Walking down the halls, seeing the guards as they all bowed before her, Ontari felt powerful. Hell, she couldn't remember a time in her life where she had felt this in control, not when Nia was alive, that was for sure. But even since her death, Roan has tried taking her place, tried controlling what she does in the way that his mother did. Honestly, she was sick of it. All she wanted was freedom and the throne that had been promised to her. The only time in her life she could remember ever feeling this in control and this powerful would have been in battle, it was part of the reason she loved it so much. But this, to just be free without having to constantly fight, there was something so appealing about it and Ontari would not let anyone get in her way when it came to being secure in her position as Heda. Ontari had to admit that things were hard, though. She was tired and wanted the day to end, at least the professional part of it, so that was what she would do. "I'm tired and hungry. No more meetings. Bring me wine!" She called out knowing that her request would be filled, that she would get her wine and that she would not be fussed with any other meetings that day. She was Heda, names or no names, and people listened to her. And if they didn't, Ontari would deal with that. Although... she glanced over at Murphy, her "flamekeeper" and knew that she couldn't deal with people the way she wanted to. He didn't think killing people was a good way to solve her problems. From his dislike of her earlier move, he didn't agree with her violent moves at all. Honestly, Ontari wasn't sure how else they would manage to get this all under control but Murphy had so far been helpful and she would keep him close while he continued to be helpful. As they arrived at her room, Ontari walked in and moved straight to her bed, feeling relief as she sat down on the edge of it. Her body was craving rest, even though the day had not been as long and intense as many others she had faced in her life. The mental strain seemed to have had an affect on the energy her body held and Ontari knew she would sleep soon and early, only after speaking further with Murphy, getting more of a solid idea of how they would get past the reciting of the names. Guards stood near the door, looking at Murphy before glancing at Ontari. She shook her head at them. "He's fine," she said. Ontari didn't trust Murphy completely but she held enough reason to know he wouldn't try to harm her or escape. The locked doors and height of the building were protection enough. And if he did try and hurt her, it would only end badly for him. "Leave us. Let me know the moment King Roan returns." The guards left the door, pulling the doors closed behind them. For a moment there wasn't any sound apart from the click of them closing. As soon as she knew the guards were gone, Ontari brought her attention to Murphy, a rather blank expression on her face. She didn't speak right away, just thought and let herself decided what it was she would say. "This isn't easy," she started. "It would be easier to kill one of them, then the rest would get the message." That had worked for Nia after all, keeping her power through a reputation that said anyone against her would only be tortured and killed.
