whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy continued to smile at her words. "You should come. Learn a thing or two." He was teasing her of course. She was both extremely capable and a fast learner . . . quite the excellent combination. "Or just be on standby when someone gets themselves caught in a net and nearly drowns." A joke . . . sort of. Bellamy was bracing himself for not, it about to be too surprised if it happened. People tended to get over eager, over excited and thus, lose any logical thought. He had to keep reminding himself that they were still kids after all.
They'd all been forced to grow up far faster than expected . . . but these weren't elements that they had ever been around before. Some fun had to be found in it -- though Bellamy just tended to classify it as idiocy. Perhaps that was another reason he and Clarke had gotten along so well and why they were the leaders: they never stopped to enjoy themselves. And it was also why Bellamy took the time every morning, to watch the sunrise and spend this time on the beach. "Might do you some good to get some fresh air," he added on jokingly, before stopping for a moment, and kicking some water onto Clarke's back as he smirked proudly. "I can come up with you to make sure if you want." Since Finn clearly could not be trusted to leave after making himself far too comfortable in her space.

“I have no glass windows!!” Clarke protested with a laugh, shrieking as he kicked a water onto her. She’d get him back for that eventually, though she would have to come up with an idea how. “The air in the clinic is always fresh.” The air in every house was fresh and wonderful. Clarke could only close them entirely to protect her and her patients from the cold and that was about it. But that also didn’t matter. “I’ll be fine, Bellamy. I can handle him, you know that. “ He especially knew she had been learning how to properly fight. She still couldn’t take on a big grounder, but she was getting better and it was certainly enough for Finn.
“Not now, BUT!” Clarke grinned as she moved away a bit, still watching Bellamy as she walked backwards. “But you should come tonight! After sunset.” Okay not necessarily after sunset, but around the time. “Monty made this amazing new lamp, I have a fresh batch of vegetables, maybe you’ll catch us a fish for it?” It was just casual in her eyes, as casual as it was between them, which was surprisingly intimate for casual, yet it didn’t mean anything, she thought. “We could have dinner and read a bit, if we have time?” Clarke still walked backwards, hoping for a reply before she had to turn.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy kept his gaze on her as she began to walk backwards, him standing still in place as he just watched her, when she stated that she could handle him. "Oh I know you can," he said with a smirk, his words holding the utmost sincerity for he absolutely knew that she could. "You got one hell of a punch. Don't be afraid to use it," he added on, only half kidding. If Finn wasn't going to get out of the way . . . then he would need a good swift punch. And he knew that Clarke could deliver one. She then suggested them having dinner together at her placee. The way she described it . . . sounded perfect.
The two of them seldom had time to simply enjoy each other's company, even less so being alone together in solely one another's presence. But tonight, he wanted that. Hell, they needed that every so often. Apart from family, Bellamy had never had such a srong emotional connection to anyone. And he always enjoyed exploring that, embracing it however he could. "I'll be there," he assured her, his smile becoming softer rather than one of amusement. "I'll try to make sure no one gets injured or sick." He was joking of course since he had no control over that . . . but was teasing over the fact of her not being otherwise occupied tonight by patients. "I'll bring one over." A fish. For them. "I'll see you then, my queen," he said, ever so slightly lowering his head in a jestful half bow.

Clarkes clear bright laughter could be heard. It was still rare, but with this place, the peace and security they had, she had rare moments, usually with Bellamy, in which she could just laugh and enjoy herself, especially when this man aimed to tease her. She loved those moments. As it appeared the evening promised to be full of those moments, if there was no epidemic event or something like that – given their luck their might just be. “See you, my king.” She laughed again, before turning around to go back up to the clinic.
Finn was really gone when she came back. As there was still no patient, Clarke could sit down and work on the potions and medicine she had wanted to work on for so long but got distracted due to patients of every variety. They came along nicely. Over the day she got patients, though, incidentally around the times the group came together to eat, so she just decided to skip it, as she knew Bellamy wanted to bring a fish and eat with her in the evening. She kept herself hydrated anyway. Once the injures were taken care of, Clarke moved to the private area of the clinic. The sun was just beginning to set, so she started the fire in her little fireplace and turned on the lamp Monty had made for her. Clarke closed the windows to keep insects out, just as she started to prepare the vegetables and herbs to make dinner.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT He continued to smile and watch her until she turned around and made her way back to her clinic and home. Bellamy proceeded to his clothing, pulling it off and deciding to start his own day, having something to look forward to now. Dinner with Clarke sounded rather wonderful he had to admit. When he made his way to Octavia, she had a couple of the nets done and Bellamy looked at it approvingly -- not that he doubted her abilities.
He took a few of the regular gatherers with him and they made their way to the water. He tried to show them the technique, giving one net to each person, while the others watched. As predicted, one of them got tangled up in the nets and fell over into the shallow water. The others laughed while Bellamy just rolled his eyes. Long story short, they had to cut the net off of him.
The second attempt was more successful and they even managed to catch a few of the fish. Bellamy kept one aside, gutting it himself in preperation for tonight. He wrapped it up and kept it to be preserved and avoid it from smelling. The fish would have to wait until later that day and Bellamy used it as incentive to get through the rest of the day. It progressed uneventfully -- which was a good thing. He checked their inventory and they had enough for at least the next couple days before they'd have to set out. Dinner was already prepared with the fish they had caught.
The armory was secure -- as they didn't need to use their guns so much anymore, they kept the weapons secure. The sunset came and went, and before he knew it, it was time for dinner. Bellamy didn't eat with the rest. He helped distribute, making sure everyone got enough and having kept that fish aside, he finally took it, quickly cooking it so that it would remain fresh. Once it was done, he made his way to Clarke's place, unsure if anything had changed since their last conversation as he hadn't seen her all day. He made his way inside, knocking on the wall for a moment before entering, the covered fish on a plate for them. "Looks good in here," he told her. "Feeling the ambience," he added on a bit teasingly but not without truth.

