anticipating a lot, every problem, every surprise under the sun. But twins, was not one of them. Abby continued showing them the rest of this new, surprise baby, with Raven stunned in silence the whole time. She didn’t…she wasn’t…twins?. . . . Really?! “Do you want to know the sex of the baby...sorry, babies?” She just looked at Bellamy, an almost comical look of shock ruling her features before glancing back at Abby. “But…twins?”
