whatever THE HELL WE WANT The plan hadn't been overly elaborate, but it was the best Bellamy could do considering the limited numbers they had. The Grounder was still dragging Finn along, as they had already lost the other. He had Sterling and Monroe, and he had told them to charge at the specified time. But they didn't. It had left Bellamy there, vulernable, and lessened the chance of getting Finn free and saving whomever he could. He had no idea where the others were. When that explosion hit, he, Finn and whoever else was left outside had made a mad run for it. So he needed to collect whoever he could, Finn included, and get back to the drop ship.
But Tristan may add Bellamy to the list of casualities of war. He beat him senseless before tying him up and dragging him along with Finn. He knew full well where they were going: to the Commander. To be questioned, aka tortured. But they still had time to find a way out of this. They had to. Suddenly Monroe and Sterling came charging out of the bushes, which provided them with the necessary distaction.
But things took another unexpected turn. Gun shots. Bellamy instinctively went to the ground, having no idea who was shooting, but whoever it was . . . had impeccable aim. One in the chest; one in the head. It wasn't a delinquent. When the others stepped out into the clearing, Bellamy looked at none other than Marcus Kane. "We're here now. Everything's going to be ok." Bellamy exchanged a look with Finn. Like hell it was.
The Arkers had no idea what was happening, but Bellamy welcomed the numbers. When the others stepped out, Bellamy staggered to his feet. His vision was hazy, his face covered in blood and bruises, and Abby came rushing toward him. He dismissed any need for medical attention, stating he was fine and that he needed to get to the drop ship. They informed the newly arrived Arkers that the others were there, Clarke should be as well.
Marcus split the group, Abigail Griffin joining them. They didn't waste a second, which was perfect. Bellamy needed to go back and make sure his people were ok. He walked alongside Marcus, Bellamy's eyes searching their surroundings diligently. "There may be a lot more out there," he informed Marcus. "They use the trees, so keep an eye out above." There was a lot that needed to be explained, but right now, it was just the basics; the details that mattered.

Earth. The final frounteer! It was everything he had thought it would be--and sadly it was much more. Marcus had never planned to see it himself, but now that he was here, he was grateful. Grateful and protective of each life that he and brought down with him. He would not let one of them go to waste. So with that in mind, his first order of business had been going to get the 100 from the drop ship--getting any supplies and getting them home safe.
It was while they were looking that they had heard sounds of fighting. Moving quietly, Marcus came upon a very violent looking adult attacking two that were dressed like they were from the Ark--though it was hard to tell with all the blood over them. He wasted no bullets. One to stop the attack, and the other to end the life. Stepping out of the covering, Marcus approached the kids, taking notice that one of them was Bellamy Blake--the one who had shot Jaha in attempt to get down here. It was clear that the kids were just barley surviving here. They were getting getting hunted by adults and shouldn't have been sent down alone. "We're here now. Everything's going to be okay." They need not worry about being hurting by people bigger and stronger then them along long--for the guard had arrived.
It was no long later before they were walking toward the drop ship, and Blake spoke to him. "There may be a lot more out there," Marcus had assumed that there would not be only one of them out there, so this wasn't news. "They use the trees, so keep an eye out above." Use teh trees? That was news. "We need to know more about their tactics." He told Blake, rather then asking. "Do they hide in the trees? Jump down from them?"

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy listened to Marcus speak of having to learn their tactics. That was going to be a long conversation, one that Bellamy lacked the strength to have in this curent moment. He would only tell what was imperative for the present situation. The rest would come later. Right now, he was more concerned with getting to the drop ship and making sure everyone was ok. "They pull them up," he explained. "They have traps set throughout the woods." It was how they lost Roma, John, so many others.
"We've been at war with them since arriving." That bit was important. Clarke had filled in Jaha about how they were not alone down here, but it was important to mention that the war between them had not stopped. It had gotten worse. And the intense battle they engaged in . . . would not be the last of it. Clearly, Tristan proved that. They had a commander, and who knows what happened to Anya. With any luck, she too had died in the explosion. "They have a lot of primitive weapons. Swords, spears, bows and arrows. Most of which are poisoned." And they didn't have the antidote to it. Bellamy continued to move forward, his eyes casualy scanning their surroundings without appearing overly paranoid about it. He was used to this. More so than the Arkers were. Hell, the 100 were all used to this and the fear they had been forced to endure on a daily basis.

"They pull them up," Marcus looked up to the trees, and his eyes scanned them for signs that people were up there, but he saw no bodies; only groups of leaves. "They have traps set throughout the woods." His eyes feel to where he was walking, wondering what sort of traps. "We've been at war with them since arriving." "Did you ever try making peace with them?" He asked, sounding both suggestive and annoyed that the kids here had not managed to build peace but create war. The annoyance was mostly hidden, and the tone came out autocratic.
"They have a lot of primitive weapons. Swords, spears, bows and arrows. Most of which are poisoned." They had not sent down guns for a reason--it would have been a blood bath with so many violent kids and no law. "If we can get a sample of the poison then we can have our doctors work on a cure so we will not have to worry about that." He knew once the others . . . the grounders . . . saw the might of the guard and their power of the weapons then the war would be short lived. Marcus wasn't worried about it being long--but he rather it not be here at all. He wanted no more death.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Did they ever try to make peace? Was he for real? What, did he think they were idiots? the council was fine with sending down a bunch of 'kids' but when they realized how they had survived, now they decided to question their intelligence? Bellamy had to force back his bitterness and annoyance at the tone and question itself. They had been over estimated and now underestimated. They had been the Ark's guinea pigs. And now that they had survived and proved the ground was livable . . . they acted like they were irrelevant. They acted as if they were nothing. Just a group of naive children.
"Yes." Oh how Bellamy wanted to respond bitterly, or sarcastically, but Kane's title was not forgotten in the Blake's mind. "It wasn't successful. We couldn't guarantee that the rest of the Ark wouldn't be hostile when they came down." Meaning, the crew that Kane came down. Bellamy wasn't bitter or sarcastic, but the words revealed plenty. "If we could, then we would have had peace." But they couldn't speak on their behalf. Had they been able to . . . well, they probably would have been blamed for that too when the Ark came down.
Marcus then made a dismissive remark about the poison, acting as if it was not something they need worry about. That same bitterness threatened to re-emerge, and Bellamy just kept focusing on the task at hand . . . which was not butting heads with Marcus Kane. "We lost a lot of people because of that poison. Don't be to dismissive of its effectiveness." A suggestion. A warning. "Maybe if we had a proper med kit and resources, we could have already found a cure for it." A subtle -- or not so subtle -- way of hinting to the fact that they had been sent down here with practically nothing. No food. No resources. No medicines . . . nothing.

"Yes." Blake said with a bit of a tone that Marcus ignored. "It wasn't successful. We couldn't guarantee that the rest of the Ark wouldn't be hostile when they came down." "Before the radio communications. Why not after?" Marcus countered, knowing that there had been time to reach out. "You could have built a peace between you, and agreed to revisit it when we arrived." Marcus was pointing out the obvious. He wasn't surprised that the kids didn't think of it though. They were criminals. Not envoys.
"We lost a lot of people because of that poison. Don't be to dismissive of its effectiveness." "How many are there left?" He asked trying to figure how many he was going to pick up now. "Maybe if we had a proper med kit and resources, we could have already found a cure for it." True, but he had honestly thought the Earth would kill them anyway. "If you kept the bracelets on we would have been down here sooner to help." He returned, knowing that had they thought the ground livable, they would have sent the guard down so much sooner, and thus could have set up peace, and saved more, and stopped this war the kids had started.
