Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved TAG: Isa. WORDS: too lazy to count lol. NOTES: NOTES HERE She smiled when she saw her point of view. Finally! Some words were getting through that head of hers. She stretched her arms over her head and then popped her neck. She was starting to get cramped. That probably meant that she should move around, however this was her spot at the moment. She had to see what the lady was gonna say or do. Hopefully it would go with niceness and whatever.
Whens he said that she only had two people that she cared about, Anna looked at her with sadness. But before she could look back at Anna, she covered it over with curiosity. When she asked the last part, she gave a small shrug. Well, maybe the friendship could prove that not all of us Arkers are savages. Maybe some, but theres some of us like me who wouldn't just kill you for the sport of it. ANd eventually the Arker would also see that. It was taking some serious thinking about that. Anna, personally, wouldn't kill anyone unless they provoked it. And, in all cases, the Arkers had provoked the war that was going on. They had landed on grounder territory however, the Grounders were the ones who made it worse.
Even if a fight was bound to happen we could more than likely avoid each other. Though hopefully that time will never come. She said, giving the woman a slight shrug.

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "I don't think they see you as savages, per se." Isa mulled over the way the Trikru spoke of the Skaikru. They spoke of acts of war, fires and deaths. It seemed as if they rued the day the Skaikru touched the ground. "Cruel and vicious, like a child, but not quite savage yet."
"I never thought you killed for sport." She commented as she rotated her shoulders, which were beginning to grow a bit stiff from having to hold her bow and arrow in this position. While the idea of putting it away crossed her mind, she did not move to do so. "From what I've witnessed and heard it was out of ignorance and retaliation that your people have killed my allies. Unfortunately blood must have blood, and even ignorance can't change that."
"I haven't decided if I'll even fight this war." Isa admitted with a small shrug of her own. "The Trikru are not my people and I have yet to deem the Skaikru a threat to the Azgeda. Unless my commander orders me to fight, there is nothing stopping me from going home if I desired to do so."

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved When she spoke of them not being savages she shrugged. They could be over half the time. Or perhaps that was just for food? When she said cruel and vicious, that was something Anna could agree with. THey did things that Anna herself did not agree with. Hang people. Float them when they lived on the Ark for stupid crimes. She could agree with this woman about that for certain.
When she said they never thought of them killing for sport, she gave a laugh. Oh some of us do though. You just haven't had the honor of seeing it yet. This woman hadn't been around them for long enough. If she had and she saw what they did, she would agree with Anna. It was usually with animals and it was harsh sometimes but it could easily go to becoming the Grounders too. However, that didn't mean that the grounders wouldn't put up a fight. As for ignorance, the human race was ignorant to a certain extent.
Well, you could see what it's like on our side. So you'd then have an idea from both sides. It would give you more of an idea why and what is going on during the war. She'd probably hear of all the food they needed and how they were starving almost. When she said that she didn't know if they were a threat, Anna thought that hopefully she would deem them a non-threat. They could barely survive on their own.

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "Seeing what it's like on your side is easier said than done." She replied with a little smirk. "Your people tend to throw rocks at me when I try watching you and I can't very well go walking into your camp. They wouldn't believe me for a second if I said all I wanted to do was observe."
Until given an order to join in the war against the Skaikru, Isa felt free to explore and learn about what might one day be her enemy in battle. Without an order to join she might step aside and let the war wage without her. The Skaikru were crafty survivors, but they were outmatched even without the Azgeda involving themselves. Even if they survived their numbers would be devastated.
"Did you really come from the sky, like they say?" Her gaze moved up to the trees again, her mind painting an image of the vast open air above the leaves. The Trikru had spoken of the relic that had slammed into the forest and the youth that had spilled forth from it. Immature and untried, they had said, much like children but the people from the sky were learning quickly and adapting. Some Trikru even held some respect for the Skaikru, but blood must have blood and respect could not prevent that.
"Some believe you're not worth fighting." When she spoke her voice was quieter than before, wary of the trees that may be listening. "Your people are adapting well, but some don't believe you'll live past winter at this rate. It's said that your people are having trouble surviving as it is."

