THE HELL WE WANT
It had only been a few days since the Mount Weather massacre. Bellamy was no where near healing, but he had allowed himself to be weak in front of Octavia. He'd had a break down after finding out about Tondc . . . but that was the last time he could ever let such emotions show. It had been a combination of things. The weakness from being harvested, lack of sleep, food, and water for four days, the emotional toll murdering three hundred people had caused . . . Clarke leaving. And then the truth about Tondc was the final straw. It had been enough to make Bellamy break down, thinking of what he had done and yet still not being able to properly protect the people he cared about. He was left here to deal with his actions.
He had thought Clarke would be with him. He told her she didn't have to do this alone. He'd pleaded with her. But . . . it wasn't enough. She was gone, and Bellamy would need to adjust to that. He had to, for the sake of the others. There were still delinquents here, the original one hundred. And he needed to set his feelings aside so that he could better lead the people. His saving grace was that Octavia was here. That she was alright.
As was the man she clearly loved. Speaking of whom, Bellamy had not spoken to him at length since their return to camp. He didn't blame him for choosing the drug over the plan. Bellamy had still found a way to escape. Besides, at this point . . . he felt he could only trust Lincoln with his sister. After learning what Clarke had done to dismiss her safety . . . well, that trust was lost. Octavia meant everything to him, and he would not survive her loss.
The older Blake sibling had recently checked into the food inventory. It seemed that they would need to go hunting, but rather than set up an entire hunting party to go, Bellamy offered to go instead. He then picked a partner who would be strong with him and thus, dismiss the need for more than two people. After checking with Lincoln about this, he asked him to meet him at the gate in a half hours time. That time was now. Bellamy patiently waited with his gun, a couple packs of water, a dagger tucked away and a spear. Lincoln was undoubtedly far more skilled with these primitive weapons -- the most skilled at Arkadia, but that didn't mean Bellamy was utterly useless with them.
It only meant that he could learn a tremendous deal from Lincoln, wanting to be better and obtain the knowledge that he had to offer. Seeing his brother of heart approach, Bellamy gave a small nod. "They want us back before dark," he told him, knowing it was obvious but still promised he would relay the order. 'Order', Bellamy supposed . . . since neither he nor Lincoln were one to take orders that betrayed what they believed was right. Lincoln's very being here proved that, and Bellamy could only imagine just how difficult the transition here for Lincoln was.