Clarke was just lifting a spoon to her lips as Bellamy came in. The vegetables had given off water, with the herbs they had, Clarke was currently spicing it to hopefully be an edible addition to them. She smiled around the spoon as Bellamy made the comment about her place. It was constantly changing, evolving, making it a home even though the 18 year old barely had an idea how one even did that. But apparently she did. “Thank you.” The blonde grinned. “Thank you. I like it.” She loved it, actually. Deciding what she produced was edible, she picked it up to carry it over to the table, which she had set up.
“Did you bring the fish?” The blonde questioned. She saw he was carrying something, but there was no way to be sure he was carrying the fish. Maybe he didn’t manage to get one for them. Or maybe the others needed him. Either way she had enough to feed the two of them with or without fish. “I really hope I don’t poison you, but if I do, you’re in luck.” She grinned. “I have all the possible antidotes here.” At least every antidote known to them and the Flourkru. “How was your day?”

whatever THE HELL WE WANT When she asked if she brought the fish, he passed it to her so that she could do as she wished with it. He trusted her ability to cook because, clearly, just based off the same . . . she was doing a pretty damn good job to say the least. He smirked at the idea of poisoning him. "I doubt it's any worse than some of the shit we ate when we first came down here." When they had initially landed, and they were surviving off god knows what.
But he didn't have that same concern with Clarke, his words were teasing . . . completely unafraid. Not even the remotest bit reluctant. "But at least you're ready with the remedies," he further joked. "What can I do to help?" He wasn't used to be idle. He felt like he should be doing something, anything to remain active so long as she was. "It was good. Productive. They're slowly learning how to fish, thanks to the nets Octavia helped make." Despite the idiots who got tangled in them and fell over. "How was yours?" He asked, hoping a certain someone didn't bother her or stress her out in any way.

“That’s good.” Fishing was essential here. They lived on the beach now. The sea was easy accessible for them. Fishing was simple, a great source of proteins while they were starting to cultivate plants. Soon enough, she guessed, they would have something stable, something good. She was hoping for it. This place was wonderful. Clarke loved her treehouse. It was perfect even for floodings, though the water never reached even the first hut. Clarke threw the fish in, making sure it took some of the taste as well.
“Look at us. Would you have guessed we’d be here? Save and happy?” She asked him. Clarke slowly carried the food over to him, sitting down with him. Soon everything would settle down and they could maybe make a culture of their own. They needed to make a culture of their own here and they were on the best way. “So will you teach me how to swim, soon?” Bellamy was one of the first to learn, not only from the Grounders, but teaching himself as well. He was pretty good at it. “Tomorrow maybe? My day was quite uneventful, so I might have time tomorrow as well.” They were usually pretty busy, so if they had time, it was a thing she should learn. They all should learn since the ocean was part of their life now and she could not see them move away anytime soon