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved She shrugged at what she said. Anna got up and moved to a tree next to her. Then she'd sit down and lean back against it. It was more comfortable than having to keep yourself straight the whole time. Your probably right. But instead of throwing rocks they'd probably throw more...deadly items. And they'd be aimed for your face. This was more likely truer than her act with the rock. She could have thrown a knife. But one: She didn't want to kill her and two: She needed her knives.
As for the sky thing, the people who told her that were quite right. Yea. It's called a space station. Our ancestors had created it for the purpose of us being able to survive. And they decided to toss 100 of us down here like lab rats to see if it was livable here. She spoke. She didn't know the reasoning for it, but it had to do with something going wrong in the Ark. Or else they wouldn't have done that. Plus, the people who got floated for stealing would have been pardoned. Something was really going wrong up there. She only hoped that they could fix it, even if it was their fault she was here in the first place.
When she said some didn't think they were worth fighting, Anna rolled her eyes. We may be new and unfamiliar with the lands, but at least we have an half assed idea what we're doing. Whoever told you that tell them to bite me. She said. She was getting offensive about what they thought of the Arkers. They didn't know what it was like up there. At least they had siblings and what not. The only one here who did was Bellamy. And that was why she was one of the 100 here. We can adapt faster hopefully. I've never seen snow, but I hope to live through this war to see it. She said, looking up at the sky in awe.

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS Seeing that Annika had taken a seat, Isa took the opportunity to sink down to the ground and lay the bow and arrow in her lap. She was no longer poised to attack and showing that she was trusting Annika enough not to take advantage of her letting her guard down. "Highly likely. I heard the Skaikru have guns. Haven't seen them yet and I'd rather not get shot."
"A neccessary evil." But she frowned at that. While she could understand sending a number down to test the surface of the planet, she questioned who they sent down. The Skaikru were young and untrained. While they seemed to have some skills, it was apparent they were not fully prepared. A waste of young, strong people. "You were expendable to them, weren't you?"
"I could tell them as much, but they may decide to take you up on such offers." Isa spoke in the flat deadpan she typically used, which made it difficult for most people to realise when she was cracking a joke. She could understand why the woman felt offended by the thought of being considered unworthy of fighting. "From what I've seen, you have adapted well. It's not your adaptability they see as a problem but merely time. It is uncertain you will have enough time to fully prepare for the upcoming cold - especially with your numbers dropping. I do hope you survive to see winter, at least. There is nothing quite as beautiful nor as cruel as snow."

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved She grunted in amusement at what she said first. She had yet to see how they worked. Well, when they worked that was. The bullet powder was so old that it didn't even shoot half the time. That, though, she would not inform the woman. She watched as the woman layed the bow across her lap. Ah so she was trusting her now? That was a good start.
When she asked why there were there in other words, she just nodded. There were no ways for her to cut it short. She just needed to give her the story. Expendable? Yes that would be a good wording choice for it. Half of us are here for stealing because our families were to poor to feed their-selves. Some are here for murder. Some, like me, are here because we were framed for things we did. Or, like one of our own, are here for just being born because the Ark had a law one child per couple. She said. She could get into more detail but it would more than likely confuse her with the way their society had worked in space.
She let out a short life when she said the others may actually take up on her offer. No doubt that would be true. When she spoke of adapting, she nodded. It was mostly true. As she also wished that she could make it. She had read about snow. But she wanted to see it for herself. Speak|Think

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "Criminals." Isa swallowed the information thoughtfully. It made no sense to her to lump in those who stole t survive with murderers. Why let the murderers live at all, especially if there were so many who had to steal to be fed? The Sky People's society did indeed confuse Isa, if only because she saw it as a waste to throw away people who were survivors. That and people who were framed, well, that was a waste of life as well.
"A waste. Sounds to me like the majority of you hundred should've been the ones kept alive. Sounds like you have more of what it takes to live then they do."
"Some advice for the upcoming winter?" She motioned towards one of the nearby trees. "The inner bark is edible. Not tasty, but it'll do in a pinch. It's better tasting as a tea, but it'll make you sleepy that way. Oh, and watch the animals between now and then. You may be able to locate their homes where they may be hibernating or storing food."

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved All she said was criminals. Not in a question for but more as a statement. Anna nodded to her anyway. They were criminals in more ways that one. Except, as far as she knew, Octavia and herself. It was a shame that Octavia was here in the first place. Just because her mother didn't want to...kill a baby. And her. She had no where to begin with her right now. She didn't even want to think about it. Tossing the memories aside, she turned her attention back to the woman as she started to speak.
She smiled and nodded at what she said. They did have a lot of what it took. They knew how to survive and what to do. They had first hand experience for heavens sake. Perhaps that's why they had sent the delinquents down here in the first place? Because they knew that if anyone could survive it'd be them? She hadn't a clue nor did she care that this point. She had freedom instead of having to stay in a tiny cell for another year.
The tips for the upcoming winter were helpful. She had followed Isa to the tree's. When she said bark she made a face. It seemed gross but if it helped them live, then count her in. She nodded at the tips that she gave her. Thank you...? I actually don't think that I know your name. Seeing as we are friendly I guess I could give you mine. I'm Annika or you can call me Anna. I promise I wont give anyone your name. She said, sticking her hand out for a shake.

