How he ended up looking for food when Thalia was more than certified was a mystery. Him and Jay were heading out to look for edible food, something that Miller assured the others that they would be fine. With him as the guard, he needed to check out the perimeter anyway and it would give Jay time to use his technological thingys that were in his pack. Giving Bryan a quick kiss goodbye and a fist bump to Thalia if she was receptive, his last look was upon their scout. Though some of the group were less trusting of grounders, Miller didn't have a problem and so he gave a nod. An 'I'll be back soon, stay safe, I trust you.' nod.
Miller began to lead the way more out of habit than wanting to be leader but he had to make sure Jay was safe. He peered ahead, keeping his eyes peeled for any movements that were not their own as well as keeping an eye out for animals. He wondered what they might encounter - he hoped something delicious and meaty. Wouldn't they be heroes if they brought back a deer or something? Hopefully not a panther. As edible as it was, the deliciousness factor left plenty to be decided. Food was food and they would need to eat, but he just hoped to escape the stringy, chewy panther meat.
Oh gods he was more hungry than he thought. One thing he missed about the Ark was food. And okay, Mount Weather had food as well but it was not worth the blood draining and the bone marrow drilling. "I'm not liking how quiet it is," it was a little too quiet for his liking and he couldn't help but wonder if something was going to jump at them from the shadows.
