She didn't miss the sigh that left Fox's lips. She knew the girl was probably tired of hearing how important rest was. Nina could only imagine how awful it had been, being stuck in medical for that long. Nina herself had suffered an injury back on the Ark and she had been less than pleased over being forced to stay in medical. It had practically killed her to be sidelined from training. But she knew the repercussions of pushing an injury before it was fully healed. Her dislocated shoulder had taken a few steps backwards after she had insisted that she was perfectly fine to train again. It had been the wrong thing to do and Nina had been given many glares from the doctors after screwing up her shoulder again. So when Nina told Fox that she needed to rest, it wasn't because she thought the girl needed it, it was because she knew how much it would suck if she didn't get it. Speaking from experience was always something that Nina tried to do, and especially now with Fox.
The girls finally reached the door and Nina grabbed it and pushed it open, holding it so Fox could walk through the threshold. She pursed her lips at Fox's question. Had they really lost anyone? Nina didn't know of anyone that had died inside the mountain but she knew it wasn't impossible. She supposed she had never really asked about that because she didn't know any of the juveniles that had been in there in the first place. "I think Jasper's girlfriend..." she said slowly, trailing off. "Maya or something." From what she had heard, the girl had helped all of the Arkers without hesitation. She was the reason a lot of them, including Bellamy, were alive. Nina admired what the girl had done despite not knowing her.

She knew it wasn't a popular opinion and it was one that often had to be kept to oneself, but that didn't stop people from having it. Nina had tried to get along with the Grounders. She had tried to embrace their short lived alliance. But it had failed like she knew it would and now they were mourning even more people from Mount Weather. This was not something they could ignore. Ice Nation was a part of the Lexa's coalition and while Lexa claimed to get justice for their people, Nina wasn't putting a lot of faith in the Commander. A grin crossed her face at Raven's sarcastic comment. She thought it was funny. Nina always thought she was being funny.
Glancing at the bombs, she thought about Raven's comment. It made no difference to her what they did with the bombs. She knew they were used to hurt people. It just wasn't until now that she knew which people they were going to hurt. She supposed she should have known all along but it wasn't something she dwelled on. Chuckling, Nina shrugged her shoulders. "Think of it like that game they used to have before the war, Whack-A-Mole. Only we're playing with Grounders and instead of hammers, we have bombs." She grinned at the idea. Okay, she could definitely be down with this plan. Nina was always up for a little ass-kicking and the idea of killing people didn't turn her away. Well, the idea of killing Grounders didn't turn her away.
Her eyes watched Raven dig through her bag as her offer to bail hung in the air. It probably would have been the smart thing to do. One could only imagine how much trouble they would get in if they got caught. But she also thought that they would have plenty of support back at camp as well. Pike and his people were furious over the explosion and had not calmed down over Lexa's promise. Nina walked a little closed to the girl, folding her arms across her chest. "Oh no," she said with a grin. "I'm so ready to blow up some Grounders." The more she thought about it, the more she grew excited for this plan. |

Nina laughed at Harper's comment, a genuine laugh. Leaning over she pressed a quick kiss to Harper's mouth before retreating back to her spot on the ground. "Shut up," she said through a giggle. Nina didn't really remember what they had for breakfast. She couldn't remember what she had shoved into her bag for food, as she had just grabbed what had been given to her. Rolling over, she grabbed her bag and sat up, digging through it. She pulled out a few things. "These weird nutrition bars from the Ark," she said. "And some of this meat jerky stuff." Food was a little limited at the moment but it would hopefully get better with farm station around.

Nina could detect the uncertainty in her voice and she pursed her lips, keeping them shut while she listened to Clarke speak. Not knowing what to do was apart of life and it was something that Nina often struggled with herself. Just because she appeared to have things together most of the time didn't mean that she did. "There's nothing you can do about that now," she began. "All you can do is learn from it. I know you would want to go back and choose differently but you can't. The sooner you accept it, the sooner you can learn from it." Nina wasn't sure she believed her own words, but she just needed Clarke to. But she also knew that Clarke couldn't continue to hang onto the whole TonDC bombing thing. It would drive her insane and she would go crazy from all the guilt.
Nodding her head, she agreed with her suggestion to move out of the woods so they could see the sky. Hopefully Clarke could get a better read on their location once they did that. Nina began to move out of the woods, heading in the direction of a possible clearing where they could properly see the sky. "We can't all just run away from our problems, Clarke," Nina pointed out. "Those kids are going to need you." She knew they looked up to Clarke the most. It didn't matter that the other Arkers were down here now. It was those kids that would need the most guidance and Clarke was their best bet.

She walked next to Roan as the two left the room they had just occupied. Nina was thankful that he had agreed to leave for Azgeda. She was anxious to get the trip over with so she could return home, but she also wasn't a huge fan of long journeys. They arrived at the horses and Nina walked over to one, stroking the nose of the horse in an attempt to keep it calm. She had ridden a horse once or twice but always prefered to be inside the rover. But she had enjoyed helping Octavia take care of the horses at camp so she was no stranger to horses, nor was she afraid of them. "I can ride," she said to him, looking away from the horse for a moment to look at Roan. She scrunched up her nose at the mention of how cold things could get. She hated being cold. Nina was really proud of the progress Harper had made since they had started to train together. Attempting to train someone had been an uneasy idea for her at first, but it was something that came naturally to her. She was a good teacher and she enjoyed helping people train. It was probably one of her favorite things to do whenever she had some downtime. Not only did it help her release pent up energy, but it added to the security of the camp. Better trained guards meant a higher level of safety for everyone else.
They sparred for about ten minutes and Nina realized that Harper wasn't quite putting everything into her kicks and punches. She knew that it was probably Harper's way of making sure she still felt okay and while the gesture was sweet, Nina couldn't help the feeling of annoyance that overcame her at knowing someone was going easy on her. But she kept her frustrations to herself, knowing that it wasn't Harper's fault and the fact that she wasn't going as hard was probably for the best considering Nina's current position.
She looked up to see Harper looking at someone behind her, an unreadable expression on her face. But before Nina could turn around to see what the girl was looking at, she felt a presence beside her. Bellamy. Oh, fuck. His tone of voice told her that he was beyond peeved at what she was doing. She knew it was a little stupid on her part but she had been going crazy not being able to train. Besides, she was being careful. When Nina finally looked at Bellamy she could see how unhappy he was with the sight in front of him. "Training with Harper," Nina said with a nonchalant tone. He didn't like making scenes and she knew that. Nina had no intention of leaving this training session. "That was a quick patrol," she noted, attempting to move the conversation elsewhere. She knew it was a futile attempt, but she made it nevertheless. |

She promised that she would teach her how to turn a defensive move into an offensive move, just not right now. Nina was still warming up, having not been to a training session in over a week.