❅AI GONPLEI❅ AI SWIS "I am Isa of the Azgeda," She inclined her head slightly, looking down at Annika's hand. Confusion flashed across her face for a split second before she connected the dots. She put her hand in hers and gave it a firm shake. "It is good to meet you on peaceful terms, Annika of the Skaikru."
Isa released her hand and returned it to her lap. Her fingers found the tip of her arrow and she began to tap her pointer finger against the sharp edge. She had never been one to sit still for every long.
"I'm still going to spy on your people." She pointed out after a long moment of silence. While she may have an understanding with one, and even the beginning of what might be a friendship, but she was still an outsider to them. Walking into the camp would likely result in her getting shot, or at the very least attacked before Annika could speak up to defend her - if she even did. "I won't harm anyone unless they harm me first, so keep that in mind in case any of your people end up dead or worse."

Long Live The Reckless And the Brave I don't think i want to be saved She smiled when she said her name. The Azgeda sounded new to her. But then again, she didn't know many tribe names. When she looked at her hand confusedly but then realized what it was, she gave her a firm shake. Likewise Isa. She'd speak. She didn't say Isa's title because it seemed formal to her. However, she did not mean it in any disrespect at all towards the woman and her tribe. She'd give her a goofy grin, glad that they weren't trying to kill each other. She watched the woman tap her finger on the sharp edge of the arrow. She kept calm, unsure as to how to take the movement. They were being nice so she figured that she wasn't going to kill her so it must have been for some other reason.
When she spoke, she gave a small laugh. I didn't expect you to stop. You only meet one out of 100 that won't kill you. The others....or anyone of them for the matter, may actually kill you. She said. They were on the shaky foundations of a friendship. The only way it could build was trust and things that make it stronger. Trust me, I'd do the same if I was in your position too. She said, knowing full well what she meant.

❅AI GONPLEI❅ There was no sign that Isa took any offence at Annika not saying her title. There was nothing to be offended of. It was a mouthful and Isa was merely a warrior, not anything grand or high-ranking. Even if she were, she doubted that she would have patience for such formalities.
"They better kill me if it comes to that." Her finger stilled on the tip of the arrow and she pressed a bit harder to feel it prick. When she pulled away a small drop of blood welled up and her eyes dropped to watch it. "Because I tend to hold a grudge. I don't take well to being injured and I'd rather not have to systemically kill your people, you know? I've got a nasty temper."
She glanced up and offered her a small smile to soften the cruelty of her words. It was not among her plans to do any damage to the Skaikru.
"If you were going to spy I suggest being lighter footed. You Skaikru tend to snap twigs and crunch leaves when you plod around in the forest." Isa stuck her finger in the mouth and sucked it clean from blood. When it removed she took a moment to examine the pin-point and saw that no more blood welled up. "You'll also end up with more filling dinners if you don't scare off all the beasts."

A snort could be heard to what the woman said. Then she cut herself with her own arrow. She raised an eye when she saw the blood well up. Maybe it was custom? She honestly hadn't a clue. As for the grudge, they had that in common. But systematically killing her people, well half the time she'd love to do that to them too. When she smiled at her, she nodded. She understood. Most all of the grounders had nasty tempers, it was just something they must of had to have learned. Then came the spying tips. Stomping around and breaking twigs seemed like an appropriate thing to say about them. It was true. It made her remember what had happened at the hunt trip with Bellamy. She was actually the reason why they hadn't brought back dinner. She nodded at her words of having more dinner. They all needed that in life. They were really freaking hungry anyway. "Thanks for the tips." She felt it was appropriate since she had told her that they others would try to, like, kill her. Though that was common sense. Or maybe it was because she was being nice? Whatever the reason, she was happy that she wasn't trying to kill her. Isa

❅AI GONPLEI❅ Once she was certain her finger would no longer bleed she stashed the arrow away into the leather quiver that hooked onto her belt.
"You're welcome," Isa replied with a dismissive shrug. It was really no big deal to offer such advice, even to someone who was the enemy of her allies. While the Trikru may be annoyed with her for giving away such information, they could not do anything about it. It was simple stuff that even children knew, after all. Even if it did offer the Skaikru a slightly higher chance of survival, it was hardly treason.
"Speaking of making noise in the forest... When was the last time you ate?" She glanced at the woman.