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy watched her toss the fish on, which only took a few moments to cook before she carried the food over, listening to her previously posed question. "No," he said a bit teasingly, though with truth. "Not in a million years," he added on. "Especially not the two of us," he further teased. Who would have thought. Their first interactions had been tense . . . hell he had thought of cutting her hand off to get the bracelet. But now, she was the only one apart from his sister that he completely trusted. Funny, how things worked out. Gratefully taking the piece of fish, he waited for her to settle before a smirk formed on his expression at her next question.
He couldn't help but smile at that. The fact that she wanted to learn to swim made sense . . . the fact that she wanted him to teach her, made him all too eager to comply. "Sure," he said non chalantly, masking the sentiment of it. Even if it was just logical, he still felt proud that she had asked him, rather than anyone else. "If you meet me first thing in the morning, it's most quiet." Everyone was still asleep and it added a certain peace and serenity to the moment. It was why he went for a swim and a run at that particular time. His attention wouldn't be demanded elsewhere. "Less distractions. More time to actually enjoy the water." Because that's waht it was about. Enjoying the water, not just learnig the technicalities of how to move in it. And he wanted that for her. He wanted to teach her as well as ensure she had fun. "What do you say princess?" He asked, taking a bite of the fish.

Nobody would have guessed they would manage to settle and build something for them, but this place was good. This place held routine and normalcy to the point where breaking the routine in the way of learning how to swim from him, sounded like a great plan. It fit into his routine, mostly, as she saw him swimming more than once in the morning. For her it might allow her to blow some steam off before even getting into the trouble that would surely come over the day. And one day she would need to be able to swim, given where they lived. “Sounds like the perfect plan and a great start to the day.” She guessed she would not only enjoy the water at that, but also the company.
Clarke leaned to the side, against Bellamy now. She tugged her feet under her and reached for a piece of fish that she held in front of Bellamys mouth. This ease in which they interacted was not something they ever defined or needed to define. It developed naturally and was now at the stage where Clarke knew cuddling was an element, as well as sharing food. She trusted him, he trusted her. It was great. It worked and it had to work. However she loved this comfortable level they reached. “I am looking forward to it.” But as soon as she said that, snuggled against his side, she heard something.
The door closed. Clarke sat up and looked around. Nobody there. Confused the blonde made her way to the door to look around, but everything seemed empty. She could see a few figures walk around, but nobody stood out. Shrugging she made her way back to Bellamy and their food. “Probably not that important.” Snuggling back into his side, she popped a vegetable into her mouth.

whatever THE HELL WE WANT Bellamy smiled when she sounded to genuinely look forward to a swimming lesson tomorrow. When she held up the piece of fish to his lips, he took it between them, not even thinking twice about it or showing the remotest sign of hestiation. Their relationship was . . . one that not needed to be defined. Apart from Octavia, Clarke was the one he was most closest to. The one he spent the most time with. A gesture such as simple as feeding him, was one that was seemingly so casual . . . so, unneeded to analyze.
That was what made him enjoy her company so much. It was just so damn easy to be with her. To be himself. Guard lowered, fully at ease. "So am I," he told her truthfully. A sound suddenly snapped them out of this moment as he sharply turned his head to the door. He instinctively reached for his gun that he always carried on him, cautiously watching as Clarke went toward the source of the sound. But she showed no alarm or concern as she non chalantly returned, dismissing it as something that wasn't there, and thus, nothing they need be concerned about.
Bellamy's fingers slowly released the metal weapon, though he wasn't fully relaxed. It was more difficult to remain on edge however once she settled back against him, his arm welcoming her as it wrapped around her back. "I'll check it out in a bit," he told her. Mainly if they heard it again because right now, he was too selfishly comfotable to part from her company. "The food's delicious by the way," he praised, taking another small piece of fish before offering her some, the same way she held it to his lips he now held it for her to taste.

"It was probably the wind." Clarke pointed out as she towed off her shoes to really get comfortable. The wind was unpredictable here by the sea. "Or one of the kids thinking it be great to make out against the medical building." It had happened before - to her great annoyance it had not stopped at that. But they were free and the kids should be allowed to enjoy their freedom. Besides eventually she was sure she would be having sex in here, herself. She at least hoped so, because a life without those pleasures was only half as fund as a life with hem. She missed a lot from the Ark, that was one of the main things, she didn't miss most electronic devices though, having found pleasure in just sitting and watching the ocean, or reading. One of her past times was actually having Bellamy read her something. He was just... unique at it, perfect even. Sometimes Clarke just wanted him to teach children, but as it happened there were no children in their sanctuary - yet. She had no doubt that in a few years they'd have the first babies here and then she could still bug him about teaching them.
Tonight, though, she was just too comfortable about him being here. And with them deciding to spend the next day with him teaching her how to properly swim - further proof on what an awesome teacher Bellamy would make. Clarke stretched out. The food was good and she had a long day. She felt full and comfortable. "How about you stay here tonight?" She asked him. It wasn't like they hadn't done it before. It was a fairly common occurrence. "I might actually wake up at a proper time that way."
